Yes, checking the group periodically is a good idea. Hopefully that's not one of us walking around up there. And sorry, but I'm sure that you understand that we can't have all the townfolk snooping in the armory. It wouldn't be so great if guns suddenly got into the hands of the communists. Can I and my fellow officers go into the armory?

Well there goes my hopes of getting Aayla at a low price. Disappointing news, maybe someone will figure out how to dissolve the glue, but if I heard right the SW magnets will be discontinued completely. Bummer.

Not any more than any of you do, I'm afraid. Like the records says, her body mysteriously disappeared before we could bury her. I'd like to open the keys drawer and take the keys within, as well as look for anything else in the drawer.

Bottoms up, then. I will check the prisoner files when we reach that floor. I'd like to enter the town hall.

Well doesn't anyone else think that the Mayor and Congressman's stories are total megablocks? Uh, uhum, if you don't mind me saying, of course, sir, mister Mayor. It's just a bit odd that you two disappear and suddenly meet us back here without a scratch. I think if there's nothing of interest in that lighthouse, we should check back at the department store. That commie who supposedly took the Mayor and Congressman isn't very sneaky, making all that noise. Oh, and uh, better hand me that pistol there, too. That's evidence, and therefore belongs with the police. If it makes anyone feel safer, I'll give the ammo to Officer Harrison. I'd like to give the ammunition found in the suitcase to Officer Harrison. I'd also like to grab anything remaining in the water.

Or a need to quote any at all. If you just cut out the pictures and leave the text around it, the person you're replying to should know which picture you're talking about. Are quoting pictures still prohibited here? -
Thank you, officer Harrison. Unless anyone has any objections, I believe it's best to have these items safe in the hands of the police. I'd like to receive the knife, ammo, and rifle from Officer Harrison.

How do I embed a Flickr Video?
JimBee replied to Masked Builder's topic in Forum Information and Help
I think it works either way. On the "share me" button on videos, it says to grab the "HTML / BBCode". I grabbed it, entered it into the media tags in this post, and got: Edit: Well, um, now it's not working. It embeds itself just fine in Rich Text Editor (I can play the video in my post editor), but it disappears when I post. When I go back and edit the post again, the video is gone and the media tags ( and ) are still there. Yeah, better let the experts figure this one out. -
Water is technically colorless, but who says art has to be technical? While you could use clear plates with colored piece underneath (to create that depth effect), I agree with Stash. It depends on what you're creating and what kind of vibe your want it to have on your viewers. Stash gave many great examples. You might want to use a bright blue mixed with some deeper blues or bluish greens for a relaxed or peaceful MOC, or maybe black or dark blue for MOCs with a heavier theme. Variation is also important, like the white used as wave crests or the transition from dark to light blue as the water gets closer to shore. Interesting topic, by the way, I'll be following this one for more good water techniques.

I might be interested in one too. How much would you offer it for, Dengar? -
I'd like to see if the radio in this room works. If so, I'd like to tune it to the station that the broken one downstairs was tuned to. The rooms are identical, right?

Ah! Flying communist cardboard boxes! Take cover! Ahem. Well, uh, if everyone's done here, I say we move out to the department store. Something is in there, and I say we check it out. We can always come back and break down doors later.

REVIEW: 7307 Flying Mummy Attack
JimBee replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the review, Brickster. Probably my favorite and most-anticipated set of the new theme. I really love Lego airplanes, and this is no exception. I agree that it maybe could've been better-built, but it will be a nice addition to the IJ Plane Attack set. Jake's bomber jacket is pretty nice, but I really love those wing pieces. I have a few uses in mind for those. I rated this Outstanding. -
REVIEW: 7325 Cursed Cobra Statue
JimBee replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice set, I really like the new colors and pieces. I agree with you on the dark orange 1x2 tiles, combined with 1x2 bricks with studs on sides, they'd make great brick walls. I also like the new color for the female hair, that piece comes in many colors now. The truck and snake are also pretty neat. Not much to complain about, actually, but 30 USD is a little steep. I wish the snake would've been smaller or the obelisk to be omitted in order to bring the price down a bit. -
Huh? Well why are people disappearing? Officer! Why'd you let him out of your sight? It's our job to protect him. I'd like to investigate that fallen tree over there, and the area around it. Footprints? Items? After I take a quick look we should try that key on the door of the hotel basement.

I'd like to read the tax papers, and with my knowledge of the law determine if anything looks out of place. Then I'd like to look at the Congressman's calendar and planner to see what he has planned in the near future. Huh? A warrant? Well it looks like a lack of a warrant isn't stopping you folks from breaking into buildings and opening up a congressman's breifcase, so checking his schedule won't hurt, will it?

How do I embed a Flickr Video?

Ah, there we go. I've just tested it, and you have to click "Share" above the video, and grab the HTML code. Then simply paste it into your post. -

The "code" button is just for writing URLs or codes... not really sure how you would use that one. But have you tried the media button? ( ). It should work for deeplinking any sound or video files. -
Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Yup, investigating the hotel sounds like a good plan. Who knows, with the owner gone, the commies could be squatting in there. I'd like to enter the first floor with the rest of group.

Happy Birthday JD! Hope you have a great day with friends and family (and Lego).
-
Well, looks like we've got a coupla reds on our hands, huh? Don't worry, as Chief of Police, I will do my best to track down these commies. Now, how 'bout that breakfast, huh? While waiting for my breakfast, I'd like to casually peek at the stockroom.
-
A little late to the party, but thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! I had a wonderful day with friends and family.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
JimBee replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
What? How can anyone even begin to compare the currencies of a real world with that of a fictional? Who says SW credits are even closely proportional to the U.S. dollar? In any case, it does make sense. The only thing that's strange is that the SW galaxy consists of... well there's not a number that I know that I could put here. Let's just say Coruscant has quadrillions upon quadrillions of people (assuming it's roughly the size of Earth), and that's covering the whole planet, plus building up, and digging under. Then multiply that number by a few thousand worlds (I know, not all are as populated as Coruscant). Not even two million clones to protect that many people? Let alone fight against a droid army that should be considerably larger considering they're produced by the thousands in factories, non-stop. Well, I guess that much of SWU cannot be made sense of. Including money, armies, and diplomatic policies. Do I even bother?
