OOC: I don't think I should be taking as much time counter damage as I am. It should be health lost equal to the round count, right? Hybros repeats his attacks.

Hybros tries to blind Sprite A again, striking with Iustitia and aiming the Heavy Flail at Sprite C in the front row. If successful, he attacks Sprite C with SOAH and Sprite B with Zoot's Reaper in the front row, if not, he repeats.

Hybros continues his assault, attacking Sprite B with Iustitia and Sprite A with SOAH from the back row. If he successfully blinds B, he attacks the same enemies with reversed weapons in the back row, otherwise repeats.

OOC: Thank you for the quest, Zepher. I'll post my thoughts in the QM Lounge when I get a chance. A few things with Hybros' stats: first, his gold count may be off. Before the battle started he had 50 fewer gold than he does now. I don't remember if something happened that allowed him to gain gold, but I might have forgotten something. Second, I think my health has been off. At level 44 Hybros should have 70 health, not 67. Third, I meant to swap the Medal of Glory for the Phoenix Emblem in the last round but wasn't able to post without Internet. Any chance of being able to do this since he did nothing that round anyway? Fourth, I went back and checked the SOAH kills and there were a total of 9 from that battle, so the SOAH should be WP:48.5. "I see..." Hybros says in reply to Passion. "Then you will have to inform us when there are new developments. We will be there when this threat reveals itself." He removed the Gloves of the Dragon Mother from his pack and handed them to the Old God. "If the Dragon Heart Flame is to remain here, then, I suppose these should stay with it." He took the valuable shards from U'Or, nodding in thanks. He gave the Adamantite Shards to Arthur and Matthias, and a Mythril Shard each to everyone else. He nodded to the gnome with respect. "I do not think we could have succeeded in that battle without you. Well done, Matthias." As he handed Dyric his shard, "May I ask you for a favor? I would like to forge one of your Opals. I can return an Opal to you once we return to Eubric." He paused. "Why do you not hold onto that Cloak of the Red Assassin for the time being? I have no use for it right now and it suits you better anyways. I will need my Bladerang back though, heheh." Hybros also returned the Blade of Tranquility to Hoke in exchange for his borrowed Phoenix Incense. He tossed the vial in with the other potions he took back from their ethereal allies. Turning to Zeus, Hybros handed over 950 gold for the scroll and gauntlets. "So it is normal for you to try to kill anyone who you happen to disagree with? Hm, well sometimes we heroes are not much better, I guess." Finally addressing the whole party, "I am going to visit the Forge Master now, and would like to return to Eubric soon after. Unless there is anything else, I will see you on the ship. Melquiades, Forge Master." Arriving at the forge, the imp explained to the master, "I would like to forge an Opal now, please." He prepared for battle, ensuring that his Phoenix Emblem was securely equipped. OOC: The Opal depends on Dyrics response. If not his then Hybros will buy the Forge Master's.

This is an outrage. -
That's an interesting point. I had a quest in the works a while back that took place in Eubric and mainly recycled pictures.

Hybros frowned as he watched Passion speak. It was odd seeing Gerald's body move in such a way that wasn't his own. Still, it was hard to believe he was gone. "So this power... it must be below Etheria, yes? If this is where the Font landed." He nodded. "Guffington would want us to step in and finish this. I too would like to know why these witches would be seeking this power. Are they not the ones who warned you about it in the first place?" He turned to his fellow heroes. "I wish to visit the Forge Master before I return. Guts, come get me if you find any results with what you seek." "But first..." he turned towards Zed. "I do not suppose you are still willing to sell your wares? If so, I will buy a Scroll of Love from you. And how much would you ask for... Gauntlets of Recklessness (HITs become MORTAL HITs, adding lost health to the attack power; suitable to barbarians; handwear.)?"

Does anyone know where I can find the description for those Black Knight Gloves? They basically allow Mortal Hits for any class. I might've dreamed them up but I could've sworn I saw them somewhere. EDIT: Found them in the Grogmas thread. Keliim just needs to update his inventory.

