Over time, I've noticed that my posts have somehow become longer (to scroll through) than normal. I just realized that I've been actually using two spaces instead of one when I hit "enter" in my posts. To avoid wasted and unnecessary space to scroll through, I edit my posts and backspace one space. It looks fine in the post box, but when I finish editing, the space no longer exists between two paragraphs. So I have to go back and edit for a second time, which finally does the trick and has only one space between lines. I know it's a small thing compared to everything else going on with the new board, but I'm wondering if there's anything that can be done about it so I don't have to edit twice every time I post, or if there's something I'm doing that's causing it. Any help would be appreciated. Also, another interesting little thing I found was that in my posts, when I use the number one more than once, the first one I use has a different font than the following ones. It's only in my post box, and it's normal once I post, but I thought it was an interesting little factoid.

I figured I should update my passport: Countries: USA Canada Germany Austria Italy Slovenia States/ Provinces (not counting connecting flights): Wisconsin Illinois Michigan (both sides) Indiana Ohio Pennsylvania New York New Hampshire Massachusetts Maine Florida Texas New Mexico Arizona Utah Colorado Nevada California Oregon Nebraska Kansas Iowa (22/ 50) Ontario Quebec New Brunswick I've enjoyed everywhere I've been, but nothing beats home (maybe bar Italy).

Happy birthday to Dragonator, Alice, and Lordofdragonss, as well as Evil Willy and Captain'Spaulding (and the less active members celebrating today). Hope all of you have great birthday experiences, spent with friends and family. It's a coincidence that we have two dragon fans celebrating today, not to mention that Dragonator is now "legal". Congrats! (That's a cake).

Miss Jadis, I am curious why you would be so keen on voting. Like Brigelda said, convicting on a mere guess on the first day, with a very small idea of what we're up against, is most likely to end up condemning an innocent soul. Yes, we usually won't be sure of who's innocent and who's not, but at least by tomorrow, I have a feeling, we will have more than just guesses to go on. Things will happen in the night, and behaviors will start to show. But for now, we can only wait and do our best not to give the Hallows a head start on taking us all.

Looks/ sounds like everyone had a blast! Fantastic MOCs on display, and a group picture of the sig--figs! (Thanks Stash). I don't know at all if I can make it down next year (I've been wanting to for years), but I will definitely try.

Ahem. After doing a thorough search of the grounds since the disappearance of the head of Slytherin and the unfortunate deaths of our three students, I, Oraman Furbad, am ready to help protect this school and it's residents at all costs. Very unfortunate, to lose students like that... and the so-called "capture" of a teacher? Nothing of the sort has happened in my days at Hogwarts. However, I think we need to look a little deeper into the situation - Hogwarts has been a spellbound fortress, and naturally, a break-in would be unlikely without help. Of course, as the wise Headmistress McGonagall stated, the culprits are indeed among us. But the question must be asked - why was Lastrada spared? He is a respected colleague of mine, but was he somehow being manipulated? I don't believe he helped the culprits, but then again, we do have traitors among us. I'll have to think about this some more before reaching a conclusion. I am not ready to ship someone off to Azkaban on mere guesses quite yet. Oh, and I'd better not be catching anyone out of their dorms, causing trouble at night. I'm no Filch, but as caretaker, I am quite able of punishment if necessary.

Yes, and I have to express my deepest apologies for not mentioning it before. This game completely slipped my mind before I left. I'll spend some quality time catching up on the conversations, rules, etc. Thanks so much for your graciousness.

Agreed! It feels like such a long time ago since I joined, but it's only been about 2.5 years. Not that EB itself has changed much before last week, but it's been quite the experience. Oh was I getting sentimental? Congrats, Eurobricks! I enjoyed the slide show, especially the map that visually showed where all of the staff members were located. And, I know we all contributed to the 10K, but I'm curious to know who the last one was.

Have I signed up for this yet? No? Well better get to it. If you'll be so kind, I'd like my sig-fig to be there. Of course, I can decide which to use. Currently, I'm fond of my original one, so let's go with that: Thanks!

