Yeah, that's fine with me, as long as you're talking about the relic, not the holocron that our character's are currently in possession of. And Adam, you do know that you're with us on the Fortitude, right? Not on Trexxon?

Chrome Vader is very neat looking, and the figure is a good promotional, but doesn't it make more sense to have a gold threepio (who is actually gold in the movies) than a shiny Vader (who isn't shiny at all)? Plus, the new regular Vader looks much better than the old one, and more accurate than either the old or the chrome, while Threepio looks much better in chrome gold than in pearl gold or... yellow...

And I wouldn't think that he would go through all the trouble just to show off. I would feel pretty bad about lying, especially for something so small, but I'm just making an inference based on past experiences with the Internet. But even a really advanced scale would have trouble differentiating the <1 ounce weight. No, I don't think so. Many Lego employees don't know where to find chrome Vaders, so I would doubt that store employees would. To me, the video sounded pretty well-rehearsed, so I think we can rules out that this happened by luck. I know that if I received a chrome Vader, I'd be too busy picking my jaw up off the floor to make a video of it. Shouldn't you know that Lego is made of plastic by now? Although, if those five gold plated 3PO's were ever placed in sets, a metal detector might work...

I heard a lot of good rep from Eurobricks from here, too, as well as Brickset and MOCpages. At first, it seemed like a somewhat unknown site, but I sure was proven wrong. I wasted no time in lurking, and signed up right away. The thing that caught my eye was the front page post in January '08, showing prelim pictures of the upcoming SW sets, including the RGS. Since then, I've made this site the first forum I've ever regularly been on.

I suppose a hand-held scale would work, but it would have to be pretty advanced. And that device that DP mentioned... I would think that only the secret service would have such sophisticated technology. This is nothing against starstreak at all, but he think it was faked. First of all, I'm pretty sure chrome Vaders don't come in battlepacks, even though Nannan says they can... not in America, at least. Second, it's really easy for someone to reseal a box, or just hide the opened part on video. I don't know why anyone would go through all this trouble just to show off, but there's little possibility that starstreak filmed this particular box by chance (it sounded pretty rehearsed to me). Even if he did have a way of weighing or shaking the box, there's no real guarantee. But there it was anyway, and he definitely knew for sure that it would be in the box. Again, this is nothing against starstreak, I just have a hard time believing this.

Bob, we could at some point use your apartment as a temporary hideout, or just a place to stay whenever our characters are on Coruscant. But for the most part, the Fortitude is the team's main base. As for any rule breaking, you didn't really control any other person yet (regarding rule 8), so it's no problem. Your Mon Calamari character can make an appearance here and there, but he can't be used as a permanent character, controlled by you. Regarding rule 2, it wasn't broken because real SW characters are allowed to make appearances, but like rule 8, they can't tag along permanently. And JD, I liked your post very much. These are the kinds of things that would make this game into a good T.V. show.

Yes, your right, it's not there for some reason... IlikePi, I don't think that the magnet sets availability in the U.S has been mentioned here before. But if I'm wrong, apologies. But it was never available- not even as a promo- before now. The V-19 was a promo before, but now it's being mass-produced.

EB Community Castle Build: Discussion Thread
JimBee replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Apologies for the absence from the CCB lately. I've been busy with other Lego projects and school, but I have started on a servant's quaters for the competition. It's not turning out very well due to me being in the middle of major brick sorting. I'll be messing around with it for a while, until it's just right. Until then, does anyone have any ideas of what I can put in a servant's quarters besides mats (for beds) and a card table? -
Wonderful techniques, here, ISC. I really like the waterfall, mine cart rails, and rock cliff faces. The only thing that I would suggest would be some sort of domestication for the dwarfs, such as a table for eating.

Excellent, I'll be going to Target ASAP to get these. $3.75 is a great price, too, considering the price:parts ratio. I especially like the Greivous Fighter, because of it's sleekness and innovative use of the black slope for the windshield. EDIT: The new Star Wars magnet sets are now available on S@H in America! They are 14.99 USD each. Episode I Magnet Set Episode VI Magnet Set Episode III Magnet Set Clone Wars Magnet Set

Well, how smart would clones be of you? As smart as you, or less? And you have different sides to your personality, so wouldn't all of your clones be different? The way I see it, all clones have some sort of form of Jango's personality still in them. Maybe it was intentional by the Kaminoians, maybe not. Take Clone Wars episode 16 "The Hidden Enemy", for example. One of the clones was going to betray his own "brothers". So no, they are not the same. Exactly. Clones of a single, intelligent person are much more superior to battle droids. The are different, yet somewhat similar, which may help them cooperate with each other.

