  1. Interesting choice for a scene. I like what you did with the flex tubing. However, I'm not digging the color scheme. I don't remember red and black walls in the movie. I suggest greebled dark bley walls.
  2. Hmm, that's too bad it ends so soon. I may be able to fit in an entry before I leave for two weeks, but if not, I'll have a good time looking over all of the epic entries. There are some really great ones so far, so it will be hard to compete. Amazing prizes, as well. Wow. I don't remember the last time EB has had a prize worth so much.
  3. I know exactly how you feel. After RSE, the starters and basic Pokemon are just... lame. In fact, the only 4th gen Pokemon I actually liked were the Shinx evolutions and the Legendaries. And in BW, the Legendaries seem really neat, but the others... not so much. Too much cute, not enough cool like in the 1st and 2nd gens. On another note, I'm sure all you Pokefans have seen the gameplay videos for B&W, and I just have to say that I don't actually like the movement of the Pokemon in battle. They sort of just move back and forth, reminding me of Street Fighter games, when the fighters bounced back and forth on their heels. I'd much rather have them just be still, or at least have the movements less dramatic.
  4. Finally, the suspense was killing me. It's been much too quiet around this forum lately, and this is just the kick start it needs. Of course I would like to play. And even if I don't get in, I will watch contently. 1) What is your experience with mafia games, here and elsewhere? I've played a total of four mafia games (Noir, MCII, Infection, Prohibition), have won one game (MCII), and have co-hosted one game (Dystopia). 2) What is your relationship with the Harry Potter -franchise? I have read the first five books three times each, the sixth twice, and the seventh once. I absolutely loved the books, but I hated the movies. I own the first three on VHS, which are all decent, but beyond that I thought the film interpretations were horrible. It's been a while since I read the books (maybe two or three years), but I remember many things. I'm not the biggest Harry Potter geek, but I can tell you your expelliarmuses from your accios. Really looking forward to this.
  5. Interesting game, davee123. I like how everything is balanced out so that one player can't have more skilled characters than another. Is it multiplayer? Too bad you can't host this. I'd like to see someone put this to action.
  6. KimT was making an expansive SW minifigure index a while back... I don't know how complete it is, however. You can check out the indexes here.
  7. Congrats to the winners! Very generous of you, Fugazi (and of course, WhiteFang). This certainly was a fun contest, I hope we are fortunate enough to have another for Series 2.
  8. Nice one, and I agree with KimT - fantastic use of 16 square studs. The initial photo makes the vig look much larger than it actually is, with the help of the wall with the little "lights" in the background. Only complaint is, that you should definitely consider changing the Luke fig. I know that you wanted to be truer to the movie, but I think blond hair (or maybe dark tan) of that same hairpiece and a different torso/ leg choice would be better.
  9. 1. Yes, I would. They offer rare parts (sometimes in unique colors) that would be way more expensive to buy elsewhere. 2. Individual. I'd be broke if I bought the whole line. 3. The Guggenheim Museum in Spain. It's a great work of architecture that I would love to see in Lego form. A difficult task with square bricks, but I'd like to see it pulled off. 4. Nothing in particular, but I would like to see the more sets like the Medieval Market Village. Seeing Castle-themed sets not based around knights and combat is always a nice change. In addition, I would just like to see more of TLG teaming up with AFOL MOC experts like they did when designing the MMV. I could really see the difference in detail and building expertise with MMV compared to other 'ultimate sets', such as the Imperial Flagship.
  10. Woah, this is really nice, ISC. I really like those GG pieces (in sand green) make a shambled kind of texture on the house. And all those cows... Looking forward to seeing your full BW10 display.
  11. That's actually pretty cool. Better than the one on the far left (which looks almost sickly...). I wouldn't mind it if this color replaced Light Pearl Gray.
  12. 1 Point - 1) Caveman Entry (Build by legitimatealex) 1 Point - 6) Zombie Entry (Build by Darkblane) 1 Point - 9) Forestman Entry (Build by Sandy) Well done, you three! In addition, a few honrable mentions from me: 41) Wrestler Entry (Build by 74louloute) - Love the colors and the wrestler 25) Skater Boy Entry (Build by PhantomX) - Very nice use of an 8x8. The stairs are great. Good luck.
  13. I like the steampunk/apocalyptic -ish mix with these figures. A very interesting combination of history and fantasy. I especially like the German robot controller - great hat design.
  14. At first this line was really intriguing, but now I have lost interest... the ridiculous prices (I'm guessing 100 USD for this one, with common parts, too) are what scared me off from the first wave the most. And I agree with the comments about architecture in other countries, and more interesting buildings/ sculptures rather than landmarks. This one doesn't exactly scream the White House to me, either... Hoping this line improves...
  15. Well, world time does not revolve around Canada. If you read the rules, the contest ended: GMT+8. That's about 14-16 hours ahead of North American time, depending on where you live.
  16. I haven't played a LEGO game in years (LSW II was the last one, I think), but I have to say, they've improved tremendously since LSW I. The game worlds in LHP seem much more expansive and interactive than previous Lego games, with more emphasis on Lego-built environments than the background ones (although both look really nice). I also like how the progress in the game is more exciting than it used to be - I remember LSW being very linear in some parts (defeat the droids, block shots, attack, rinse, repeat). I'm pretty excited for this game, now.
  17. Nicely done on tis one, AC. May I ask what you used to make the roof arches? They look like specialized bases of some sort.
  18. This is a very nice shot, but I'm curious - did you somehow use special lighting to make his eyes glow, or use Photoshop?
  19. I don't think it's that uncommon. I remember whichever mafia game that was playing during MOTEE cane and went before the mystery was over.
  20. Happy belated birthday, Simon!
  21. Interesting contest, and many great entries. Here are my top picks: 2. Tanotrooper (1 point) 14. Capt. Stabbin (1 point) 17. Lego Warlord 8 (1 point) A very close runner up would've been Etzel's entry, for the fantastic roof design. Good luck, everyone.
  22. I agree, there's also several topics about Mario and/or video games in general here already... and there's plenty of good gaming sites out there, too. But on topic, I did not think that tutorial was easy! Catching those damn rabbits was hard enough in SM64, and the motion controls took some time to get used to.
  23. I checked, and that's right. One or two came close at 23. That's surprising to me, it always feels like there's more people in these games. Looking forward to this.
  24. It may be a little late, but now that the discussion has died down, I just wanted to say my last words for this game. Thank you all so much for playing and supporting us, we couldn't have done it without you. The game, for the most part, turned out better than I could've ever hoped for. Again, I am sorry we couldn't give you a proper ending, but I hope that that's not the way you all remember Dystopia. Also, I'd like to thank Ricecracker, who has been my close friend and partner for the duration of the planning and running of the game. I joined up with him on an impulse, and I've never regretted it since. We made a great team, and I hope we'll remain in contact even after this. Thanks, friend.
  25. Happy birthday, Siegfried!
