  1. Yeah, have people forgotten about Winged Warrior? To my knowledge there are only five people in the game who can access the class (two of which are inactive, one of which was the only one I've known to intend to use the class). Again, unlike a lot of expert classes, the invitation to offer access to WW is pretty open. It'd also be cool to see an NPC use that class, similar to how we've seen previews of ECs in recent quests (Marauder, Minstrel, Sylvan Ranger, Artisan, Cannoneer...)
  2. Ah, I didn't realize there was that small faction. And I was just suggesting that you build on what's already been established, which is what it sounds like you're doing a bit. I like quests that expand upon the knowledge of Olegaia and its people - and there are still a lot of places left unexplored! Ombracia on the Fang Coast, for example, there's a cool quest idea.
  3. As far as I remember, the clans in the Baltorak trilogy included all of Baltarok. And if not, why change anything? Connections between quests are a big reason why this game is so fun, why not incorporate what's already been done by other QMs (i.e. NPCs)? Actually, this SHIELD skill is run with the lucky- and jinxed-effects. It's unusual, but it's in the rules.
  4. Yeah, I was just shooting out an idea for a class. A Vanguard class doesn't have to be a full-fledged tank. By definition the term refers to a military group/unit that goes into battle first to secure ground, so a high-power, mid-to-low endurance class. They could use weapons that aren't very emphasized in any other class, like axes, clubs, and maces. Just a rough idea. That's a cool guide, we should save this post. I always thought of the classes being divided into Tank, Attack, and Support, but I guess it's a bit oversimplified. That sounds like a really cool class, actually. Though I have to agree with Pie and say that Chi Monk is mostly good as it is. Using no weapons is unique, and otherwise has some pretty cool characteristics. Your ideas sound like good brainstorming material for a separate class, though. That also sounds neat, but kind of similar to Evoker. How about an item (or items) that let Evoker cast spirits other than ones that cause just elemental damage? It would actually go a long way to buff that class a little. Though I do like the class how it is, enemies getting stronger and stronger have just made it less useful. IMHO it's the least appealing out of all the Advanced Classes, which is a drastic change from when the ACs were first introduced and it was one of the most favored. I am glad to see that there still are two active Evokers around, for a while we didn't have any. Yes, please? On another note, 102 looks great so far. I'm most interested to see the dynamic between Purpearl and Nerwen. Zepher, I love how you put those links in. It's not just helpful to the newer heroes; I'm sure the older players forget/have not read a lot of content. Myself included, as I was very surprised to see one of my own quests linked there, and still asking, "when in my quest did anyone control weather? Oh yeah...". I also like the Canoneer/Alchemist hybrid. I can't see hybrid classes like that being practical in the future, but it's a nice flavor class for XX, and you've nerfed some of the skills appropriately. Interested to see how that will work out.

  11. Why would broomsticks be broken? The only class that can use them are Mages (and similar classes), and they're already ranged with spells. The row systems and ranged/melee attacks are an integral part of the game. It's why the Ranger class exists, and it's really the only advantage they have over other classes. IMO armor isn't the main difference either, but a slight difference in health is. SP artifacts are pretty easy to come by for any class (Skrall has 8 SP as a Hunter, Namyrra had 10 as an Evoker/Sorcerer).
  12. That doesn't make him any less powerful. The ability to use items without using a turn is extremely useful (it's one of the reasons I wanted to go Infiltrator). Plus creating items, plus gaining massive amounts of gold in combination with the Dancing Shoes, plus the Marketplace discount... not to mention Guts has the strongest weapon in the game. I'd say he's still close to the #1 strongest hero. Funny, I was reading 96 today and wondered if you changed the Pheles Rod to a dagger with the intention of going Infiltrator. I even checked the class page and Atramor's stats to see how it'd work. Nothing like your absorby/tanky Regulator build, which is cool because of the variety, but definitely still deadly.
  13. IMO, Skrall is not that powerful. Hunter as a class alone is the ultimate boss-slaying class because of their ability to favor types. That's why Skrall was so effective in the Fields of Glory. I'm not saying he's not a strong character stats-wise, but I don't think he's as strong as Guts or Atramor. If I had to pick a list of strongest stat-wise characters, it'd include Guts, Atramor, Hoke, Docken, Namyrra, Tesni, Hybros, Erdathcath, and Eric. Maybe Sarge and Nyx would have spots on there too.   17. Have enemies with 80 SP - seemingly coming from nowhere - really become necessary? Not questioning your QMing/stats abilities, Scuba (you've had some tough battles before that in the end were balanced), but it really just surprises me to see how hard these battles are.
  18. You'd need two enemies, if I understand what you're asking correctly. A dual-strike weapon can either hit one enemy twice or two enemies once each. If there is only one enemy, the dual-strike will hit it twice.
