  1. Yay! Always something to look forward to Stash. Even if I can't make it down there in person, my sig-fig will be there to represent! My sig-fig's changed since last year, now clean-shaven and in his Victorian attire!
  2. Good to have those, thanks Draggy. Some of the wordings were cleared up, which helps. This will also serve as a good template for advanced games. On another note, and I'm just curious... Is there some sort of committee that helps make decisions for this forum? It seems that there are some leaders, such as Sandy, who assist you (e.g. Mafia School). Maybe the Dragon's Den isn't such a scary place after all, if the dragon doesn't eat all of the peasants?
  3. That's what I meant -- that the glowing blue stars from Kim's blog banner make it over to the Eurobricks Lego Star Wars forum banner.
  4. Oh, okay. I didn't mean anything negative by that, it's just that the first post never said anything about 1st place becoming a real Lego set, yet the title and reason behind this contest seems to imply it.
  5. Very interesting contest! It's spectacular that one of our very own EBers is going to have their entry sold as an official set worldwide. Or am I mistaken and this is a simulation of a D2C design? I won't be entering due to lack of time (and that small possibility that I'll lose... ), but I look forward to what amazing creations will be made for this. The prize pool is huge! I predict that Pharoah's Quest will be the overall favored theme of entrants, but I'll be curious to see what the entrants' imaginations can work up. Also, cool little MOC, ISC. I like the water dispenser.
  6. I also like the banners and skins for the new blog, nice work KimT and the SW mods. Is there any chance that those cool glowy stars could make it over to the official EB Star Wars banner? Also, I remember the staff was talking about having Scouts' LSW emoticons as the default for the SW forum. Any news about that?
  7. Cute, but badass at the same time. Love it! The bear claw feet are my favorite part, they really separate this from other steampunk/ mech creations. I also like the gears made out of tread links, creative. Is that earth orange that you're using for the upper part of the mech?
  8. The greebling and tiling is nice, but... 48x48 is pretty large, at least by my standards. This MOC is also pretty tall. It's very large, but also somewhat lacking. There's a lot of open floor space that you could fill with troops and scenery, and maybe even to make it especially interesting you could add a second floor. Still a good MOC, just needs more going on, IMO.
  9. Mmm... fresh meat... Good luck to all of the players and our wonderful host, I'll be following the game. Also, that first picture looks strangely familiar...
  10. I don't think they're looking at the question mark, but now that you mention it, it looks like they're looking in a certain direction. Jake Raines and the diver are both looking up. Up at something big.
  11. TimeTwisters/ NinjaGo 2? That's a good one. A bit of a riddle, Adventure themes, with question marks next to their respective minifigs, seems to ask, "which theme", or "which adventure?". In any case, I smell a contest.
  12. You're very welcome, glad you enjoyed it!

  13. Wait, so by deffinetelly, you mean defiantly, right? And I'm not sure about your and you're... Would you take rogue and rouge instead? I know those too pretty well. Have fun!
  14. Knew it. Well deserved, Arjay, you are indeed a great mafia player. Keep up the good work.
  15. That was pure coincidence. Honestly, I used random.org to pick roles, I didn't realize that the Hunter having a witch hat could be connected to you until about halfway through.
