Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Three: Don't Ask Me Why
JimBee replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Alright, so the way I see it, we still lynch Scooter today. His claim is ridiculous (although thank you for clearing it up, Oscar and Cece), and I don't see the other person that is supposedly up for lynch. Well, Janice, but if Scooter is lying to begin with then he's lying about Janice... I guess I'll throw my hat in with the crowd that says to kill Janice and lynch Scooter. If there is a cult... well, I guess we'll find out. Occam's razor, I really don't see any other way to deal with this, at least not indirectly through Oscar. Er, also, what is the jailkeeper's role in all of this, if any? The protection half worked last night on Scooter, but not the block half? -

Shame about Jane. I was pretty sure she was scum based off of her response yesterday, but then, so were Oscar and the daykiller apparently. I was unfortunately too late to vote, although I do have the post saved (the day ended right before I could speak up). I will admit that I was blocked last night, although I am not your killer. All you can do is take my word for it, although the smart thing to do would be to lynch or day kill me today, even though I would prefer to be confirmed town through investigative means. But who has time for that? -

OOC: Alright, makes sense. "Alright, change of plan, eheh... Tarn, Cinna, with me. Namyrra, Tesni, Christopher, head through that door and scout ahead. We will catch up with you." Forced to the back row by the mechanical menace, Hybros continues his assault on the Nine-tailed Turtle, throwing his Bladerang and Clock Cog. Battle Order: Xut Namyrra Tesni Tesni Christopher Hybros Hybros Cinna Cinna Tarn -
But now the rabbits are gone, so he should've switched last round while he had Aura up...? Brickdoctor: Yeah, but you'd have gotten rid of those pesky birds. But what do I know, I'm just a spectator.

How come Docken hasn't put on that Marksman's Hat yet? I think he could get rid of those Aepyornis' really easily with it.

OOC: So AoE skills will affect enemies in another room, as long as there's at least one party member in it? And if there's only one hero in the room, free hits will apply to the entire party instead? -
I've never put Daggerfall at the top, simply because Guardian Angel wouldn't come into effect until the next round anyway, and we haven't had to worry about free hits yet.

"Namyrra, this aquamarine is yours as soon as we defeat these enemies." Twirling his Twin Kunai, Hybros charged at the Nine-tailed Turtle from the front row with both turns. Battle Order: Namyrra Namyrra Hybros Hybros Cinna Cinna Tesni Tesni Tarn Chrisopher OOC: Sandy, I think our number of Star Coins might be incorrect. There's 16 stars defeated, but we only have 15 coins between us. I couldn't find where that happened, is there something I'm missing? -
Some things are planned, but not until I get some stuff sorted out IRL first.

Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
JimBee replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Very interesting indeed. I am a bit worried that the "vig" seems to be under Oscar's command. Maybe Oscar is the vig. But how could such a cute wittle thing do this? Oh right he's also very sassy. Can't say I'm not grateful it wasn't me killed today, though, and I would agree that Jane was as good of a target as any (well, more than that...). Now who do we vote for? Walter, with the claim that he was blocked? Daisy, with the spectacles? It's all a bit jumbled in my head right now, so I'll have to think things over before I come to a decision. -

JimBee replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Please pay attention. When I say "Oscar told the vig", that's what he did. He said "vig, please kill Jane today." This does not mean that I think or know that the day killer is a vig. I simply mean that Oscar told who he thinks is the vig to kill Jane. Is that clear to you? -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
JimBee replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Er, are you talking to me? Oscar is the one thinking it's the vig. Because obviously on a bandwagon for a townie there's going to be scum. And Jane's response was very typical of a scum trying to nonchalantly hop on the bandwagon. -

