Village of the Bloody Damned: Day Cycle 1
JimBee replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
What to do, what to do. Since we have so few people in this town, it wouldn't surprise me if everyone was killed tonight. Oh well, I am just a puppet after all, and I always come back to life somehow. -

Oh, well, for some reason it's not working for me. The bottom quarter or so of the .gif is blinking while the rest of the picture is stationary.... oh well, it's probably just my laptop. -

It's nice, but why is it twitching like that? -
Happy Birthday, Peppermint!

Excellent! Even with few bricks, you managed to capture the nightmare of the DMV perfectly!

The evidence has been presented, and I think that Walter, as I have taught him so well, would not easily throw his life on the line without a good cause. Vote: Frank White/ WhiteFang Unless someone has a better argument?

Sorry, to hear this, Sandy, both PQ and QQ were fascinating, but I completely understand that you would lose interest in a long-running project (especially since you've had that long break from it with Hogwarts Mafia). I'm looking forward to your new comic, though, and I have a pretty good idea of what video game you'll be basing it off of.

I am SO sick of repeating this over and over again. This is the FINAL. FINAL. FINAL. Time I'm going to say this. We did NOT vote for Erik because of his stutter. If you're wondering why, then, oh, maybe you should've been listening. Remember back and find out for yourself why we convicted him. Now, what were you saying about throwing baseless accusations around?

That's a shame, three more of our beloved townies dead... We didn't even get one scum last night. Yes, you're probably right, I have no doubt scum joined in on the vote. But was it me? No, I simply took the evidence provided and went with it. I am sorry he was town, but what else were we going to do? What if he really was scum? There is more than one family after all. Anyway, today should prove interesting. Stash is still alive, and he did say he was willing to share some information with us. So how about it, Stash?

I've never posted here, but I've read just about every post. Many of these stories are pretty scary, and I have gotten chills from reading them. Some are believable, others, not so much. Either way, I do not believe in ghosts or paranormal activity. However, a few strange things happened to me. Like a few others have shared, I have this problem where I'll lose something, search and search for it, and then have t turn up right in plain sight. I always think it's just a "hidden in plain sight" thing where I'm just looking too hard, but it happens a lot, especially with Lego. Also, I've had a similar experience to what rubuko shared. It's a rather long story, but it is quite creepy, if not paranormal. So one night me a couple friends are hanging out a town fair/ festival type celebration (this is only about a month ago), and we start talking about this abandoned mental institution near a major hospital center. Eventually we decide to walk there and check out, since we've heard stories of voices and screaming and whatnot inside the institution. And I kid you not, this may sound weird, but trust me, it does exist. It's in an open field about two miles from the town center that we were in, and pretty far away from the main hospital (which is still functional). The reason that the mental institution is abandoned but still standing is because when it closed, some people in the city (of Milwaukee) protested that it was a "historical site", and it would be pointless to demolish it. Yet it's still all boarded up, with working lights by it, and even a functional security house close by. Anyway, three friends and I decide to walk there. One guy chickens out before we get far, and heads back to the festival. We walked through woods and wet swamp-ish areas to get there, which alone was creepy, and finally crossed a large field (keep in mind it was dark save our flashlights and any light pollution from the highway or hospital). After about an hour of walking, we finally reach the mental institution, which is actually three separate buildings which are (at least I heard) connected through underground tunnels. The buildings are two or three floors each, with boarded up windows, overgrown weeds, and the structures overall are falling apart. There is also the security house and a few lights (no one was in the security house at the time). Now I get to the creepy part. First, we see a white shirt, just laid out on a log near the houses. We figured it was just some kids trying to scare everyone else, but it startled us at first, because we saw it out of the corners of our eyes. Next, we walk around the buildings a bit, and unfortunately there is no way in, everything is boarded up. We come to the door, and all of a sudden I get an urge to ring the doorbell. I do, and it still works! This is a seventy year old building, and the doorbell still works. We jolt out of there, and decide to look at the security house. Now to the part where I have a similar experience to robuko. As we're walking toward the security house, we walk directly under a light (it was similar to a normal highway or street light), and as soon as we do, the light goes out. I have no idea why, there could be a sensor, but why would the light go out? Anyway, that's the creepiest thing I've done/ experienced that I can remember. Sometimes I do feel like someone is watching me, following me, or in my house when I'm in bed. I think I hear things, like the floors creaking, and sometimes the garage light (which is turned on my a sensor) goes on randomly. There are definitely reasonable explanations for some of these things, and I'm sure other people feel like they're being watched, but it''s creepy nonetheless. I do plan on returning to the mental institution, though. I'm not really worried about paranormal activity, but maybe for Halloween, something will happen.

