  2. You may now vote. You have 48 hours to do so.
  3. Just a heads-up, WhiteFang informed me prior to the game's start that he would be away from February 16-20, and is probably without internet access at the moment.
  4. Why would three "y"s be pronounced like one? Kashee-yee-eek? Anyway, liking all of these, and I'm really glad this thread exist. I've definitely LOL'd at some of them. I've also got an idea for one, but maybe the joke isn't obvious... I'll try taking pictures soon.
  5. So you hound me to post that day thread, and now you're not even online to post in it! Why do I even bother?! :''''''''''(

    Happy Birthday Ras!
  7. Night fell, and as usual, blood was shed within Baron Isaac Edgar's manor in that cold Autumn in England. The first to fall was Phillip Peers, by the hand of the musket killer. *BANG!* Next, the killer becomes the killed, and Terence Lyons, the eldest of the remaining guests, is stabbed in the back. Finally, Sebastien Vaughn is wandering the manor, whistling and singing to himself about how good living is. He noted the two blood-drenched bodies on the floor. "Don't worry chaps, it's not as bad as you think", he said, chipper. "Who knows? Maybe you'll come back like I did". He laughed to himself. "Oh..." *** Later, another revival ceremony was performed, this time on Beatrice Synclair. She rose, and turned to face her rescuer. "Thank you", she said. *** In the morning, after the mess left behind was cleaned up, the alliances of the deceased were discussed. Phillip Peers was unfortunately, a loyal Villager. And of course, Sebastien, just recently killed once before, was also a Villager. However, Terence Lyons seemed to be working alone, with a purpose of hunting beasts of the supernatural. He was Neutral. And again, the villagers marveled at the return of another thought to be dead, Beatrice, and later returned to their daily lynching. You must wait 24 hours before voting. Rules: This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. Each "day", you will be given 3 real days in which to vote for someone to kill. To convict, the player with the most votes will be lynched. If someone has been convicted, their loyalty will be revealed shortly after. After this the night phase will begin, which will last 2-3 real days. Then the cycle will repeat. Those players with night actions must send in their choices to the game moderator (me) within 24 hours, or they will not be counted. - Voting is to be done in the day thread, and should follow the following format: Vote: Character (Player). Please note the use of bold. This is the only format that will be accepted. To unvote someone, the same applies: Unvote: Character (Player). - A conviction is reached at the end of the day, in which the player with the most votes is lynched. If there is tie, the player who got the most votes first is lynched. - There is a 24 hour limit at the beginning of each day. You are not allowed to vote during this time. The game moderator may or may not announce when the limit is lifted, so pay attention to when the Day thread was posted. - You may not edit your posts. Violation may result in penalty votes and/or a mod kill. - Do not ever directly quote or claim to quote something the game moderator has sent to you via PM, whether it be your character information, night action results, or any other form of communication. Violation of this rule will result in a moderator kill. You may of course paraphrase any information you receive; if it is your own words then it is fine. - Do not discuss game tactics or "play the game" outside the game thread, including in the General Discussion thread. You may communicate privately via PM, but this is at your own risk, and should be considered part of playing the game. - Likewise, please avoid posting out of character (OOC) in the game thread. - No metagaming (specifically, basing judgment on how someone played in another game. References to past games and roles, not relating to any specific player, are okay). - Please be considerate towards the host. I will try my best to stick to the schedule, and your cooperation will help this greatly, particularly getting night actions in promptly. - There may be certain punishments for not reaching a conviction during the day. Said punishments are final, and are to be obeyed. - Night actions sent after 24 hours into the Night Phase will not be counted. Please send them in quickly, even if you don't plan on using your action. The sooner I get night actions, the sooner the next day can begin. - Lastly, this is very important: Do NOT reveal any game information or even communicate with other players concerning the game at all if you are dead.Yes, this includes speaking to other dead players about the game. If you're dead, then you're dead, so act like it. Absolutely nothing is allowed to be revealed until the game's conclusion is posted. 8. Remarks like that will get you godkilled. But seriously, I know the difference, I just type quickly to avoid you hounding me. Day 5 up shortly.
  9. Vote Tally: Quinn Synclair/ Quarryman: 12 (Hinckley, Sandy, Lord Arjay, Admiral Ron, Eskallon, CallMePie, Alopex, Fugazi, Shadows, Rufus, WhiteFang) The villagers had decided to lynch their youngest member, Quinn Synclair. The mob surrounded him. "Hey, you can't do this! I'm just a kid!", he protested. Penelope and Fiona whisked him away, towards the door. Quinn turned back quickly. "Dad? Uncle Chuck?" he pleaded hopefully. They grimaced back at Quinn. "But Mom... if she were here..." Fiona and Penelope ushered him to the door. Quinn went without another word. The Synclair brothers looked at each other somberly. If only Beatrice were here... Penelope and Fiona secured Quinn in the back room, and returned to the foyer. The remaining villagers discussed their next moves, and later retired. Fiona and Penelope went back to execute Quinn, but soon returned to the Foyer once again. "I am sorry to say that Quinn has escaped", shared Penelope. "He somehow escaped his bindings, and with his small frame, crawled out through a window, which we found open", said Fiona. The crowd murmured, wondering if they should go after him. "He's well off into the wild now, far beyond our reach", interrupted Baron Edgar. "And I think it best that we should let him go, because all that we've worked for would be for nothing if our murderers escaped". Another murmur, this time of agreement, from the crowd. They soon drifted off to bed, wondering who would be next to die. Quinn was another Rouge. Please send in night actions now, please!
  10. Sorry for the delay, something came up. Consider it a time extension for the time EB was closed yesterday. Quarryman's been convicted. Please give me an hour or so of twilight, thank you!
