"Oh? What were they like? I met one myself in Etheria. He seemed like a... nice person... He actually helped us a lot with our mission. Very skilled in the use of magic."
-
"No time like the present," Jinnipher replied using her normal voice. "There's probably nothing I could tell you that you don't already know, dragon. He lived like a murderous fool and died like one, by the hand of this blade." She held up the Brine Blade. "He left something behind, too. Father and son will be reunited once again." "That's what you risked the mission for? I could have told you all of those things before we even left." Jinnipher rolled her eyes. "I made clear to the Veterans your failures in Moone the day we returned. Clearly they'll come to regret ignoring my advice when you go running for the hills." She nodded pointedly at the Dragonlord. She snorted. "Well then, to The Albatross. I know a talented pianist there."
-
"Hm, yes, it seems I have experienced a similar path. Heroica is where I have made many friends and found many answers - which is more than I can say for the first fifty or so years of my life." Hybros smiled. "Well alright then. What do you suggest?" "If we are selected, though I do not know when that will be. A few of the heroes on my last quest went to Baltarok, it sounds like a harsh place. Giant worms, sandstorms, and chaomancers... At least they got what they came for, and got out alive." "Excuse me for one moment," he says to his friends. "I will be back with the drinks." Hybros makes his way to the bar and waves for Scheherazade after boosting himself up on a stool next to Althior. "Oh, there you are. Here, I think this belongs to you." He procured the Medal of Glory and returned it to the Prophet before taking the drinks and heading back to his table. He jerked his head at Althior. "If you would like to speak I will be over there." He returned to the table with Atramor and Boomingham and distributed the drinks.

"The path that's seen too many imbeciles and traitors, especially in this organization." OOC: No, just thought I'd ask.
-
Jinnipher looked the newcomers up and down. "Tch, what is this? Another dragoon and some sort of orc paladin? You had better be up to snuff. I suppose we'll need you now that this one here is planning on running away and this one over here tried to join the dragon's angel army." She indicated to Lind and Siercon, respectively. "That's right, Dragonlord. Almost half of the party you picked is incompetent. After what the kid did in Moone, I would expect you to know to never hire him again. You might as well send him on his way now." She sneered. OOC: I'd also like to know if we can interact with anyone in the Hall... even if it's just dropping off an item.

"Heh, like I said before, you remind me of me. I too once thought that but somehow I knew I was not alone. I am sure your people are out there somewhere." "I do not think they sell tea at the marketplace but Nostrums are always good, heheh. Good luck to you, Germ." Hybros waved goodbye to his new acquaintance and tipped his hat to Boomingham as he sat down. "You had your own ship? What made you give that up and come here?"

I'll take it!

Jinnipher looks out at the pouring rain, something between a grin and a grimace spreading across her face. "So this is it then. The mighty Immortalis has chosen to die today." Jinnipher nodded. "If the dreams weren't tricks. Not that I picture him being brave enough to come down here and fight us himself. Any suggestions, Cain?"

Try refreshing or using the full editor. Lately I've been having trouble with the rich text editor switching to simple on its own and doing something similar to what you described. Might have to do with EB switching servers a few weeks ago. Woah, cool! I didn't know it came with an ability.
-
"Yeah, cut his head off." She rested her hand on The Beheader's hilt. She crossed her arms and tilted her head as Gabriel leaned against the post. "Look, Immortalis is all about showing off but he's still a big old lizard. It's going to take more than a few of us to take him down. Why don't you and your brother help us if it comes to it? You'd be better off than building shelters for people to die in. Since when did you get so soft in the heart anyway?" She jabbed her thumb at Lind while still talking to Gabriel. "Especially with one or two of us so-called heroes jumping ship, or gods forbid helping the damn thing rampage this city." She glared at Siercon and then rounded on Lind. "It's not as if you're making any history to begin with. With all the reading you supposedly do you should know that cowards aren't worshiped in stories or songs. I'd rather go out fighting anyway. Even better if you're running the other way."