Mo problem, your post fits in fine. And yes, that was the problem that had to be sorted out. This was entirely my fault, and I apologize. Now get posting!

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
JimBee replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Is Wat Tomber on the planet? I'm not sure, but I think he's just leading the mission by telling the other commanders what to do. He could be anywhere in the Galaxy. Becuase I don't want to wait a week for an episode to appear online. It's not that I'm impatient, it's just that I can't resist visiting this thread, looking for spoilers. I usually watch this person's videos. I liked "Innocents of Ryloth" very much. We saw some great clone and Obi-Wan action, and I was glad to see Cody once more before the season ended. The Ghost Squadron was pretty cool, too. I suppose they must be a stealth-based group. "Cody, take your best men and have them scout out the area ahead" "Yes sir. Waxer, Boil, come with me" "I guess we're the best". I also laughed when the Twi'leks clmbed on the robot general's AAT and just beat him up. I wholeheartedly agree. -
Okay, the problem has been sorted out. Any players who have read the first post, please do so again, carefully. there has been one minor change. I won't tell you since it might contain a plot spoiler. Thanks for your patience. On another note, my camera is being difficult, so I won't be adding pics until it's fixed. Hopefully it'll be fixed within the next week or so.

Ahh, okay, thank you, I wasn't quite sure what you meant at first. I'll change that "Advanced" to "Interceptor" right now.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display

Anyways, I really like that Death Star platform, especially with the monorail. Your son must be really pleased to have such a great OT collection. -
Chapter 2 The two Venators, The Fortitude, and Dannik's ship landed on a platform hovering at skyscraper lever on Coruscant. The Jedi had sent a large air taxi to the platform, and the team, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker were all transported to the Jedi temple to discuss the mission with the Council. Five minutes later, the doors to the Council chambers opened, and master Kenobi took his seat. He hadn't had a chance to talk to Oky-Wan yet, but he made it a point to do so after the meeting. Anakin stood to the side, while Jim took his plaqce in the center of the room. The rest of the team was waiting outside. "So" said master Windu. "We heard about the events on Trexxon, but we lost communication a while after Skywalker and Kenobi arrived. Were you able to save master Luun?" Butcher spoke up, "No, master, I'm afraid not. Count Dooku was too powerful". Anakin made a face of disgust. "Master, I could have beat him, but he--" Skywalker said. "That's enough, Anakin" said Obi-Wan. "Continue, please". Jim nodded. "It looked like Dooku was planning something. Something big. In the Sith temple, I saw him talking to a hooded figure. It was hard to tell because of the bad hologram reception, but I couldn't see his face. I did manage to steal this, though." He took out the Sith holocron and held up for the council to see. It didn't take a Jedi to sense the wave of curiosity crash around the room. Windu raised his eyebrows. "A Sith holocron!? This is what Dooku was looking for? But why?" "Disturbing, this is." said master Yoda. This was the first time he had spoken. "Sense a plot to find a more, powerful weapon, I do." "Well, we can't afford to let Dooku have it, then" said Jedi Knight Ki-Adi Mundi. "What he is looking for can't be pleasant. Whatever information that holocron holds, we need to keep away from Dooku. "We should keep it here on Coruscant, where it's safe" said Master Shaak Ti. "Yes, Dooku will definitely be after it." said Mace. "He will stop at nothing to get it back. Coruscant is in potential danger as we speak". "My team and I can draw him away from here, in our ship" said Jim. All eyes turned to him. "If Dooku thinks that we have the holocron, he'll follow us, and steal it as soon as he thinks the time is right. He can't blow us up if he wants that holocron, so we're relatively safe." The Council sat in silence, thinking. "Very dangerous for you, it is" said Yoda. "Better us than the whole planet or galaxy" replied Butcher. "Hmmm.... discuss this as a Council, we must. Come back later, and your answer, you will have. Hm." "Yes, master". *** Meanwhile, Dooku's Solar Sailer broke into Coruscant's atmosphere. The pilot droid landed in an abandoned industrial section of the planet, not different from where the team's adventure began. A hangar door opened on one of the buildings, and let the Sailer land inside. Once the door was closed, Dooku stepped out of his ship to meet with his master. Sure enough, a hooded figure stepped from the shadows. "Were you seen?" he asked in a croaky voice. "No, my master" the Count replied, bowing. "Did you get it back?" "I'm afraid not, master. We outnumbered, and Skywalker had came to--" "Silence!" the Sith lord was furious. "Get that holocron back, Dooku. One way or another, I want it. Get it back, or their will be consequences." "Yes, master" said Dooku, bowing even lower. He was going to get that holocron, even if it meant mass destruction for the galaxy.