  11. Both. Breaking Benjamin is a band I like, and I thought it appropriate to sub-title the thread that because of Benjamin Cobb's death. Also, (trivia!!) was one of the things that inspired me to make this game set in a dark, Victorian-era setting. That and The Wolfman (2010).On another note, did EB crash or something? I was trying desperately to view the day thread, but I couldn't access the site.
  12. You can vote now, by the way. A little more than 47 hours until twilight.
  13. Congrats to the winners! Well deserved, enjoy the prizes. And thanks to Hinckley for throwing this contest, I really enjoyed building my entry and looking at others.
  14. Apologies for taking so long, I know how agonizing waiting for the day thread can be. I had written out my entire post and uploaded all of the photos, when Chrome decided to crash. I had write it out all over again. Thanks for your patience.
  15. Night fell once again upon the baron's manor, and it was as lively as ever. Someone was dragging Sebastien's corpse out into the foyer. It was still fresh. The figure began chanting in an ancient language, and beams of green light shot out from its hands and into Sebastien's body. It was bringing him back too life. The figure finished and walked off as Sebastien awoke on the foyer floor. He realized what had happened, that he was alive again. While he didn't understand how, he knew he must continue to partake in the crisis at hand. Later, Benjamin Cobb was sitting beside the fireplace, staring into the embers. He heard someone approaching, but was not alarmed. "Are you going to kill me?" Benjamin asked. "Yes," replied the figure. It pointed its musket to the back of the chair, to muffle the shot, and fired. The bullet went through, and into Cobb's torso. He fell to the floor, and quickly bled out. *** Walter Knox was returning to bed. He was walking across the foyer when he noticed two things: Benjamin's body, and someone standing in the corner. He turned around and addressed the figure. "You... please... don't kill me..." pleaded Knox. But it was no use. The figure replied with a swing of its pickax, and struck him down. *** During the wee hours of the morning, a third killer was stalking Beatrice Synclair. It approached her, and plunged its sword into her heart. Beatrice shrieked. Dripping blood, she turned around to face her killer, speechless. Suddenly, with a puff of smoke, Beatrice disappeared. The sword killer stumbled backward, blinked a few times, and was dumbfounded. What had just happened? One minute she was there, and the next... gone. The killer decided to not stick around, and returned to bed. *** In the morning, after the bodies of the deceased were cleaned up, everyone gathered in the foyer. The deaths were discussed, and alliances were determined. Unfortunately, both Beatrice and Walter were members of the Village. However, Benjamin Cobb was another Rogue, who must have been working with Daniel O'Donnell. The villagers turned their attention to Sebastien, who they realized, should be dead. Everyone surrounded him, and conversations began once again in the manor... You must wait 24 hours to vote. Rules: This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. 16. Sorry badboy. I'm now taking the pictures, should be up within 45 minutes.
  17. I have now received all actions, Day 4 will be up in a few hours (I'm planning ahead this time so that I'm around to close the day without extending it).
  18. Looks exactly like mine, except I used this head. Maybe not the best, but I definitely think a thick beard is a must for Wolverine.
  19. I don't think I ever said this before in the Academy while you were making them, but I really like your cover pictures for your two plane reviews. Really nicely done and reminiscent of that era. :)

  20. Vote Tally: Sebastien Vaughn/ Shadows: 17 (Hinckley, CallMePie, Walter Kovacs, Inconspicuous, Lord Arjay, Fugazi, Peanuts, Sandy, Eskallon, Professor Flitwick, badboytje88, TinyPiesRUs, Quarryman, Rufus, Bob TCM, WhiteFang) Night was falling, and the villagers had decided to lynch Sebastien Vaughn. The mob surrounded him. "You're all making a big mistake", he said. "But, I will go quietly. No need to make more of a fuss". The villagers let out a sigh of relief. The past few lynches had not been so easy. Fiona and Penelope accompanied Sebastien out of the room, where they could execute him in a civilized manner. The door closed behind them. Not long after, a crash, and then a scream were heard, and a few seconds later the villagers could see Sebastien, half-chained up, running on the balcony with Penelope in close pursuit. Penelope dived, and knocked Vaughn over. He stumbled over the chain, and fell over the railing. The chain caught around his neck, and strangled him. Fiona looked on, helpless, as Vaughn died. Unfortunately, the group had chosen poorly, and convicted an innocent Villager. The crowd mumbled, disappointed that they were wrong. As Fiona and Penelope worked to get Mr. Vaughn's body down from the balcony, the guests and their host prepared for another sleepless night, lying awake in fear. Night actions, please!
  21. Which is why I was thinking of shortening the days. But I still prefer this new method because I know exactly when I'm going to end the day, and fit it into my schedule. If we were using the old method, a conviction might be reached I wouldn't be there. Up to 19 hours of twilight could go by before I got to posting the day conclusion. It would also make it difficult for players who are in different time zones - a conviction could be reached and then they get accused for not voting when they're asleep or at work.
  22. Vote Tally: Sebastien Vaughn/ Shadows: 17 (Hinckley, CallMePie, Walter Kovacs, Inconspicuous, Lord Arjay, Fugazi, Peanuts, Sandy, Eskallon, Professor Flitwick, badboytje88, TinyPiesRUs, Quarryman, Rufus, Bob TCM, WhiteFang) There are about eight hours left until nightfall.
  23. Okay, then, thanks very much for your opinions. The fact that not all days will be so decisive is good point. I will keep the schedule as it is. Mafia games rarely get frontpaged. Def's was the first since Witch Hunt, as far as I remember. And, sign-ups did start after the conclusion of Bloodbrick's. And if you were intending to sign-up for this game, wouldn't you have checked the WAMG forum frequently? If not, that's not a very assuring trait of a dedicated player. I'm sorry you missed sign-ups, though. Better luck next time.
