  1. Actually, I would like to look at both the ceiling and the floor for anything interesting. Sometimes, I find that if I just sit down, I can think better (I would like to sit down in both of the chairs, one at a time). After that, I'd like to take a look at the top of the shredding machine (without touching it) for any un-shredded papers. Who wants to check out those files?
  2. Don't worry, if you really want to join a game, check out the Wargames and Mafia Games forum. There's some great stuff there. Keep a lookout for JD's series if you're still interested, I'm sure he wants lots of viewers.
  3. Hello everyone, I just made a MOC I wanted to share here. It is of the truck that appeared in the river chase scene of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but never actually appeared in the River Chase set. Sorry, I can't find any reference pictures, but if you'll remember, this is the vehicle that Irina Spalko was on for most of the scene, and was sword fighting while riding this, while Mutt Williams was riding the "duck" vehicle. Without further ado, here it is: And one without the minifigs: Thanks for looking. Comments are always welcome.
  4. Ah, thanks, Stauder, I wasn't around here that long, so I never would have known.
  5. I remember something about Kermit the frog form when I first joined. It might just be my imagination, but I could swear remembering something like this.
  6. No idea. I just have a hard time believing that TLG would produce quality chrome parts like that. Thanks for the news and pic, NTF. I'm not all to excited for the figure or book. I suppose the Yavin IV Luke is good, but I'm not about to buy a book online for it, especially since I probably already know everything in that book. Hopefully we'll see the minifig in a future set. It's not exactly flesh colored, but I see your point. It ought to be useful for some figures, though, right?
  7. Me too! (I hope this works... ).
  8. Exactly. They may be "free" from Lego, but they are very limited, and are probably better in quality than the Stormie. Since the chrome stormtrooper is selling everywhere in Lego stores for only 12 USD, I don't expect it to be as good as the others in quality. It's nothing bad or serious, and it's quite a nice thing from TLG. Does this lower my nerd level?
  9. Amazing! Fantastic! Wonderful! I love it, and I must have just missed it when I went to the Lego store in Shaumberg (near Chicago) on Sunday. I just hope it is the same quality as C-23PO and Vader. True, and this theory is backed up by the fact that it's only (compared to the other chromes) 12 USD. That other magnet set isn't that great of value, IMO. The Snowtroopers and Shadowtroopers are now common thanks to the Hoth set and battlepacks, and I never really liked the battle-damaged Vader much. Not one of the best, that's for sure.
  10. Well, I can safely say that Eurobricks is one of the biggest Lego fan sites ever- adults or otherwise. The site gets mentioned everywhere there's news- TBB blog, Brickset, etc. We also have a great community here, which attracts many people, as opposed to sites with stricter rules. Additionally, we have a huge amount of reviews here, mainly thanks to the Reviewer's Academy, more than any other site I've visited. Not only do we have a lot of reviews, we have a lot of quality reviews, not just some pictures thrown together with pros/ cons. Great MOCs are also present here. Of course, the big reason Eurobricks is so popular is because of the news brought by various members. Whether or not other sites argue against "leaked" news is beyond my caring, because the staff will always remove news and images that TLG asks them to do. Yep, I'd say EB is a great place to be, my favorite Lego site by far. As for your questions on Eurobricks being a "meta" site, I don't think it makes a difference. New members will join every day because of the site's great qualities, and the staff will handle anything.
  11. Be sure to not miss anything. Sorry, Sandy, I (and I think/ hope all of us) did not mean to make you feel this way. We're all just immature, and I certainly don't dislike you. I hope you'll have a more decent time from now on. Seriously. I tend to just skip over the "R" words in Scruffy's comments.
  12. Hmm, it has to be a clue. Once this intermission is over, I'd like to take another look at that pen. I'd like to click it open (or uncap it), and try the tip as a key into the left door of the town hall. If that doesn't work, I'd like to search the pen for any numbers. *Smacks head* You're brilliant, Eleanor! It's definitely worth checking out, so we'll have to walk there.
  13. In that case, let's go to the hotel once more. Enough waiting and discussion already. Can anyone (who wasn't in our group) think of anything that we may have missed in the Mayor's office? Perhaps you would like to check the ceiling, Brakes?
  14. Thanks for all of the feedback. I'll make adjustments accordingly. Natman, thanks for your imput, but trust me on this one; it took a lot more than just the Flying Wing. I took pieces from all (yes, all) of my Indy sets, and some from my spare parts. While it does take a lot of the pieces from the flying wing, that is kind of the point. I wanted to turn the Flying wWing into an X-Wing.
