  1. "Very soon, Tarn. After the next battle would be a good time to pick up Jun, trade items, and prepare ourselves." While he was talking Hybros fiddled around with a scroll of paper he had stuffed in his back pocket. it was something that had appeared during the battle, but he forgot about it until now. He pulled it out and opened it to read about some sort of certificate for a Red Cloak... he wondered what it could be for, briefly, then stuffed it back underneath his robe.
  2. Ooh, I love puzzles! Where'd you guys get those cool pieces? I guess def left poor Jimbee out.
  3. "Alright, Namyrra and I will search these last two trees, the rest of you move on." Hybros searches the middle tree, signaling that Namyrra should check the right, and then heads out through the next door. Same BO.

    Post your own art

Awesome stuff, def! Your latest batch of 4-panes really had me laughing. I'd say you're really improving on getting your message across. You've always been good at communicating through art (as far as I've seen since you started this thread), but to me it's becoming clearer and easier to relate with. Also, that big project you just did was very interesting. Art-wise, the order was a little hard to follow, but who knows, maybe it'd be easier for a Japanese person to read... It's fascinating what you've noticed during your time in Japan, and I'm glads you could share it in such a form. I definitely agree with you about the societal differences, where the Japanese and possibly other Asian countries are more about the group than the individual. Interesting how that is reflected in subtle things like names and addresses. I haven't ever considered how language affects our thought processes; mostly my thoughts differ than how I speak or write. And I'm thinking that you, the Canadian are the backwards one when it comes to counting off on your hand... I count like the Japanese apparently do. In any case, the comic definitely got me thinking.
  11. Well I've got a long way to go in my current quest (I don't think we'll make it back for the Wren Finale), but like swils said, so does the current FoG party. When I get back and if Erdy is still around, I'd like to go on the trip.
  12. But if you have to be level 30, which usually takes about a year and a half based on the amount we've played so far, that person would have close to 10 quests under their belt already.
  13. "Again! Cinna, Christopher, perhaps those pots have something to do with the bucket." Battle Order: Namyrra Namyrra Tarn Hybros Hybros Tesni Cinna Christopher
  14. Animals are people too, ones that I have to clean up after. Animals are people too, ones that I have to clean up after.
  15. Nice ideas, Pie. I think the Archmage's shield that you suggested is very similar if not identical to that of the Mystic Knight. While I'm at it, I figured I should suggest some names for the classes, even though it's what matters the least. I just think having the basic class name in the expert class name will often sound awkward. Besides, the names will be memorized quickly. Brute, Juggernaut (although I think a seperate EC was in the works for that) Guardian Warlock (Archmage sounds good, too) Priest, High Priest (or High Cleric if we're avoiding the use of the term "priest") Archer, Marksman Thief (Greedy Rogue or Thief Rogue sound awkward to me)
  16. "Alright, Namyrra, Tarn, Tesni, and I will focus on the Traveller. Cinna, Christopher, check those plants and the pink bucket." Hybros repeats his attack. Battle Order: Xut Cinna Namyrra Tarn Hybros Hybros Tesni Christopher Namyrra
  17. Right now, yes. And yes. But we may see other effects that make elemental specials negative. For example, a poison that makes the hero take double damage from wood.
  18. No matter what way you spin it, you're still gaining more gold with level+WP than enemy level. Yes, I know you have some convoluted strategy to gain ridiculous amounts of gold , but the reason why I warned against the Raider's shield skill is exactly what we saw with Guts in Quest 39. It's Mug plus AoE, unlike the Sorcerer's Assassin's shield skills which haven't caused a problem (or, as big of one).
  19. I do like the Arc Heal ability. It was pretty neat that Skuld had it in Quest 44, and it'd be more useful than regular healing at any rate. I think that if these Expert-Basic Classes are going to exist, they need to be powerful and unique. I think you might be underestimating the power of Mug - it's the only money-stealing ability that has not been nerfed to reflect enemy level instead of player WP+level. If I went back to basic Rogue now I'd be making way more money than as an Assassin, even without AoE. If you doubled that, we'd be looking at another Guts pre-Raider nerf.
  20. As the creator of the item, I would say it should be Fast Asleep, yes. And actually it should count as an Instrument, but it wouldn't make sense to change it now. Ultimately it's up to Sandy, though.
  21. "Eh... just let the Stalk run into Cinna's shield, hehe... Namyrra, consider using your rod and staff instead of the crossbow, so that the rod draws the Traveller's attacks." Hybros switches his target to the Traveller, aiming both his blades at him from the front row. Battle Order: Xut Cinna Namyrra Tarn Hybros Hybros Tesni Christopher Namyrra
  22. I apologize if my attitude makes you upset. And I didn't say there wouldn't be interest, I just expressed my disinterest.
  23. Well it was me, but yeah. Perhaps it wasn't the best thought-out idea I've had, since Expert versions of the BCs seem like they would be uninteresting/underpowered. AC's combine the talents of two BC's and then their own flavor (such as the ability to assassinate), and Master Classes either combine three BC's or, in the Mime's case, all six into one versatile class. I don't really see how a buffed-up version of a single BC could be somehow better or more unique than an AC or MC or even the BC at the same level. As Cornelius puts it, there's no reason to give up the cool powers of an AC, and if one wanted to retain any BC trait they lost when advancing to an AC, they could just switch back to the BC. Not that a Knight has anything better than a Paladin does, but a mug might be better than a ravage in some instances. Some people will wait until they can choose a MC just to have some desirable traits not seen in any other class. For example, Doc is planning on skipping choosing an EC so that he can go from Warden to Mime, just for the ability to use bows and shields. So, I think we could do without them, unless they were made unique from all the other levels of classes somehow. I know I would not trade Assassin for a buffed Rogue (I've even considered staying Assassin for the rest of the game, for Hybros). Some people might want that sort of thing, but I know I don't. I think the barrier would be limiting it to your original BC - you limited yourself when you chose it. So only Rogues could be the Expert Rogues, I think that's barrier enough.