  16. I honestly don't remember much of Noir, probably too excited and busy defending myself, but yeah, I can see wanting to kill you. Of course, I wrote them down as I was going. They're at the end of this post. Yes, that's correct. Hey, there were only two. Rick was the original neutral, and I wanted TinyPies neutral so that the Village had a disadvantage. I like to see what side they choose, and this way there's a possibility for any side to gain night actions and teammates. I used the standard order of night actions. Both you and Inconspicuous used killing actions, so I flipped a coin to see if Walter would live or die. Same with Peanuts when Inky killed TinyPies. He wasn't a bomb, he was a warrior. Bomb, werewolf flavor, except the ability is not effective for night kills. I did consider it, but then again the Werewolves had a bodyguard and the blocker, Eskallon, could be converted. I suppose if I had included a fourth Rogue to start, it would've been a blocker. Thanks! Yeah, I have to give you credit for the idea of the Thief role and the use of items. I think I mentioned in the HM conclusion that I really liked that idea. However, I don't remember a Gardener role? In WM, the Gardener was a werewolf-flavored bullet-proof townie. And here are some more statistics: Unconvertible: Necromancer Angels Seers Neutrals Night Actions: Night 1: Hinckley: Gives Dragonator a Wolfsbane plant. (unsuccessful) Dragonator: Steals from Quarryman (unsuccessful) TinyPiesRUs: Does nothing. Ricecracker: Protects (and unknowingly roleblocks) Hinckley. Walter Kovacs: Protects Eskallon. iamded: Gifts Dragonator silver bullets. Inconspicuous: Bodyguards Eskallon. Def: Kills Dragonator. Alopex: Does nothing. Sandy: Does nothing. Rufus: Tracks Hinckley Professor Flitwick: Investigates Bob TCM Bob TCM: Converts Walter Kovacs (unsuccessful) Rick: Watches Eskallon Shadows: Investigates iamded. Arjay: Recruits Hinckley. Eskallon: Blocks sok117. Night 2: Hinckley: Gives Wolfsbane plants to Lord Arjay and iamded. TinyPiesRUs: Kills Ricecrakcer. Ricecracker: Protects/ Roleblocks Alopex. Walter Kovacs: Protects Lord Arjay. iamded: Gifts steel lock bearings to Hinckley. Inconspicuous: Kills def and bodyguards Hinckley. Def: Kills Walter Kovacs. Alopex: Does nothing. Sandy: Does nothing. Rufus: Tracks Sandy. Professor Flitwick: Investigates Shadows. Bob TCM: Converts Quarryman. Rick: Watches Arjay. Shadows: Investigates Arjay. Arjay: N/A. Eskallon: Blocks CallMePie. Night 3: Hinckley: Uses Steel Lock Bearings (protects self). TinyPiesRUS: Kills Bob TCM. Walter Kovacs: Protects iamded. iamded: Gifts Steel Lock Bearings to Arjay. Inconspicuous: Kills badboytje88 and bodyguards Arjay. Alopex: Does nothing. Sandy: Revives Shadows. Rufus: Kills Walter Kovacs and tracks TinyPiesRUs. Professor Flitwick: Investigates iamded. Rick: Watches iamded. Arjay: Recruits Walter Kovacs (unsuccessful). Eskallon: Blocks Admiral Ron. Night 4: TinyPiesRUs: Kills Peanuts. iamded: Does nothing. Inconspicuous: Kills TinyPiesRUs and protects Hinckley. Alopex: Neutralizes Admiral Ron (failure). Rufus: Kills Shadows and Tracks Alopex. Professor Flitwick: Investigates Fugazi. Rick: Watches Hinckley. Arjay: Uses Steel Lock Bearings. Eskallon: Blocks Admiral Ron. Shadows: Investigates Charles Synclair. Night 5: iamded: Gifts Steel Lock Bearings to Hinckley. Inconspicuous: Kills Eskallon and Bodyguards Hinckley. Alopex: Neutralizes Inconspicuous (success). Rufus: Kills Rick and Tracks Fugazi. Professor Flitwick: Investigates Rufus. Rick: Watches Inconspicuous. Arjay: Recruits iamded. Eskallon: Blocks WhiteFang. Night 6: Hinckley: Uses Steel Lock Bearings. iamded: Sends Steel Lock Bearings to Arjay. Inconspicuous: Bodyguards Arjay. Professor Flitwick: Investigates Alopex. Arjay: N/A. And just for the record, Flitwick tried to investigate Hinckley in between the time that I closed Day 7 and posted the conclusion.
  17. Of course you didn't play badly, it's just a little bit of bad luck and choices gone wrong. I would've done the same--come forward with my night action to Hinckley. Then again I'm not you so maybe I would've have been metagamed. Must be the Rich Text Editor. It's really nice, but it sometimes messes things up, especially when I can't undo something (color, bold, etc.) and have to write over it. On another note, I couldn't find that 2x2 trans-red tile on BL either. Taking a closer look, it doesn't say "Lego" anywhere on it, so I'm guessing it's a clone brand. A really good clone brand, since it's got the ridges and everything.
