Well to some up the last week or so... I got the MTT for my Birthday, I was so happy. Bought: x2 4918 Mini Flyers, a great set, and x1 4994 Fierce Creatures, mainly for parts. And tomorrow I plan to get some more 7618s, some Clone BPs, and maybe another AT-AP podwalker. -Tarfful

Great figs Athos! My favorite would be Zoidberg. One question though where is Amy and Kip? -Tarfful

Hey everyone, I haven't been on in a while, been busy with school, and I was looking back on some of my most resent posts, and what I read was atrocious. I was really being a noob and for that I apologize. I was posting comments, seemingly, without thinking, and was being a jerk. Now that I have realized the error of my (old) ways I am going to: 1- go edit most of my resent posts, and 2- try to not be such a noob. Thanks, Tarfful

I think for the most part your fig counts are a way too high, I mean 20 minifigs in one set, yeah right. *tongue* Also you might want to edit your post because the set ideas are mushed together instead of being in two coloums. *wink*

Two words my friend... new molds. Also I would love a new AAT, H shaped TF transport, Otoh Gunga, Theed Palace, Gungan BP, TF only BP with new arms and guns and a smaller Droideka, plus a Naboo Royal Guard BP, Gian Speeder; you know the Green one that shoots at an AAT in TPM, just to name a few of the things TLG should make from TPM, on another note besides the fact that this a massive run-on sentence *tongue* , this should probably go in another topic. *look* Anyway back on topic, great review *yoda* I was going to do a review until I saw yours. I just got this set for my birthday, it's just awesome, lot's of features and extras, plus 22 new guns! *skull* -Tarfful EDIT: did anybody else notice the $4.00 mark up at TRU and Target, which is wierd, maybe because it's so big and gas prices are ever going higher... anyway for specifics instead of $99.99, like it's supposed to be, it's $102.99. *sceptic* Though that doesn't bother me because I got for my birthday. *tongue*

Just because the instructions don't picture it happening doesn't mean they can't, just look more closely at page 23 of the instructions, blow it up to 100% if you have to and you'll see what I mean. ;-) How is getting 64 round 1x1 plates in 1 set not cool? Arming all my Gungans with lots and lots of Blue Balls ON! :-P Regarding the piece count issue, I added all the pieces up in the piece index section of the instructions and I'm afraid it's higher then we/me predicted: drumroll please..... 1079 pieces! (Give or take a few due to mistakes. X-D ) So the set will probably be between $90-100. |-/ So much for buying multiples of the set. :-/ Very detailed base for GG to stand upon OFF! -Tarfful
-
Good point Silent Help, I thinks so as the underside of his arms are flat so they probably can be joined together. Thanks for the intructions Aayla, they're much appreciated. I'm changing my piece count estimate to around 700 pieces because of the base that GG goes on, which means it will probably be around $70. Stupid base plate. |-/ Goes off to study the instructions more... I know this is going off topic but your sig picture is just too cool, Robin Hood: Men in Tights for castle month ON! :-D -Tarfful
-
Simply stunning, the detail, the beauty, the lightsabers. *wub* That has to be one of the best parts packs ever made. I'm just guessing, but I think the piece count will be somewhere between 500-600 pieces so the price will probably be $50-60. Then again I could be totally wroung, but I don't think so. :-P Once again great find, and a sure must buy for me, that would make this my first UCS set, shamefull I know. :-$ Hopefully this means we'll get better pics of the DGS, TX-130S, and of course the new, hopefully minifig packed, DS. More pics of even more sets ON! Oh, and of course GG not being so much of a wuss ON, too. X-D -Tarfful

Great cars Ralph! The details you packed into your models are awesome! I can't wait to see more from you. Any chance we can see a Dusenburg '20 Grand' from you in the future? *wub* On another note did you said somethin' about makin' airplanes? :-$ Can't wait to see them either. Think (or Google) before you speak (or in this case type). Meaning every car he posted, Shelby, Mercury, Ford, are are American. ;-) America once made great cars |-/ , and they still (sometimes) :-| do, they're just a rarer species now. X-D Examples of modern day American car masterpieces- 2008 Dodge Challenger, Saleen S7, 2009 Chevy Comaro, Mustang, and a few more that I can't remember at the moment. If you don't know what they are Google um', I'm too lazy to post links right now. :-P Hope that helps, Tarfful