Ah, thanks for the sketch. I get it now. One thing that I may try to do with this idea of yours is to have the hinge pieces attached to the plate (bottom or top, it doesn't matter), and have the connecting hinge piece in the middle of the slope pieces. That way, the cargo is protected, and the ship captures that hover-like vibe by having "fins". Here is a quick sketch: The grey represents the plate, which the black hinges are attached to. The connecting hinges (not shown) are on the green slopes, in the middle.

Thanks, ISC and Oky Wan. Oky Wan, I did add some detailing to the roof, but it took away from the sleek look of the ship, so I removed them. Thanks for the suggestion, though. ISC, do you mean angled by using hinge bricks? And by putting the bricks on the bottom, that will leave the cargo space wide open. But, I will certainly take this suggestion into mind. Thanks.

While all of what you say is true, Tanotrooper, I don't like to think of it that way. In Episode II: AotC, all of the colors were used to determine rank. White, Private Green, Sergent Blue, Lieutenant Red, Captain Yellow, Commander Now, during the Clone Wars (the T.V. show, for example), I think the army was somewhere in between the process of changing from Phase I to Phase II. In the Clone Wars, you see the old ranks (Cody having yellow armor, some white troops), but you also see lots of different-colored armor indicating specialization among the troops. For example, in Clone Wars episodes "Blue Shadow Virus" and "Mystery of A Thousand Moons", the orange armor indicated that those clones were experts of bombs. During the Empire, I'm sure that Stormtroopers had ranks, too, it just wasn't shown by painting their armor. You also see specialized troops in the Original Trilogy films, like Snowtroopers, Scout troopers, and Death Star gunners. In terms of Lego, though, I think that the different colorings on clones don't make much of a difference when building an army- since there are different armor colors in the official media, then that should just make your army more realistic. If you're complaining about Phase I and II clone troopers, though, that's another issue. However, TLG is just being accurate in going from Phase I (during ATOC's release) to Phase II (During ROTS's release), and back to Phase I (for CW).

Wow, I didn't see that one coming. I thought the last rat was Alicia. I have to say that you, JlBlue did a great job at this. This is the first Mafia Game I've followed so far, so hopefully I have enough experience to be in the next one: Noir Mafia. And thanks to Hinckley for hosting the game. I had a great time trying to figure out clues (without PMs), which were really hard. I had no idea that the pictures alone could have a huge impact on the story. Quarryman's death reminded me of Total Recall...

Alright, alright, I think he gets it. Now back on topic, please.

These sound/look... interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if they flopped, but I see some useful parts in that Egyptian one, such as the 2x2 jumper piece mentioned before. Thankfully, they'll all be 20 USD or under. These look great. I wonder if the head or torso are the same size as regular minifigs. In any case, really hope TLG will use these as baby minifigs, if the set ever calls for one.

What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?
JimBee replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
While it would be nice to see all of those Mando's, I think a more subtle Bounty Hunter BP would include Bounty Hunters from the movies, such as Dengar, Boba Fett, and IG-88 (as well as others). There could also be a PT Bounty Hunter BP, with hunters such as Jango Fett, Aurra Sing, Durge, and more. I would like any Jedi Council set. A Jedi Council room with all 12 members (from Episode I or II. III would give us yet another Obi and Anakin) is a great way to do this. Even an Order 66 set with 501st troopers would be nice. And don't you mean Plo Koon, bot Klo Poon? -
Cool idea and MOC. I think that the wheels are a nice change-up from hovercraft. The passenger area looks a little empt, though, do you have any neutral-colored seat pieces that could fill it up a little?
