  1. "I see... Such a story is familiar to me, though my people were not as fortunate to have their own land preserve on the surface to themselves. I am glad the resolution was peaceful for the elves. I would very much like to meet them, perhaps our journey will cross paths with them. As for the mother, well, I am sure most of us in Heroica can relate. Some people think we are in it for the glory, but the truth is many of us have nothing better to do, heheh!" Hybros smirked. "I see you two have already met, then." "Perhaps you would be surprised to learn that it is not Bonapartes who are keeping anything at bay..." the imp frowned. "Ehehm, speaking of your crew, I do not suppose we are the only ones on board? I would be more than a little worried if there was no one at the wheel, heheh..." He looked overboard as his dark, leathery face took on a greenish hue, if that were possible. Travelling by sea would take some getting used to after months of travel by air. At least the sky didn't have choppy waves that constantly rocked the ship.
  2. "Hm. Well as long as killing him is still at the forefront of your mind, you're okay by me." Jinnipher scowled at the new arrival, before she could even greet Hestia Bonaparte. "You had better keep flying, fallen angel. I don't take kindly to being stabbed in the back."
  3. These are great! Some of them are easier to recognize than others. Among the most spot-on ones, I instantly recognized the wildling chief, Jamie, Cersei, The Mountain, Petyr Baelish, Bronn, Brienne, Pod, the Unsullied guy, Ser Jorah, the ex-Kingsguard guy, and Sam. Tyrion needs a beard, and Jamie needs a gold hand. I'd love to see your take on Melissandre.
  4. Hybros pats himself as if to search for cards, but of course, he has none. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Captain Mumbasa. I will let Atramor do the card playing, but I was wondering - perhaps you could tell me a bit more about Heartland? I have never been there. I noticed an Elven Preserve on the map, what does that mean? Perhaps I could direct these questions to some of your crew while you concentrate on your game, heheh... And I will gladly take you up on your offer for food and drink. What do you have?"
  5. "Whatever. With any luck that dragoon would've put the boy in his place, or maybe even scared him off." Jinnipher follows Vindsval out of the building and nudges Thormanil. "You've been awfully quiet lately. I hope for your sake that Immortalis' threats haven't got the best of you." She looked at the dragoon straight-faced and with her deep, discerning almond eyes.
  6. Jinnipher rolled her eyes. "Is there no hero around these days that is not completely incompetent?" "I have all the weapons I need right here."
  7. "Ever heard of over prescription?" Jinnipher mumbled. "Well, we know where the Falconer is so lets not waste anymore time. See you around, or not."
  8. "If that's the only person around here who looks like a falcon, then yes. What is it that you do here, anyway?"
  9. "I have heard of his witch. I believe Heroica has dealt with her before, yes? I suppose that is the man you were speaking of before, Atramor. So our mission is to investigate and stop these threats. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems, for now our goal seems clear enough. I have no questions. I will be sure say hello to Sham for you, Scheherezade. It will be good to see him again... I wonder if he still has that myrthril on him?"
  10. Jinnipher inspected the shelves of flasks as she spoke. "We're looking for someone on this island, The Falconer. Do you know where she is?"
  11. "When you see enough armored muscle they all start to look the same. Or it might've been the gauntlet I took to the head. I do seem to remember a senile old man giving the battle orders. I wonder whose idea that was..." "Anyway, if this is a trap we might as well spring it. It would be better than standing out her in the rain. Let's go inside."
  12. OOC: I think Atramor should have the shared effects from the Amulet of the Court as well, unless I'm mistaken about the Soul Link Chain's ability. Hybros shared Atramor's skepticism. He had personally used the book's powers. It was strange that he had given it back at all. "We could run into any number of archdemons, perhaps all four at once. Atramor and Namyrra, I believe you both had faced two on your previous quest? Ehehm, also, a hero called the Demon Germ told me that he fought Rosier in Dastan. And I believe Thalion and Erik encountered Marilith in a school here in Eubric." "I think the Monk will have that covered, heheh." He coughs something about '72 SP'. Hybros grins. "Guts and I learned a few tricks from some swashbucklers a little while ago. They have a ship, named The Chickadee or something like that. Though I see you have no trouble dual-wielding yourself, heheh." He silently curses himself for not thinking to put his ethereal aquamarine in the Bladerang instead, before passing it and the Spinning Bolas to Atramor and the Clock Cog to Byblos. Hybros smiles as he equips the Medal of Glory in place of the Phoenix Emblem. "I am ready."
  13. Jinnipher rolled her eyes. "Alright, out with it. What's the big secret? Dragons with big egos got into an argument?" "No you don't."
  14. Hybros looks on skeptically as the pair are linked together. "Not ideal for combat, I have seen, heheh." He nods. "I wish I would have put my diamond where it might be more effective. No doubt we will need some light-elemental attacks on this quest."
  15. Hybros rested his hand on Zoot's Reaper's hilt, sheathed at his hip. "You would not be wrong in that. I think Namyrra would be the most familiar with them, though. She was inside the last archdemon we fought."
  16. "Hm. I have somewhat doubted that your mind was ever in a good state. If it was, perhaps you would be able to tell the difference between me and a real demon. Pasco sends his regards, by the way." "Namyrra, perhaps you would like to borrow this Coat Hanger and Lichen Armor? They may come in handy in a tight spot. If you would wear them in place of your Medal of Glory, may I wear it?"
  17. "I think I will hold onto these for now, but if I do not find a better use I wll be sure to let you know..."
  18. OOC: I forgot to edit out the opal in my inventory, it should belong to Eric for now. Hybros gave everyone a small wave. "It is good to be questing with you all again, er, I guess Althior for the first time. Atramor, I can barely recall our first quest, though we spoke about those Ziegfried bottles in the Hall." He noted the Pandemonicon, a book he was all too familiar with. It seemed to call out to the imp. "Er, hello Byblos. I hope that book is still in good hands. I hope you are a speedy reader too, if you will holding onto all those scrolls... heheh." Hybros raised an eyebrow. "Backstabbing? I suppose I am not surprised, Monk. I would like to hear more about how you failed your party." He made a note to keep a close eye on the artisan throughout the quest. "So, to Goetia. How will we be getting there?"
  19. Hybros grinned back. "Heh, right. Fishing. The story about the wings is a little long... but I have found others like me." He glanced at the questboard. "Such short time we always seem to have. I have been sitting around this hall for some time, if only you had returned a little sooner... Well, we will have to speak another time, heheh. I am off to fight demons." He turned to leave, but stopped short and procured his Opal and handed it to Eric. "If you ever see an assassin named Dyric, can you give this to him?" With one last check of his equipment, Hybros headed downstairs to the library.
  20. OOC: Once a red piece is on the ground, does it matter if it's crushed?
  21. "...What a bunch of senseless grumbling. Do you think that a few missing mercenaries will spell the end of the world? We can barely save our own city thanks to a bunch of rocks." Jinnipher examined the rubble with a frown as she withdrew her shovel.
  22. "I don't suppose you do well in small spaces." She called out to the Progg. "We're fine, just get us out of here." Looking around at the party, "Does anyone have a pickax? I could try digging a way under. You could move some rocks on your own, big guy." Jinnipher pokes her shovel into the dirt and tries to dig below the rocks.
  23. OOC: Jinnipher should have the dye and helmet equipped - and thus should also have her black/blue hair! "Well that was pointless. Let's get back to going to Billow."
  24. Sandy - any chance of answering Hybros in the Marketplace?