Great find! I think I'm in love. A Clone Wars era Y-Wing=awesome! The bubble turret on top is very reminiscent of the bubble turrets on the B-17 Flying Fortress used by the US during WWII. The ship itself looks way more sleek and smooth, which I also like, if not a little stubby. The only thing I can say is please TLG make us one! CW version of the Y-Wing ON! -Tarfful

Help choose a Lego Star Wars 10th annaversiry set (2009)
Tarfful replied to Legoman's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Which BF, I or II? In my opinion 2 has better gameplay but I like 1's levels more. I also dislike to say the least the Geonosis map in 1 and 2, just about the only good thing it has goin' for it is the fact that you play as Phase 1 clones in the 2, in 1 you're always Phase 1s. Sorry for goin' off topic :-$ , but this topic hasn't really been that popular for a while now. -Tarfful -
It's ok TT your native tounge is Dutch and mine is English so of course we would have grammatical differences, as far as I know we only use the Latin plural version of the word ballista. ;-) Yes you should remember it! :-P Either that or start playin Rome: Total War for the PC. X-D It's a great game and is very accurate technology wise, it's an RTS (Real Time Strategy) dating from about 280BC-50AD revolving around the Roman Empire. In fact you should play the whole Total War series, link to TotalWar.com here. (Shameless advertising I know.) On another note reading Pencoins post I like the sound of Roman BPs. Some ideas: Basic Roman BP- includes 2 Hastati (Light foot soldiers), 1 Standard Bearer, 1 Roman Calvaryman, and 1 Roman Archer plus acessories. Price $12.00 Basic Gaelic BP- includes 2 Gaelic Swordsmen, 2 Barbarian Calvarymen, and 1 Barbarian Archer, plus acessories. Prices $12.00 Roman Super BP "Fear the Turtle"- includes 10 Legionaries making the Turtle formation, their Captain, and their Standard Bearer, a weapons rack, Roman Tent and campfire, and a Scorpio (or Scorpian) X-D Price $22.00 Gaelic Super BP "Charge of the Barbarians"- includes 5 Light Gaelic Calvarymen, and 5 Heavy Gaelic Calvarymen, (kinda like regular calvary and Knights for those of you who don't understand.) ;-) and their Captain, plus a weapons rack, and a Gaelic Tent and campfire. Price $22.00 -Tarfful

If there would be rowers it would probably raise the price as the rowers would be slaves in chains, which would double the minifig count, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Regarding the ballista ordeal sorry about the plural thing, my bad :-$ , I forgot about the Latin plural grammar. Also just because ballista in Latin means "any sort of projectile throwing machine" doesn't mean Rome didn't give names to their creations or their ripoffs of other cilizations creations. ;-) Oh, and their "normal" catapaults would have been called Onagers. Also read the bold. :-P -Tarfful

How very enthusiastic of you Athos. :-P Seriously though a good, if a little unimaginitive, list you have there. On another note can people stop assuming it's going to mirror the Fantasy Castle theme or Viking theme, it's getting annoying, I mean if TLG does it they'll probably surprise us with all kinds of goodies, since it would have to (relatively) not compete with castle they would make it different and interesting, they would not make it mirror another theme past or present. :-) -Tarfful

First off Tanotrooper Ballistae can be spelled with or without the E. Second of all Rome did have a ballistae that is the predecesor to the medieval version, here is a reference pic: Roman Ballistae or Ballista Thirdly the Scorpio or Scorpian whichever you prefer is just an upright version of the Roman Ballista, reference pic: Roman Scorpio or Scorpian No illwill is meant by the previous statements :-) , I'm knowledgeable about history too. ;-) (It helps that I play the Total War game series. X-D ) On another note great list, but I think that TLG wouldn't give us both a Roman camp and a Gaelic camp; maybe a Roman frontier fort and a Barbarian settlement. Something to add to the growing set ideas: The Fearsome Roman Bireme- includes 6 Roman soldiers, 1 Roman Captain, Barbarian captive, plus accesories. Price $60.00 Reference pic: Roman Bireme -Tarfful