Just wanted to say that since I've had and experienced my first PM "conversation" as they're now called, I have to say that the PM system is excellent, much improved over the old version. I can compose PMs like posts now (emoticons easier to access, etc.), and even view the whole conversation with ease. The quotes are even color coded. I'm very impressed with this.

I like the MOC itself (fantastic droid and lightning effects), but I think it would be better if it was more accurate to the scene. Specifically, less Hoth-y and more dark and gloomy, with dark bley and black replacing white. Also, I know you like the lightning effects on the green, but if you have any trans blue and/or purple pieces, I think they would add to the accuracy. Excellent work for what you did, though.

Much better, thanks Kim. I noticed it right away, and it has all of the important topics.

Interesting. I wonder if it'll be an exact replica, or if it will have many add-ons, like Super Mario 64 DS had. Yes, they'll have to fix that. I really hope there's an option to change which sword hand you use, but if not... Was there an option like this in the Wii version of TP (I only have the GCN version)? You just answered your own question. While it may not have celda-shading, it definitely takes some of the cheery atmosphere that WW had.

Happy Birthday, you three! Have an amazing day, with many rattling boxes.

Did something change since the upgrade? The board seems different. I'm not sure, but I think the dark blue highlights were added to the skin, and the signature barriers were added (both good points, IMO). Excellent work, keep it up guys.

Thanks for all of these custom Lego parts reviews, Kim. I've been meaning to buy some BA weapons for quite some time now, but I never seem to have the time, interest, or money. They sure look amazing, but I'm not sure if I really need them. Anyway, great review on these. I like how you included movie clips (Goldfinger...) to show what these weapons are like. My personal favorite out of these reviewed here is probably the medieval sword (very gallant), but I also like the revolvers and that SW-ish rifle (under the "best shootout ever" video). There are so many BA products now. I'll have to take another look at their store.

I agree with having at least the Review Index still pinned. While the new sets discussion thread is posted in every few minutes, the review topic is usually left alone. Yet, I do use it often. Never mind. It's great that you have that huge Forum Index, though. Really helps in finding important stuff.

General Discussion and Announcements
JimBee replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Interesting... so does this replace individual game discussion topics altogether? If so, why? I thought individual confirmation/ discussion topics worked well. -
At E3 today, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was officially announced and the demo was released. You can view the IGN article here and watch the videos here. I'm pretty excited for this (of course, a new Zelda game always is exciting), but I hope Miyamoto sticks to his word about the game being a huge turning point in the history of the series - and so far I haven't seen anything entirely revolutionary. We've seen the semi - 1:1 (Wii has some difficulty with that) gameplay before, even in TP. I just hope this game turns out to be something great. Also, a note on the graphics. The art style looks like a combination of Super Mario Galaxy, updated Ocarina of Time graphics, and Wind Waker. I definitely prefer the realistic TP or the completely goofy WW style over something in between, but this is how I imagined an upgraded OoT would look.

No, and it's not now, for me. It seems to be much better now, I have all mine now, but I just grabbed a URL out of a "broken image" picture from Cutlass Iz's profile: On another note, I really like how when you click "View Complete Topic (Launches New Window)" at the bottom of your posting screen, it doesn't actually open a whole new window, but a new tab. Now it's much easier to go view the topic while I'm posting.

Sorry for a quick second post, but I've also noticed a few more things (that are a bother): - The sig barrier line color doesn't change with the forum. So with some forums, you can't see where a post ends (like Mr. Mandalorian said). - There is no barrier between pinned and non-pinned topics. - Everything is unread. Now where did I leave off on that 400 page topic? Hopefully these are helpful rather than just nitpicking.
-
Woah. Well, I haven't had any problems yet, but this will take a while to get used to. I wonder how everything will look now, and if there is any confusion form older posts because of the change. Can't say I like how the emoticons are arranged, though. Is it possible to keep the Pirate smileys out of the other forums like before? Oh, an I am noticing that a lot of the images are not working (like BigCam), and most of my PMs in my inbox have been deleted somehow.

Neat! I really like how you've used those seemingly useless plane pieces in such a way that they seem to be made for your purpose. Excellent work.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
JimBee replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That's great, thanks a lot for the news. Did you happen to see if buying an entire box was marked up 50%, as well?