JimBee replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Nervous? Have I not been as open about all this as possible? I honestly don't see how I'm "under scrutiny" here. If anything, people are following you around like sheep and should be putting you under scrutiny. You're entitled to your own opinion of course, even though it's wrong. In all seriousness, though, there's a huge gap in your logic. I'll lay it out for everyone to see easily, since many people are saying "oh yeah I agree with the points on Jimmy", sheeple. - You first are so curious as to why I find Jane suspicious. You bug me in PM, I answer you, then you bug me again in public. If you're trying to poke me to see if my reaction will be scummy, there you have it. I'm not trying to hide anything, and I think I've answered your questions pretty clearly. Heck, you can even use your sprinkle cookie cake lunch thing to test me, if you want: I'm aligned with the town. Oh, I see that it doesn't work that way... - I fully and clearly explain to you why I think (or "am pretty sure", if you prefer) that Jane is scum. I will reillustrate those points now: 1. Her lazy response to another lazy response. Seems scummy to me. 2. I am absolutely certain that there were scum on the bandwagon yesterday. The number show it, logic shows it. Out of the possible scum, Jane is definitely my top suspect. 3. She still has not spoken up today, perhaps she is consulting with her scum buddies. - Yes, I am pretty sure that Jane is scum. You put me "under scrutiny" for simply saying this, yet (and here's the most important point folks, make sure you read this) you told the vig to kill her today. Sounds like you have "more than just suspicions", to me, if you're suggesting a vig kill. Seriously, is no one else seeing the fallacies and gap in this logic? My case against Jane somehow makes no sense and makes me suspicious, yet Oscar's identical reasoning that he provided after mine is good grounds for a vig kill? Read the points above, people. If you're just siding with Oscar because he seems to be a good town "leader", or for whatever reasons you have that do not involve being informed, then we might as well just give up right now. And now you're just throwing out names for the vig. And I'll bet that they listen. Hey vig, you should probably aim for Oscar or maybe Carl because I happen to disagree with them. Yeah, they don't make too much sense so yeah probably kill them. I don't want to consider anything other than my own thoughts. Kthx. I deserve scrutiny right now? Again, have I not been as clear and forthcoming as possible about answering all of your questions? Conversely, you have not really closed that logical gap of yours, yet you continue on in that manipulative tone. If someone really did investigate you, fine, but that's an easy claim for anyone. I'm still very suspicious of you and think you also "deserve scrutiny". To clarify, I also had a ham sandwich with the thief ability. Carl, you have definitely pinged my radar as well, with the reasons you suspect me. All of it is very deceptive, and you've taken a lot of what I've said out of context. Yes, so? I'm open to all explanations (unlike Oscar before...), and I shared one theory. That does not seem scummy to me. I always use Occam's razor. I don't disagree with you that there are many complexities to consider, but that the day killer is the scum killer was my own theory. Again, I am open to believing it was the vig or SK or what have you, and I was simply urging Oscar to be more open to the possibility. Again, he sounded very certain that the day killer was the vig, and originally refused to even consider anything else. Seems very suspicious to me. This I agree with, and perhaps that was reckless of me. Still, if there was a way to reveal the blocked person (such as Oscar's note today, what a weird coincidence...) without revealing the blocker's identity, that would be ideal. Far more likely? Um, where are you basing that off of? If you just assume Jane is a lazy townie, then we're doomed. Or, you're scum. Ping. I'm not really making too much sense of this, but from what I understand, you're saying that I would be safer agreeing with Oscar's suspicions? If so, then again... I was the first one to fully explain why I suspected Jane, as per Oscar's request. When I asked Oscar the same question, his suspicions were the same as mine. So, I'm a little confused as to why you would accuse me of "going along with the crowd" here, when it is in fact Oscar who is subtly avoiding presenting anything new as far as anything concerning Jane. Exactly, now apply that logic to Oscar as well. Again, our conclusion really aren't that different. Actually his would be the more extreme, suggesting the vig kill Jane today. Yes. No. You completely took that out of context. I have the benefit of the doubt that I wasn't clear enough, but since you seem to be taking a lot of what I'm saying out of context, I'll assume the same here. I was referring to the "day killer vig" as in Oscar's point of view. When I say "Oscar told the vig to kill Jane", I still am not sure that the day killer is in fact the vig (although again, I'm open to the possibility), and I am referring to the vig as this person that Oscar assumes is the vig. Now, as for this information brought up on Walter, good to know. I will check into later, though, I need a break after all that talking. -

I was surprised, too. Since there seems to be some controversy around this, and it's not hugely substantial to the town's victory, I'll put this out there: my lunch action, that I did not use and was stolen, was also a thief action. I am town and therefore can say that the thief lunch is not exclusively a scum action, but of course you can only take my word for that. It also appears that the police chief lady's lunch was stolen... are we all thieves? Alright then, glad to see you come around and explain your reasoning a little more, and at least considering other possibilities. So you're reasons are basically the same as mine. So why were you having such a hard time seeing why I suspected Jane? It's a disconnect in my reasoning, yet tgood reason for a vig kill based on your identical reasoning? You're acting weird, Oscar. -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
JimBee replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm insisting that you consider it a possibility. Right now you "refuse to believe" that there's a scum day killer. So you're insisting, as well. I just don't understand the certainty you have about the day killer. Having a theory is one thing, but "refuse to believe"? It make me think that you know something I don't. I do recognize that others have presented their theories as just that - theories, about the day killer. So my "insisting" is not all-inclusive and pertains more to Oscar and perhaps Dansmith, who seem to be pretty sure that they're right... that's just my sense of it, though. Okay, then I was mistaken. You did say that she gave you her lunch, I must have made the connection somewhere that it was sprinkles. I'll have to check my facts later, I'm sick from all this horseshit (literally) and need sleep. Defensive? I was simply answering your question, to elaborate on why I think Jane is scum. Yes, you are latching onto two words, and you still haven't answered why you think Jane is suspicious. After all, you're the one who told the vig to kill her today, so there must be a damn good reason that I apparently have not illustrated yet. Oh, and thank you Dansmith for providing your detailed reasons on believing that the day killer was scum. I take back what I said about your baseless claim earlier. -
I think there was one more thing that I said I would think about changing as per your request, Sandy, but never came to a conclusion. I will PM you soon will final (?) details... I'm also thrilled that Xander is going Winged Warrior (uh, if it gets approved), posades, as well as the possibility of De'kra becoming one. It's good to know that the class will be put to good use. Speaking of which, I would like to see some of Waterbrick Down's classes approved. I have at least considered going Slayer, but all of them are pretty neat and could see a few characters fitting into them.

Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Two: Flagpole Sitta
JimBee replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Umm... how does it not make sense? Just because it hasn't happened in previous games... of life doesn't mean it will never happen. If you have that mentality about these types of situations then how can anything ever be possible? I suggest you consult the 'day killer' entry on the encyclopedia for these games... of life. And why would that surprise you? Why have you been assuming that the target was blocked or protected? It's the simplest solution (something about a razor...) to assume that there was a scum day kill. I'm not saying that there's no possibility of the day killer being the vig, I just think it's strange that that we had no kill last night. Yes, block/protect/conversion are possibilities, but the likelihood that one of those people chose wisely is very slim. And if it was our blocker, then I hope he or she can come forward with whoever they blocked so we can lynch the killer. Preferably without revealing their role, but results are results... Refuse to believe? Now that's close-minded. We must consider all possibilities, and if we can't do that we might as well be doomed... I've noticed that quite a few of you are quick to automatically dismiss even the slightest possibility of the day killer being scum.... No, you told me in private that Trisha gave you her sprinkled cupcake. Did you mention cookies yesterday in public? I must have misunderstood, and thought you were referring to Trisha's lunch. I will have to go back to confirm this. Shadell, I'm not so sure about putting all of our lunches on the table, so to speak. We are at an advantage now, you're correct, but doing what you suggest seems like an easy way for the scum to get all of the info quickly, as well... Don't put words into my mouth, I said I was fairly sure that Jane was scum. And why are you calling me out on this now? I was agreeing with one of your suspects that you told me in private. Heck, I don't even need the private conversation as proof, you said today, right here, that the day killer vig should aim for Jane. What makes me suspicious of Jane? I'll ask you the same question. But since you asked first: As I said before, Jane's lazy response is an indicator to me of scummy behavior. She literally picked the response before her (which was lazy and didn't add much to the conversation to begin with), and simply said "yeah I agree", and voted. Considering the fact that Trisha was town, I'm more than certain there were at least some scum on the bandwagon yesterday. This response struck me as particularly scummy. -

JimBee replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well that sucks, but like I said, scum or dumb. Trisha was as much of a hindrance to the town as she would have been as an evil horse killer. If we hadn't lynched her yesterday, we'd still be wondering and wasting our time with her today. What makes you assume it's the vig that's been day killing? We obviously didn't have a scum kill (or any kill) last night, so I'm led to assume that the scum killer is a day killer. Unless you know something we don't, Oscar? I do agree with you about Jane, though. If I recall correctly, she made only one or two responses yesterday. When she voted for Trisha, her basis was agreeing with something Zara said, which had little substance itself. Jane said something along the lines of "yeah, I agree with what this person right before me said" (I will find the actual quote later). In other news, my lunch that I was saving got stolen last night. Yes, I had a lunch. Had. Who would steal from a kid, though? People these days... Hey, wait, how does Oscar have two lunches? Yesterday he seemed pretty confused at the whole lunch concept. Trisha did give him one, but what about the second one that he claims to have? That wouldn't happen to be from yesterday, would it Oscar? Or did you somehow manage to get someone else to give you their lunch, too? -

Then my suggestion to you would be to listen to God's words a little more carefully, or stop lying through your teeth. The town cannot afford any mistakes like that, and it's your fault for these repeated "misunderstandings". How can we not act on that? How can we simply ignore such a "misunderstanding", or possibly slip-up on Day 1? In any case you're a hindrance to the town and I would rather risk lynching a schizo today (a helpful town role, if you're telling the truth, but also potentially a neutral role...) than letting a scum go today. You're partially right that you would be a priority target for the scum - if you were telling the truth. But now that you said that, a smart scum move would be to not kill you and waste the next day by inciting the claim "oh, he's not dead, must be scum". I would rather get to the bottom of this today than waste that day by lynching you now. I don't want to be left wondering at your allegiance, and any potential usefulness you had with your role has been tarnished by your carelessness. -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day One: Heart to Heart
JimBee replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yeah, really. I'm with the talking horse, Dansmith, on this one. Seriously? I'm willing to stretch a little bit for "noob" but this is nothing but a classic case of scum or dumb. It's beyond that even, Trisha's claims sound more to me like a fumbled scum attempt to cover up her previous mistake than anything noobish. Is anyone else reminded of the snake charmer psychiatrist from that one story...? Scum tend to resort to those kind of ridiculous claims when on the chopping block... Just so I have this straight, so far Trisha has claimed: - Lie-detector - Having a "lunch" that provides a lie-detector ability - That Fred gave the lunch to Trisha - That Trisha offered the lunch to Fred... - She's really a schizo and never had a lie-detector lunch Sound about right?