Thanks Hollisbrick. Who do I remind you of? :-P Don't you mean welcome back? Anyway thanks Bonaparte. For the last time? *wacko* I will never join the dark side, I will always love the Old Republic and all its glory and clone goodness! Anyway thanks Palin Jax. Thanks Brickmaster. Also, son't you mean welcome back Brickmaster? Kind of... kind of! >:-( :-P Anyway thanks ExoBuilder. Thanks Cardinal Brick, and yeah I have been here longer than you, but not by much. ;-) Thanks again guys, Tarfful

This topic I started because of the 'Romas or Pirates' Topic which can be seen here. The question is simple, what sets would you want if TLG made a Rome/Anchient Civilizations Theme? This is the place for posting all your set ideas for such a theme, so lets post away and hope that TLG some day makes a Rome/Anchien Cilizations Theme... Personally, I would like to see: The Mighty Roman Onager- conatins Onager, 2 Roman soldiers, swoads, shields, and some boulders for the onager to shoot. Price $15.00 The Roman Ballistae- contains Roman ballistae, 1 Roman Soldier, spear and shield, and some spears for the ballistae to shoot. Price $6.00 Roman Battering Ram at the Barbarians Gate- contains Roman battering ram, 4 Roman Soldiers, Barbarian wooden gate with small wall section on each side, 2 Barbarians (like Gauls), swords, spears, shields, and bow and arrows. Price $40.00 Thats all for now, from me, now what are your ideas? -Tarfful

What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?
Tarfful replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
How dare you insult the Wookies! Wookies will never be considered 'cannon fodder' or 'sniveling commoners'! >:-( On another note I'd like to see a Clone maintence crew BP. It would include two R2 units, 2 Clones in maintence suits with fleshie Jango heads, some tools in a crate, and a crane to put the R2 units in ships and to lift the crate of tools around. -Tarfful -
Help choose a Lego Star Wars 10th annaversiry set (2009)
Tarfful replied to Legoman's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great idea Swan45! To expand alittle on it how about it including a LAAT/c droping off an AT-TE and a Techno Union Starship with a Sonic Cannon (the turret that shoots Green blobs) for minifigs how about 4 original mold Phase 1 Clones, a Clone Commander, Clone Pilot for the LAAT/c and a Jedi Jimi; and for the CIS some Sand Red-esqe colored Battle Droids, a few SBDs, and the new version of the Droideka. Genosis Battle v.2: an SPHA-T with the mobile command station and a bigger version of the Hailfire Droid. For minifigs 2 regular troopers, a Clone Commander, Clone Captain, Yoda, and some Sand Red-esqe BDs, and some SBDs. -Tarfful -
I for one am ready to make some noise! 501st and other Clone Corps BPs ON! -Tarfful

If any of the "news" turns out to be true Double T sure picked a heck of a day to post it. Surely some of the stuff is false, but I mean some of the stuff is also plausible. On that note I hope that there will be multiple Death Star sets, maybe like my SW modular building set idea. The Silver R2 D2 is probably false, simply because the parts that would be chrome Silver don't take up that much room on him, but then again you never know with TLG, and besides a partly chrome Silver R2 D2 would rock. The only bad thing would be that I don't have the chrome Gold C-3PO. :'-( On another note I hope Double T isn't resigning, but if he is I know we'll all miss him. -Tarfful

Sweet decals LuxorV! I especially like Morpheus. *wub* I don't know about Trinity though, the torso makes her look fat. :-/ Pretty cool nonetheless though, keep up the great decals. -Tarfful

Pretty mutant-licious vig you have there Iamded! >:-) The gore is good, if not a little over done, and the figs are cool considering the dead guy is one of the guys from your one of your other post-apoc vigs. That grillmaster 5000 looks awesome, great gribbles, although it looks like they're just eating the guys raw inards. :-X Overall a very detailed and gory vig, keep um' coming. -Tarfful
