Hybros winced as Matthias went down, and then sustained his own injury. Bennetton uses a Grand Potion on Hybros from the back row before the imp attacks Dundee with the Blade of Tranquility and then Sobeca with Iustitia. He then attacks Cayman with Iustitia and Bors with BOT (back row). Gnash repeats. "I think Torc took care of that werewolf already..." "So if Guffington has gone with them, what are we protecting?" Hybros swings Iustitia and the Blade of Tranquility at Dundee and Sobeca and then switches hands to do the same to opposite enemies (front row). "Captain Bennetton, was it? Hybros follows his fellow heroes and Guffington into the Font. Everything becomes a blur, and several figures appear before them. "So that was another Old God, hm?" He looked around and then to the newcomers. He vaguely remembered one of them. "Hans, is that you? It has been quite some time since that arena, heheh. So you are here to help. I think we will need it… Here." He handed Bennetton and Triad each 5 Grand Potions, 5 Health Cores, 2 Remedies, a Feather of White, 2 Nostrums and 2 Meads. "I will need these items back if you do not use them, heheh." He also swaps his Medal of Glory for his Phoenix Emblem.

"Certainly." He replies to Purpearl and hands the Grand Potions over.

Hybros hands over the Flame and chugs a mead, nostrum and mulled wine. He also equips his Sterile Gloves.

Anyone original enough to diverge from the Mystic Knight -> Dragoon scheme? Yes it is a good path...

Hybros nods. "Very well. Dyric's arrangement should work. If this is the void you are speaking of... I have at least some experience with keeping things out. I will protect Gerald to my last breath." He stepped over to Guffington with a bit of sadness in his eyes, mixed with determination. "If there is no time say it later, I wish to say it now. You have been a good friend, and your legacy in Eubric will not be forgotten. And I will not forget all that you have taught me. Your dreams that we pulled you from, all that time ago. You were a young man back then in that world, and I was much less experienced myself. But you taught me that one must really see the world before condemning it. It was... backwards for me. I came into this world with a purpose, eager to find my people, and back then, to avenge them. But I realize now that it was that purpose that allowed me to see the world, and once I accomplished that goal there was still more to do. That is what the journey taught me. And our own trips to Dastan, Xu, and now here... I have learned much. There is still more to do." With an outstretched hand, "Thank you."

OOC: Could we have a full party stat update before anything big happens? "Do you have the other two artifacts? We are starting this now." Hybros says bluntly. "I do not think we have much time." Hybros continued to eye Guffington with uncertainty. He had known since the start of the quest that his old friend and employer would die, but only now did it seem so real. "Very well then. I will retrieve the other heroes." Hybros is gone for a moment, or perhaps many moments, to inform Hoke, Guts and Purpearl of the situation before reappearing, his dark leathery skin somehow taking a greenish appearance. "How my people ever got used to the Void is beyond me... I would not wish it upon many." "I was simply doing my job. I had no way of knowing Piglina would the news so poorly."

"Tch, you don't know anything about me or the Moon Elves, hotshot. Where are your people? Drinking buddies don't count."

"Or a pirate." Jinnipher eyed the Rogue Thief up and down. "You'd fit in better with the crowd down by the harbor." "...Just don't expect anyone here to help you when you're dying. Quests here are foolish endeavors for the weak and inexperienced. You can even put your whole party in danger, just ask the bookworm over here." She tossed her head towards Lind.

"Well then... I suppose I had better get Matthias." "Melquidas, take me to Matthias." Hybros tumbled into Bombast's Office, quickly grabbed the gnome by the shoulder, and teleported back to the Council Room. "Here he is, I think we have all four artifacts ready." He looked over to Guffington. "Are... you ready?"

Jinnipher threw her head back and laughed obnoxiously. "Hahahahaha! Keep dreaming kiddo!" The moon elf collected herself to reply to the dwarf. "Listen, drifter. Not just anyone can come in here. This is Heroica Hall, for heroes like me. Some are more qualified for the title than others-" she shot a look Lind's way "-And if you can't handle a few pickpockets this is the wrong place for you. Besides, even if you really were to join you can't just show up. You need the Veteran's approval, although that might be easier than it used to be." More glances around the room. She squints her eyes at the pirate. "Are you even a real hero, captain scruffy?"

OOC: Will there be time to complete the sidequests and do other stuff around the island? You said we could go at our own pace, but I just want to make sure whatever Piglina is doing isn't triggering the finale. I would at least like to forge a gem! "Matthias has two, and I have two. Are you saying we should, erm, resurrect Passion here and now?" Hybros looked over to Guffington uneasily.

"I would like to see what she thinks first. She would know Piglina better than anyone, but I do not know what she will do. Our priority is protecting these artifacts. I have two, and I suppose Matthias has the others. The last I saw him he went to wherever Arthur is." He nodded to motion for Felix and Guts to follow him. He stood next to Dyric and addressed the Mother. "I am sorry to interrupt, but I think your friend Piglina will try to stop all this somehow. Hope, what do you think she will do? How should we prepare?"

Hybros closed his eyes after Piglina left. "I am... not sure, to be honest Matthias. Guffington and Daneeka say it will restore order, and if Passion is anything like his sister Hope, well, I guess the world could use the wisdom. The Old Gods do not seem very evil to me..." He opened his eyes waiting for a response, but Matthias was already gone, disappeared into thin air. He cursed under his breath. "I am liking this place less each minute, I think..." After calling Melquidas to be taken to the council room, Hybros wandered over to Guts and Felix. "Hello... ehem, we may have a problem. Piglina would seek to undo our efforts... although I am not sure what she has planned. Do you know where the Mother is?"

Jinnipher sips her mug arrogantly. "Not long enough," she replied to Karie's and Lind's comments.

Jinnipher seemed to be the only one around at the time that a newcomer entered. She looked over her shoulder. "You're trailing in stink and mud. This is no shelter for bums."

"It is already a dog eat dog world out there, believe me. I have personally dealt with Mephisto, among the other dangers you mentioned. Zed Ziegfried meddled in dark magic as a grasp for power. I do not know much about this Baba, but I have from other heroes that she is power-thirsty as well. When I opened the door to Zoot myself, it was not for power or personal gain, only for justice and freedom for my people. They were sent to the void in the first place because of greed. What we are doing here... it is not for those selfish reasons. Bringing Passion back will not benefit us personally. It is for the greater good, and our employers have already weighed the decision for many years. Perhaps it will even restore some of this order that you speak of." Hybros sighed. "If I cannot convince you perhaps the Mother will. It is not my place to stop you here and now, but I will do whatever it takes to see this quest through. Do what you must."

Hybros points at Pilglina intimidatingly. "Stop!" He looked uneasily at Matthias. "After you answer Matthias' questions, I would like to know what order you think exists. I am tired of hearing about maintaining the world as it is. There are too many people like you who do not believe we can do better. The Order Imperial lives in the past, and you like the rest of this island live in isolation from the world's problems. I do not suppose you have seen many of them firsthand while you are stuck here, but I will tell you that it is no pleasant sight, most of the time. There is evil out there, and there is chaos. They cannot be ignored, and what our employers... ehem..." He paused briefly, before deciding that he would have to be fully committed to Guffington's plan and ideals before fighting for them. "...We are trying to do here is to make the world a better place. This order that you think you have... it is not 'good enough'."