  15. Of interest, two "X" notes, the first found in Constable's hotel room's nightstand reading this: The Town Council suspects that I am attempting to leave Willoughby. They are trying to kill me and will stop at nothing! If you find this note, know that I have left clues for you to follow my trail. Must go now! Good Luck. X. And the second found in the jail, behind a rock marked with an X. It reads: If this letter shall find you, I have been locked up in jail where I now plan my final escape from this wretched place. I believe that I have successfully devised a plan to leave Willoughby. I have hidden clues in each of the four corners of the town, for you to follow. The difficulty will be for you to piece them together while some will attempt to stop you. Also realize that there may be one among you who has helped them bring you to this horrible place. I wish you luck in getting out alive. -JC Also a safe behind a picture in the town hall that the Mayor supposedly didn't know about. A locked door in the town hall, a gun safe without a key, and a room under renovation. Oh, and the invoice for the oil tanker.
  16. Only if they work as Johnson rods. Anyways, I really don't think we're going to find out a combination by just guessing building block numbers. Let's see, we explored pretty much everything in our group, but maybe we should search the hotel rooms once more. I'd also like to see that switch tower myself, maybe something will present itself. If all else fails, I want to head down the sewer and feel/ look around the walls. That's all I got. I hope this works...
  17. What makes you say that? There are plenty of possibilities- just see the idea thread. Indy has only been around for two years, and it's comparable to Star Wars in terms of success. I think it still has at least 5 years left. I also agree that Ferrari/ Lamborghini are both going to end soon, though. I don't even see these in my stores, so I don't think they sell all that well. Spongebob is on its last leg, too.
  18. I'll probablt move the rear engines to the front like that picture ( ) has them. I guess not. Then again, I don't expect to win anyways. Hopefully I can make these improvements before the contest is over.
  19. Okie doke. Well, this is a whole different sort of thing, forum-wise. Let's keep it here, if that's okay with you, Kim. Don't get your hopes up. It's not that important compared to news, indexes, etc. here.
  20. Okay, I'm in. But like I said before, I still think we should solve the switches. Let's go to that X area first.
  21. Alright, alright, no need to be so harsh. I made it an X-Wing because I thought that the body shape would fit nicely, but I guess not. I was also considering it to be an ARC, but those need S-foils too. However, it would be easier to add two sepereate S-foil wings to each side than to add one to each side, because the giant wing piece is straight. I'll probably add S-foils. Yes, but I don't have more than six clip things (that I'll bother to find).
  22. Thanks for the final Indy set review, WhiteFang. I am really ocnsidering getting this because of your review. While the minifig selection is very poor, the great designs and play factors in both planes makes it all worth it. This set is a little expensive, but I'm glad that it is not overly so. I especially like the little storage area that I did not previously know about. I'll give this set and average because of the price and poor minifig selection.
  23. Thanks for the interview, EB News, and Houndblower for doing it. I always read these things, so thought it was high time I actually commented. So... good job. I love that drawing, Houndblower. I look forward to more.
  24. So, Indiana Jones has been an unbelievably sucessful Lego line for the past two years. With the release of the new movie, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Indy merchandise has been selling like hotcakes. But, in Legoland, Indy and friends want more. The Star Wars line has been around for 10 years now- is it coming to an end? This presented the perfect opportunity for the Indy line to take over the Star Wars line and become the most popular Lego theme ever! However, the Star Wars characters weren't going to go down without a fight. The two themes fought and fought, and every time Indy and the gang lost... until now. Indiana Jones himself came up with an idea. He thought that if he couldn't beat the SW line, he should join it. So, just like a clone brand building block, Indy copied SW and created a new interpretation of the X-Wing, the Flying Alligator. Prepare to find this set in your Lego Star Wars section at your local store instead of the original Lego Star wars X-Wing fighters. Overview/ Front Indy and friends designed this imitation X-Wing to look like it came straight from the jungles of Peru. Bird's-Eye View Left View Sorry about all of the paper in this one, the ship barely fits in my studio. Right View Rear View Teeth Wondering why it's called an alligator? Here you go. The wings don't open like an X-Wing, but hte does, like a mouth. Look at those choppers! Cast The crew of the Flying Alligator. From left to right, Short Round as R2-D2 (or Yoda, if you like), Indiana Jones as Han Solo (they seem similar. I wonder if they're actually the same person as a double agent?! ), and Henry Jones Sr. as Ben Kenobi. Yes, I am aware that Short Round and Henry Jones Sr. don't coexist with each other in the movies. That's called Expanded Universe. I apologize for the bad pictures, as I am using a substitute camera while my old is being fixed. Please also have a look at my Flickr set, for more pictures. Thank you.
  25. Hmm, interesting. Have you been thinking of this, or did you just throw that out there? Ack! Well, hold on, Jethro, just because you're a council member (thanks for finally admitting it) doesn't mean you're trying to kill anybody. Or does it? You don't need a gun to kill someone.
