Hope I'm not too late! Of course I'd like to play. I'd be insane to miss it. I'd be insane not to, as well. 1. A spaceship 2. Football field bleachers 3. An apparatus placed on the head. Like a lie detector or something that electrocutes the brain. 4. The face of a duck 5. Donnie Darko

Did we check the judge's/ Congessman's quarters yet? If not I'd like to enter and have the room described to me.

Definitely the change from wooden toys to building blocks. Okay, more on the Lego we love today, the biggest change for me was the introduction of licensed themes. So many more possibilities were made possible, my favorites being HP, IJ, and SW. Actually chrome Lego still exists, and wasn't replaced by metallic/ pearl. It's just the lightsaber hilts that were changed from chrome to light bley in 2007, and later metallic silver in 2009. Although chrome is rarer nowadays, with promos like Chrome Vader and the like.

Yes, you did, sorry.

I'd like to ask the Congressman what he was burning and why he was doing so. I'd like to ask the Congressman what he was burning and why he was doing so.

What's the best Minifigure ever made?
JimBee replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have to agree with everyone who said the original (leather jacket) Indy. Great color scheme, perfectly fitted to the on-screen version. The little details like stubble and the metallic printed zipper really bring out character. I also like his accessories, especially the murse. Another great one is the S2 mime. With his three faces, there's so much charm and character. I love the beret and printed arms. -
I'd like to inspect the burnt piece of paper without making it crumble if severely burnt. Is it the brief for the containment of Alabatha? I don't remember any woman like that, Dolores.

The structure is neat, but is that it? Sorry, I haven't seen any of the movies past 4, and haven't read the books in a while so I'm not really sure what's supposed to be going on. Either way, a little more action would be nice.

Good start so far, my only suggestion in addition to Iz's is to lower statue Lilly's arms and the baby so that we can see her face.

Does mine count? My avatar happened to be HP-themed before the month started, and I Christmas-ified it. Edit: Here it is:

Nope. I've spent my entire life here in Alabatha.

Great contest idea, I'm glad it wasn't another MOC contest, I've got my hands full with other EB contests. I'm not really that great with photography, but I'll try to think of something. Hopefully some nice weather comes around soon for an outdoor shot.

Oh! Mayor, are you alright sir? I looked away for a split second and the next thing I knew, a knife was flying through the air. We, uh, all need to be on our guard about this. I'd like to collect the knife for safekeeping. I agree with the plan to uh, finish searching the town hall.

It did, thanks so much! -
Walter, I also have a lot to say when this is over. Especially something that I just noticed. Go Noodles!

[KEY TOPIC] LDD 4 Bugs and brick errors
JimBee replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Sorry if this has been answered/ reported before, but I'm having trouble accessing the plates/ tiles brick menu. When I open it and scroll down, LDD automatically closes, without any warnings or messages. I can reopen the program and the same thing will happen. Rebooting doesn't help either. Any solutions to this? -
Right, I did play around with jumper plates a bit, so that may work. Thanks prateek, I did already know of that technique, but there are some differences between these sets. So far using modified bricks with studs on side with jumper plates seems like the most promising solution. Thanks Cam, but this one looks pretty hard to build and keep together, and doesn't have the same texture as the "classic" solution. Thanks anyway, it still looks pretty neat. I actually just made an order to build a brick wall. I did consider that, and it's unfortunate that the color I'm using doesn't come in 1x1 tile form. I will try to come up with a solution when I actually start building. And thanks for all the tips everyone, I've started experimenting with these in mind. I'll let you know when these techniques are incorporated into my most recent MOC.

Um, well I don't think the tunnel was ever intended to be blown up. Why don't we just follow it? We heard an explosion at the port, and this tunnel leads there.

Congratulations to all the new Moderators!
JimBee replied to Big Cam's topic in Forum Information and Help
Congrats everyone, well deserved! Although I don't often visit the forums you all moderate (save maybe Action), I'm sure you'll all continue to do a fantastic job. -
I'd like to enter the tunnel, flashlight and pistol out and at the ready. Uh, better let us policemen go first, folks. You never know where there could be danger, and it's our job to protect you. Unless someone really wants to go ahead of us...

Hello, I am looking for some suggestions on brickwork techniques. By brickwork, I mean using Lego pieces to create an image that looks like the stone brick walls you find on houses, castles, etc., with the cement in between. Like this: I know there are some great creations out there that use this effect, but I need some help deciding which technique is the best (after seeing more than one technique). I was thinking of simply attaching 1x2 tiles to 1x2 bricks (modified with studs on side), but I'm not sure that it will suit what I have in mind. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Excellently maintained? Maybe this was the uh, secret facility the Mayor was talking about. Underneath the store itself, maybe? Anyway, I think we should stay here and check this out. The explosion might just be a distraction triggered by opening the door.

I would like to look around on the ground and under foliage for any loose bits of ground or even a tunnel entrance. I would also like to peek under the porch.
-
Wow, this looks great! Very clean-looking, and great example of something that can look good without having incredibly advanced building techniques. I also really like the simple-yet-effective color scheme. As for suggestions, I really like most of it, except perhaps the box pieces used as plant pots. I think a barrel or a round brick-built structure would work better there. Also, I see a few details on the inside, but are you planning to complete the interior? Can't wait to see the finished product when you get your BL order.

Well, uh, good work everyone, looks like we caught one of the commies. Does this mean that there's only one left in town already? Uh, maybe we should check out the farm. It's the only building that's not on the blueprints, and could have a secret tunnel entrance.
