  1. Okay, okay, we're going east. EAST, not west, and I don't think we want to hike 550 miles to the next town (we need the Emerald Express). How about this: some of us will go on the handcar, and the rest of us will go back and explore the northeast. Besides, I don't think all of us could fit on the handcar. Either way, I volunteer to go on the handcar. But I already lost mine...
  2. I don't have a problem with going southeast, but can we please just pick a direction quickly? And I want some chocolate-covered nuts too!
  3. About what? Being childish? Definitely not. Right, if a member is really acting up, the staff will take care of him/ her, and likewise, you will be rewarded if you behave well. Yeah, those rewards should be incentive enough to be a good member. But it's true- while we have lots of great and wonderful members here, there's always those who have to ruin it, and it's more than just a few.The staff has had to make several changes to the boards to eliminate spammers and immaturity, such as the Buy, Sell, Trades, Finds forum (although, the limitation has been lowered), the PM system, polls, and a couple others. My point is, there has to be limitations because of those people, and without them, the forums would be extremely difficult to handle, even for our vigilant staff.
  4. It's a good and well thought-out idea, posades, but I have to disagree with it. Even though this is an adult forum, there are still childish people here (adults or otherwise), and those people could take advantage of this function. These people sometimes bend the "rules", or rather lack the proper manners or maturity, and disrespect the members who actually have something to add to this forum. Then the childish members would take points off of other members' "score", and people who followed this function wouldn't read any of his/ her posts. While this may seem very complicated and unlikely, I would put it past some of the people here to disrespect others' opinions in this way. Other problems could arise, too. People with a good posting rep might be "popular", but others, who may sometimes have great stuff to add, might be ignored because of a low rep. Then again, I'm sure that some of these issues could be avoided, perhaps with a limitation to members with a higher post count, such as citizens and higher.
  5. That's just it- he's acting like he's suspicious, but why is he making it so obvious? Last time I checked, manipulation and name-calling was what evil-doers do, but not giving themselves away. It's almost like he's trying to throw suspicion on himself as well as on the town council.
  6. But I'm willing to bet that only the most die-hard AFOLs would consider getting this set if you are right. A probable high price, no figs, no interior, and no *wow* factor (that we we see or is probable). Then again, the movie version was more than three times the size of the Falcon. And I politely disagree about your minifig-space count. I estimate 2 in the cockpit, and two or three in the mid-section. The rest of the space will be taken up by the escape pod (which counts as space for the middle), and other add-ons, like the crap-flyer we saw in the RC. I don't think any figures will fit in the back because of the engines. Well, that's my point. If it is midi-scale, than that means no figs. Svelte has a very good point saying that if the figures weren't on the preview, they probably won't be in the set. If the box art is finalized, then it's not likely to change. It doesn't look like we'll get figs in this one.
  7. For the sake of having an opinion from a regular reader on this forum, I'll say that my eye tends to skip over pinned topics. I rarely even notice topics such as news topics and indexes, and only recurring topics such as the SW 2009 discussion thread catch my eye. And the staff gets PAID??!?!?!?!
  8. I agree with Oky Wan. I'm pretty sure that the cockpit is made up of trans-clear (or trans-black) half-cones with printed details. Or a special piece that is originally red/ white with a a little trans-clear/ trans-black window made into the base of both front half-cones. The designers would have black hearts if they want us to sticker giant half-cones. No figs, no interior, no sales. For our and TLG's sake, I hope you're wrong.
  9. Very impressive, MrTools. Simple, effective, and great for any SW MOC. I would love to see this used in one.
  10. Nope. If you're talking about the minifigures, part of Darth Vader in the video is hidden by the box next to it. They are exactly the same. Agreed. I was even thinking about modding my RC to a RBR (before these pics emerged) because the real (movie) designs are very similar. Not very mind-blowing at all, and the only way TLG is going to get me to buy this set is with exclusive figs.
  11. I think this might be switch seven. I'd like to manually pull the switch over too the other position, and if nothing happens, I'd like to switch it back. How's about we go northwest first again?
  12. I'd like to play too, please.
  13. It's stuck in my head too! I watched those videos in your review over and over again just hear that catchy tune. Can I get it on my i-Pod?