You may call me Jigsaw. I'd like to play a game. No seriously, I would like to play this game. Like I said, I am Jigsaw (my friends call me Jig the Butcher) and I was made at the tailor shop down the street. I like to play games involving killing people who do not appreciate life with complex machines for my own amusement. My hobbies include terrorizing innocent souls and riding my tricycle. And that's about it. We'd better hunt these rowdy band members down before... well I don't actually know what will happen if we don't but we probably should just in case. -

Mhm... Way to take "scary" to the extreme. While Pennywise looks a lot friendlier in Lego form, it doesn't stop the paranoia that movie brings. -
1 point to DarkBlane 1 point to Zip 1 point to Blue Dragon Good luck to all!

1 point to Kustig 1 point to Milargo 1 point to The Laterne Rouge Well done, guys!

3 points to The Laterne Rouge Simply a fantastic creation that surprised me as someone who doesn't build with Lego action figures.

Nice pictures, Legonater. I had thought of doing something similar, adding pictures to go with the DSs, I mean. This confused me at first as well. You have to press enter in between each one, so the sides are slightly askew. Like this: Kick - 0 Low - 1 The right attack is one space lower than the left.

I'm not sure whether I agree or disagree about having fewer night actions. On one hand, yes, it puts more emphasis on voting, but on the other, it gets boring for some players without night actions. I've been without a night action in most of the games I've played, and I don't recall any of them being boring, but I guess I didn't feel as powerful (which is not necessarily a bad thing). I would say that the important thing is to have fun and not play the game alone. Even if you are a vanilla townie, use everything you have to your advantage, including the PM system. Contact multiple players, and try to either find out what they're up to or join them to figure out what everyone else is doing. When you get wrapped up in winning, it's not very fun. I strayed a little off topic there, but the bottom line is that you should never look at a game as "boring", because then it will end up being boring for you. I understand, and I'm glad you decided to share that. Game hosts can learn from their own and other's mistakes this way.

Not at all, I need all the time I can get to finish mine up. Looking forward to this one. -
Amazing work, AC. You must spent lots of time and money tracking down all those figs. I like the little PoP cameo, too.

It's that time of year again! Yes, I'm bumping a year-old topic, for good reason. Better than starting a new topic for the same purpose, right? Anyway, I'm interested in what my fellow EBers are doing to celebrate Halloween this year, if you are at all. Trick or Treating, costume parties, even MOCing to get you into the holiday spirit (no pun intended)? Share it here! Along with Christmas and April Fool's Day, this is one of the few holidays we celebrate on EB. As for my holiday plans, my friends and I thought it would be funny to have our costumes be real doors (on their frames) that we would carry around during Trick Or Treating, and put a "please knock" sign on the front. So when we ring someone's doorbell, they'd be greeted to a door, hopefully knock on it, and we would would give them candy. A few reactions ought to be amusing.

I had the exact same reaction! Love your "Monster" avatar, too, Iz. I updated my avatar yesterday. I've had for a few years, and use it every Halloween. I remember it was my first try at photoshopping a background into one of my pictures, so I thought the accidental shadows left behind looked cool. It has the Ventress head turned backwards to look like Jigsaw from the Saw movies. I'll edit this post later for a larger image. -
Wonderful little comic! I've never heard this one before, so everything was new to me. Great way to present it, and the MOCs and pictures were simple, yet effective. Nice work, keep it up.

That's pretty funny. I like the clone that looks like he spent too much time away from the mirror, and Mace Windu. Well done. The building itself is also pretty good. Great techniques, especially with the hair dryer things. The only suggestion I would have is to add a (removable) roof. Good luck in the contest.

Alright, wait for a few leads. Sounds good. Sit safely in your house, there's no way the mafia can in there, right? You're afraid of condemning a man with no evidence, alright. In any normal circumstance this would be reasonable, however this situation is far from normal. No new leads are coming your way, I'm telling you that now. Stash did say he had a ton of information to give, and I have good reason to believe that he is telling the truth, and the information is viable. But, see, look who he voted for. Ugh, do what you want, but if I were you I'd be more concerned about your own safety than feeling guilty about this. On another note, Stash mentioned that the person who sold the bullet proof vests was male, and that they were dead. And it just so happens that the only person who fits this description is... Rick. Hm, I'm just thinking out loud here, but is there anything we can learn about from this? Anyone who had contact with him? Maybe if anyone who did could look back for things that weren't revealed in any conversations until this info was.