"Hm. I am no demon, though my people have lived in the void for some time. I am an imp, and we were once a proud race who lived in Olegaia's forests, far before the time of men or elves. Not as old as dragons, but almost. Maybe." "As for your second question... the kind that enjoys a good tea, heheh. What is it that you like to drink Germ?" He waved over to the Scheherzade, still trying to figure out the creature before him.
-
Hybros scratched his head, unsure of what a pervert was. "She sounds like an archdemon to me. Mephisto also fought with an undead army." He shuddered. It seemed like he had his fair share of fights with undead. "Heh, you sound like me when I was younger. Like you, people thought I was a demon. I have since learned my true history. Tell me, Germ, have you ever sought out your past? I am Hybros by the way." Hybros eyed Germ and Atramor before quickly recounting the conversation to Boomingham. "The usual, archdemons and power corruption. Nothing to worry about.... eheh." "Hm... I am sure we will find this man where we are headed then. The Oracle is rarely wrong. But I wonder... if she ever saw this far ahead. No matter how many demons we kill there always seem to be more." Hybros ordered another tea and began sipping it. "I will have had my fair share of traveling, I think, heheh. When I first arrived in Eubric I thought I had seen it all, roaming the High and Low Kingdoms since I was very young. But now I have just returned from a journey to Dastan, Xu and Etheria, and maybe yet I will get to go to Goetia. Just like Guffington, I suppose... Ehehm, have you ever been?"
-
Hybros raised an eyebrow at the newcomer. "Rosier, hm? Perhaps these archdemons go by many names. Tell me what you know about it. And I do not suppose you have that name because you are from the Void? I am familiar with names people give those who resemble creatures of Zoot."
-
Jinnipher scowled at Immortalis, but before she could shoot something back the party was whisked away. Jinnipher grinned slyly. "Always the charmer, Gabriel. I was just thi--... well, I was just in Eschaton. Boy would I like to stick it to that high and mighty lizard." She tossed her hair. "So what are you doing here? Masson." She nodded at the one-armed man. "How's that sword treating you?"
-
Hybros gave his old ally one more long look before exhaling and deciding he was trustworthy. "Which demon? You must mean your chicken. Then you knew." His wings twitched with anxiety. "There is something terrible stirring. I mean, there always is in this job, but I mean... I saw it. I have never seen anything like it. A demon, with a very powerful undead army at its disposal. And your chicken, I think it is working with the demon. If you ever see it again, kill it." He sighed, and peered at the book Atramor was examining. Hybros raised an eyebrow. "You must have learned a lot in Azzurat. In the old Temple of Zoot below this city, where we fought Mephisto, there were three seals for archdemons. The last time I was down there... they were all broken. Mephisto the Gluttonous, Abraxas the Proud, Marilith the Vengeful. I think the Ziegfrieds were the ones who got caught up in everything. Along with Mephisto we had to fight an undead army led by some Ziegfried ancestor." Hybros scratched his head. "Maybe we will find a Ziegfried there, although Zed is dead. Marilith must be the one in Dastan, though I was just there and did not hear any word of it. She must have been defeated, for the time being. These archdemons can never really be destroyed I have found. They fly between this world and the void freely, and probably many other realms. And they are everywhere. Mephisto, a little part of him is in that dagger. And I saw another part of him in the Font. Erm, I think that is where people go when they die." Hybros sighed again and rubbed his temple. "That leaves Abraxas and this sloth character. Perhaps Byblos will know more about them, but I know that we will be in for a dangerous mission, if we are seen fit to complete it." He slid the bottle back down to Atramor. "We had better rest up while we can."
-
Hybros frowned. "You must mean the Pandemonicon. I am familiar with this book, in more ways than one. I know its power, and it can corrupt anyone. That's why Byblos has it locked up... eheh..." He coughed forcefully. "Erm, anyway, yes I have fought an archdemon here in Eubric. Where do you think you got that Pheles Rod from? Azzurat, hm? They are popping up everywhere." Zoot's Reaper buzzed in its sheath. "Ah, I see you have sharpened the weapon into something else. I am sure Mephisto did not appreciate that, heheh. And your chicken, wh-" His eyes went wide, stopping mid-sentence. He examined Atramor cautiously. After a few moments of awkward silence he leaned in towards the Rogue Thief despite his stench. The imp's eyes were filled with concern and fear. "Atramor, where is your chicken?"

You're right that it's the fair solution, I'm just bitching and moaning because I wanted to be OP. I forgot about the 50/50 chance for scroll weapons. I'm going to switch the Aquamarine to the Hollow Dagger and retcon my marketplace post. I think it's fair that I should have to pay to disimbue it after the ruling changed.
-
Jinnipher pouted her lips. "Tch. Don't believe him for a second, it was definitely a mind trick." She pointed at Immortalis. "You'd better hope I don't see you again anytime soon. It's going to ."
-
Hybros whipped around as he felt the movement, but grinned when he saw what/who it was. "Atramor, I think you have seen better days, heheh." He grabbed the bottle from Atramor's hand and took a whiff. Crunching up his nose at the scent he put the bottle down away from the ex-pirate. "When is the last time you got out of this Hall?"
-
I don't see how they're much different than the scroll forge from #130. What am I supposed to do now? I would've done differently if I would have known you could only imbue one. I already imbued two into SOAH. Like Iustitia is right now? Even with the new rule proposition it's fair game. Look out.
-
Hybros sat watching the conversations. It seemed the people he was talking to had forgotten him in the hustle and bustle of the Hall, which was just fine by him. He leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes.
-
"I see." Hybros points to Kiray's bag, from which a vial of green fluid was sticking out. "I could not help but notice you have an Everlasting Venom there. Perhaps if the gold is too much for the Mythril, you would be willing to make a trade? Heheh."
-
"That's it? Well let's go then. The less time spent here the better, lest we forget about the real world with real problems down there." She tossed her hair arrogantly.
-
What Flipz said about multiple weapons vs. single weapon combos. See the SOAH for an ideal setup in my mind. the Ruby/Opal combination is a must-have for the 4x multiplier on Beasts (which are fairly common), and I like a Sapphire in there too to double up on the Vermin multiplier (also very common). Darkness-elemental weapons are obviously the most powerful because Humanoid enemies are by far the most common. Vermin/Humanoid, Vermin/Beast and Beast/Humanoid enemies also appear now and then so a weapon like that will have massive multipliers. I think the general idea is to have Ruby/Sapphire/Opal/Amethyst in one weapon and Emerald/Aquamarine/Diamond/Topaz/Garnet in another. I've personally never found a good use for the second combination in a single weapon, but some characters have stuck to this two-weapon rule before (Skrall, Benji off the top of my head). I personally like having a pure light-elemental weapon on hand in case you go on a Pie quest and he throws Undead/Ethereal enemies at you like no one's business. I learned from #98 and kept Iustitia pure light-elemental for #129, and it paid off. On principle I would keep diamonds and amethysts separate. Guts' Mythril Edge has both and it's had use in almost every situation, but I prefer otherwise.