  18. Maybe, but I'm sure Hinckley has made those kind of jokes in an EB mafia before.

  19. It was Ignatius Conan. I did it to make it seem like both of the revivals were similar--that's the whole point of having two (one's alliance stays the same, the other doesn't). That puff of smoke thing was my screw-up. I was planning on passing it on anyway. Getting the night action results and day thread up is a lot of work, so sorry for not telling you right away. Like I said, a maximum of once every three nights. That would mean, two. However, that doesn't mean the Werewolves were in favor over the Rogues, remember the Werewolves only started out with two, and there was only a chance that Beatrice would turn into a Vampire. You didn't ruin anything, but I admit saying to myself, "Don't die, don't die..." because I was also excited about the Werewolf role and what you would've done with it. Now, on the weight of things, I agree that it was a bit in the Village's favor. And I do mean a bit. Honestly, it could've gone either way, especially if Zepher hadn't died. I admit that the Rogues could've had another conversion, but otherwise, I'd say that all three factions were fairly matched. There were also some disadvantages thrown against the town, such as scum with two actions, a paranoid doctor, a mason, an insane cop, and a neutral werewolf hunter. There was no town vigilante. All in all, I highly recommend this setup, with less scum. Starting with five or more is just way too much for the town to handle, and the scum usually win. Like I said, this could've gone either way, it just happened to be in the town's hands. I'm confident that this is much fairer. Here are the roles as well as how I thought you played. Werewolf Bodyguard - 50% chance of dying when protectee is targeted by a killer. Later inherited killer role for Werewolf team. You played excellently, stringing Hinckley and others along with your double action. It's unfortunate that you lost your only teammate right away, but you dealt with it well. Was rooting for you. Rogue Killer Well played, it's unfortunate you were killed like so many others. I think your death lead to the fall of the rest of your team. Rogue Turner Caught up in your own lie, but you did well for the time that you lived. Gardener - Immune from both Werewolf attacks and conversions. Could hand out two wolfsbane plants to make the holders immune to werewolf convert. Do I even need to say it? You were a fantastic town leader, and lead the way to victory. A huge asset to the town's success. You also added a lot to the fun of the game, with plays and applesauce. Seer (Investigator, Sane) Not your best game, I have to say. You flew under the radar of any scum or suspicious townies for the most part, until Flitwick and Hinckley exposed you. I'm thinking you might've lived if you had been a little more rational. Psychologist - One time success use. Could target any player, if they were a killer, they'd be neutralized for two nights. I wish you would've participated more, and also asked me to clarify your role if you were unsure of it. However, you played well for your first game, and seemed to know the ins and outs of it pretty well. Warrior (Bomb with a twist) - If lynched, took down the final voter with him. Not effective against night kills. Again, would've like to see more posts out of you, but I suppose you kept under the radar. I don't understand why you would reveal your ability without under the pressure of a lynch, but I suppose you didn't want to become a target of Hinckley's. Double Voter Would've like to see more posts from you as well, but go ahead and add that sixth win to your trophy case. Vampire - if night killed (not lynched), was converted to team Werewolf. Gained conversion ability after Werewolf died. I was quite happy with the way you played. You argued well, and for a moment I thought you would live on as a vampire. Great game. Werewolf - kill action, could choose to convert once every three nights. Caught up in a fluke. Didn't get much of a chance to play, did you? Very unfortunate turn of events. Angel (Protector, Sane) Nicely played. Starting night 1, you came really close to changing the game every night until you died. First, the Rogues tried to convert you, then kill you, and then kill you again, finally successful. Necromancer - could revive one character through the duration of the game. Well done, it's too bad your revival was close to no use for Shadows. It seemed like you were suspicious to others, but used logic to convince them otherwise. That and the fact you made it obvious that you had nothing to hide. Vanilla Honestly, you talked way too much. I usually skipped through your long posts. Dedication is good, but when you're repeating yourself over and over, paragraph after paragraph, it gets to be a chore. Vanilla I was very impressed by the way you lied your way out of being lynched with the Vampire Hunter lie. Very smart, and well-played all around. Monk (Mason) - could recruit one person every other night. If Village, the two learned of each other's loyalty. If scum, the monk died, and if neutral, nothing happened. Any monk could have been converted. Also well played. I should've