  14. You sure? Too many hours at the computer, I guess. I see it now- it's behind the front of the speeder. Welcome back, Kim. The forum almost fell apart without you.
  15. I fully agree with you, Undead Army Officer. At first, the one on the right looked like a tank, but it's clearly a white version of the speeder bike we see in the 2008 RGS and Endor Bunker. In background of the right battle pack looks like a snow mound, similar to the one in the Hoth Battle set from this year. The left has a rebel pilot with a tank or hover vehicle behind him, and three Hoth rebels in the background. Probably because we got four TPM sets in 2007 when the film was supposed to be remade into 3-D, but never happened. Also, there are too many sets this year for the designers to take more time for more sets. EDIT: I see the Wampa now:
  16. Uh-oh. This is dangerous. I know it's not likely for a train to come through this town, but one could come into the tunnel and kill us all... we should get to the other end as soon as possible.
  17. Okay, let's go inside. I'll take the rear, if that's okay with all of you.
  18. Good point. I'd like to check behind the cart to see if the tracks continue on but are buried. I'd like to dig a little bit with my hands, and stomp around to feel if any tracks are beneath the dirt. Does the path continue after the clearing?
  19. Woowee, what a review. Thank you so much for making it, Schmelt, I can only imagine how tiring building this monster and reviewing it as you went along must have been. Very hilarious, too. As for the set, I think it is wonderful in design and functionality, but as much as I like it, the price is too much for me. The colors and rare parts may as well be worth it, though. I know exactly what you mean! People think I'm nuts when I start sniffing the inside of the box or stroking the brand new pieces. Is that you in the bottom right of this pic?: Actually, I think they were in sets way before the Turbo car chase. I have a few from one of those System-mini-Bionicle sets. Sushi on my Lego! How great would that be? I wonder what those cherries are for, right below the horse's groin? Overall, I rate above average. That song is just irresistible. Dah Da Dah! DidleDideeoo! Dah Da Dah! DidleDideeoo! Dah Da Dah Didledideeumdeedleidleidleoo!
  20. Quick to leave again, are we? Where would you go? Would you set another trap? Heh, well that was kind of late. If everyone is done here, I say we ignore the note and head to the southwest tracks. What do you say?
  21. Nice MOC, muffin manifestation. I like the feeling of the rural area here, thanks to the dirt path and well done crops. I especially like how the officers are using the cart as a ramp and the blood technique you used. I think you really suceeded in bringing this MOC to life.
  22. It looks like a bottle. I agree, Jethro is best suited for this. In the meantime, I'd like to keep an eye out for murderous werewolves or hermits. You never know...
  23. Happy Birthday, 5150 Lego. I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad day at work, but there's always the weekend to look forward to. Have a good one.
  24. I never really liked the Justice League at all, but I'll see how this turns out. It might be interesting, but I think this is kind of pushing it as far as comic movies go. Wonder Woman is well known, but I don't see how they could make a full movie out of her. Then again, I don't read comics, so there's probably some huge back story to her. Meh, Green Lantern is pretty cool, but again, I'm not sure about a movie. It looks like they're doing something like X-Men origins with Avengers. I just can't get that image of tights and underwear out of my head. The silly outfits are what ruins these kinds of movies for me, like in Superman Returns... Yuck. I hated Magneto in the first three, and I'll hate him in this. One of the main reasons why I liked Wolverine so much was because Magnet-head wasn't in it. Now this sounds good. Thanks to Wikipedia, I now know who that is. It should be interesting to see since he wasn't in any of the trilogy. Ironman 2? The first was spectacular, so I can't wait to see this. I'm sure we all already saw Avengers coming. I wonder what that first one is... Wolverine 2, though? Shouldn't they be focusing on making individual characters first before they make sequels? I'm sorry, but this made me laugh. I see your point though, and I agree that you, DarthSion, need to cool it. You always seem to be disagreeing with people. While this is normally perfectly fine, you do it in an aggressive manner that generally pisses people off. I'm no mod, but maybe you need to act more friendly around here before one comes and kicks you off for good. I like him as an actor too, but have you seen this? (Warning: Explicit)