Jinnipher closed her eyes and let out air through her nose, visibly annoyed. "So the shadowman gets judged too. Whatever. I'm still here to see the job through. So now what? This place is getting duller by the second." She tried to appear bored, but kept sneaking glances around her, increasingly aware that they were being watched. The truth was, she didn't like Eschaton one bit. Not because it was boring, but because of the threats within it. Jinnipher stares at Siercon in disbelief. "You too?! Gods, I knew you were incompetent but another traitor!?" She jerked a thumb at Lind. "The Hall really needs to keep better records of you people. This whole mission is going to be blown up by your treachery. Hey Charon, you might as well take the bookworm to be judged, too. Just because he worships you doesn't mean he's to be trusted, right?" She gave Siercon another hard stare. "If the lizard doesn't eat you then I'll kill you myself. At the very least you'll be tossed from this dimension and out of Heroica. I'm tired of imbeciles like you compromising missions."

Hybros resisted the urge to scoff at Chauncey. "This was your idea, you must know more about it than us." He pushed the brim of his hat back on his head. "Alright... in Dastan, when I first saw the Dragon Heart Flame, I saw an ancient time. Probably older than you." He nodded to the three Old Gods. "There were three witches who watched over the flame, until it fell into the sky. A big blue dragon caught the embers in its mouth, and then there were many dragons. The very first of their kind, I think, in Dastan's infancy... And somehow the Flame gave them great powers. I do not think humans or other races have such powers. Arthur and I saw the same blue dragon when we found the First Breath in Xu. Hope was there, in the vision, along with other beings. They dropped a mountain from the sky and the Aoi were born. Surely I do not have to explain if you were there? Perhaps the memory archives would help you remember." He fluttered his wings restlessly. "And that is all I know. The dragons we met in Dastan spoke of how Olegaia was doomed, and the one who seemed to know something in Xu did not speak at all. I do not know of this danger that Guffington and his colleagues detected. Perhaps it has something to do with the three witches I saw, but I am not sure if they have done anything bad."

The quest has failed!
-
Jinnipher glanced at Siercon. "Look at the trouble you've gotten yourself into now. Are they going to judge you now?" She frowned and rolled her eyes. "Is there anyone else from Heroica that doesn't jeopardize quests? Nice knowing you, Shady."
-
Are the sign-ups for 148 being extended because you're still preparing, Sandy, or because there are only three heroes signed up? I think 137 and 139 are just about wrapping up if you need more high-leveled heroes. I would love to sign up, but I know that at least a few of us in 139 want to wrap up the side quests. I at least want a shot at some ethereal gems. Zepher, are you still able to host past the quest conclusion? I know you've gotten really busy.
-
Hybros rubs his head as he lands back in Etheria, though it was little comfort to know he was on solid ground. From a weird place to a weirder one. "I suppose we succeeded," he said quietly. He rested a hand on Guffington's forehead. "Now what?" He looked to Hope. "Perhaps now we need the artifacts?" He used the Gloves of the Dragon Mother to hold the Flame and was ready to call upon the power of the First Breath.

Jinnipher crossed her arms and turned her nose up at the food as she took a seat next to Karie. "Well, did he tell you what his judgement was?" She said to the ambassadors before leaning over to mutter to the minstrel. "Well I don't trust anything here. These angels everywhere, too nice and welcoming for a doom-bringing army about to descend on Eubric. I fought with one of their pets. Dealt with it handily, too bad the same can't be said for the kid." She smirked over at Lind. "Did these godless servants give you much trouble?"
-
Hybros looked at Guffington. "I have already said what I needed to say. I suppose we will be the ones to see the results of this project of yours... And the ones to fix it should things go bad, heh." He offered his hand, skin dark and leathery. "Good luck."

Hybros lowers his weapons, relieved that the voyager party had made it back. "Well then, I suppose we will move on with it." He turned to Gnash and Bennetton. "I do not know who you were in your past life, but thank you for your help. I will, erm, need those items back though. I do not think they would do you much good here anyway, heheh." He turned to Arthur and Dyric. "All according to plan...?" OOC: should be back for regular posting now.

Jinnipher nods to Thormanil. "Hit things as hard as you can? Seems as good of a strategy as any. Let's see what you've got." She joins the dragoon in battle.