made your action effective every night to make things more interesting. Good thing to be in Hinck's inner circle. Thief - could steal or give one item each night. It's really too bad that you got killed on the first night. I know how that feels. It sounds like you were on your way to becoming a trusted townie though, so good job with that. Hunter - Main objective was to get silver bullets and kill the werewolf (and survive), but could kill without silver. Great game. Apparently you decided to side with the Village after the Werewolf was defeated. I suppose I would've like to see more posts. Vanilla, converted to Rogues. Really quiet for most of the game. That becomes suspicious, you know. Ah well, I suppose you did well for what you were given. Seer (Investigator, Insane) - Got opposite results for investigations. Nicely done. You figured your sanity out pretty quickly (I took a leaf from TinyPies by saying things like "quickly rifled through x's things" to make the sanity a little more obvious). Vanilla Would've liked to see a bit more participation from you, but not too bad. You survived, so... Town Drunk - Voteless, but could watch someone to see who targeted them each night. Great job, you used your role wisely, and were a big help to the Village. It's a shame that you died right before the victory. Rogue Tracker - could follow once person each night to see if they had performed a night action. Very well done, you fought until the end. I know you would've lasted longer if not investigated. Fear-monger (blocker) No idea why you would've revealed our action right away, but I guess it smoothed over for the most part. Unfortunately, you happened to pick all vanilla townies to block, but at least you learned that they weren't killers. Blacksmith (Inventor) - Could hand out one of the following: Silver Bullets, Steel Lock Bearings, Metal Chains to one person each night. Could not use the items himself unless gifted from Dragonator, and could not send to the same person twice in a row. Great game, you were part of the inner circle. You forgot to use your night action one time, but nothing to complain about besides that. Vanilla Well played, it's unfortunate that you were killed because of the "everyone has a night action" assumption. Fun fact, your character fig was my favorite. Devil (Protector, Paranoid) - Roleblocked all protectees. You did well for the time you played, but I don't think anyone ever realized that you were paranoid. This is why Hinckley's night action didn't work on night one--otherwise the wolfsbane would've been lost along with Dragonator.
  20. Neither the Rogues nor the Werewolves could be converted. The Rogues started out with Def (Killer), Bob TCM (Turner - one time use), and Rufus (tracker). Bob tried to convert Walter Kovacs, but it was unsuccessful as I wasn't going to allow protectors to be converted. He later converted Quarryman, a vanilla townie. I suppose I should've given the Rogues at least one more conversion, to make them more even with the Werewolves. Yes, Zepher could also convert, but only once every three nights. And if Beatrice came back as a Vampire, she would take over the conversions after Zepher died, still every three nights. 1. No one. I made up the deaths as I went, so if all three of you were dead, lynchees would probably get the regular mob treatment death (cornered by the angry mob, are killed somehow). 2. There wasn't any. I thought the conclusion up the night before. Quinn Synclair survived for two reasons; one for being "underage", and the other... well, perhaps this isn't the last you'll see of Quinn Synclair. Next post will have player opinions from me (how I thought you did).
  21. You could steal: Wolfsbane from Hinckley (even if he gave out his two allotted sprigs already). Wolfsbane from the people who Hinckley gave it to. Silver Bullets, Steel Lock Bearings, or Iron Chains from iamded (depending on which of the three he sent out during said night). Silver Bullets, Steel Lock Bearings, or Iron Chains from anyone who had received them, but hadn't used them yet.
  22. I will do so shortly. Now that's dedication. I'm honored. That's right, if Arjay had targeted a Neutral, nothing would've happened. Neutrals were also ignored for everyone else's win conditions and could not be converted. Hehe, glad you liked that part. I don't even know where that piece is from, I just gathered all of my trans-red red pieces in a little bowl next to the set, and the 2x2 trans-red tile was a perfect fit for a pool of blood.
  23. More on the weight of sides later... They were a third faction that was present throughout. They had to outnumber both the Werewolves and the Village. Likewise, the Werewolves had to outnumber both the Rogues and the Village.
  24. I must've left it out on accident, but good thing you were dead then. I agree that your role wasn't the best, especially since I told you that you could say that you can't vote. Not really sure what that accomplished. It did turn out that your watching action was useful, though, especially as a neutral. You could've been/ were a big help to either side.
  25. Nah, of course I did. It's EB, there's always inappropriate fun going around. :P
