I built it this afternoon but it's much more fragile and flimsy than I expected, unfortunately. The roof breaks when I try to open it and the back panel keeps falling off. Oh, well, I'll just re-build my MOD. Thanks again for sharing the design, though

Damn! I was looking forward to this set being OT and unappealing so I didn't have to buy it and could save my money but it's not, it's great! I hope it's not too expensive as it doesn't look very big. The fig selection is great and I will probably pick this up too. I just hope the Falcon's no good.

Okay! I was just going by what pr0visorak said above. It was only a suggestion, not the exact plan. A simple "thanks for the link" will do, rather than that attitude. EDIT: Having just watched the Blue Shadow Virus trailer after The Hidden Enemy, it says the series is almost over with 6 weeks left. With next weeks being one and the Ryloth Trilogy being a possible three, there is likely to be another episode some time.

You know what I mean! Like the Imperial Star Destroyer set with minifigs, not like the 'UCS' one. It's more likely to be the Pirate Tank as the vote was on the Toys'R'Us website so Home One is probably going to be a Toys'R'Us exclusive.

Thank you everyone for your posts! I would not recommend spending this much money on it. In my opinion, it is by far not the best set upto now and maybe no higher than $120 should be spent on this set, but that's just my opinion. If you really want it then you should buy it, even if the competition is strong. I got a great deal and I would advise you to look around a lot for this set as it can be bought for less.

Which Jedi, Sith or other do you want the most?
ADHO15 replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't think so. Two members of the 7th Sky Corps were included but not Gree. He has completely different Phase 2 armour. I share your ideas here. There are many Jedi like these who should be released. I'm not a fan of EU, but there aren't any more movie Sith to be released in LEGO so why not? -
The Venator? Have you not seen the pics and discussions or am I missing something?

(10.02.09) This is my sixth review. It features: Product: 7171 Mos Espa Podrace Theme: Star Wars No of pieces: 894 Release Date: 1999 RRP: USD $90.00 Featured Episodes: TPM Lego "Shop at Home" Catalog Description This is a huge set, the biggest of the year, I think. It is expensive but you get lots for your money, as you can see. And here is the upcoming 2011 Summer Podracing set 7962 Anakin's and Sebulba's Podracers for comparison. There are 11 figs in the set, 4 of which are unique: Gasgano, Sebulba and their pit droids. Padmé, pilot Anakin and his pit droid can only be bought in the smaller 7131 Anakin's Podracer set. Qui-Gon, Jar Jar and R2 can be bought in other sets. These are the three pit droids. The mostly brown one is Sebulba's, the mostly white one is Gasgano's (should have brown arms, lost them) and the mixed one is Ani's. Gasgano is an usual design made of 8 bricks. The head has a special print. He came second in the podrace if you didn't know who he is. Sebulba is just one piece without much design. You should know who this is if you watched the podrace. There are two service stations with flags and a stand with flag included too. I have lost Gasgano's green and black flags as well as Anakin's blue flag. There are four tools on each station that the pit droids can use to repair the vehicles. Anakin can sit in the cockpit and pilot his vehicle. Notice the printing on the front and side to give it detail. A side-view of the podracer showing the frame underneath to hold it together. The engine flaps can be opened for playability (not much). You can see the 'power couplings' hold the engines to the frame. This is Gasgano's podracer. It is relatively movie-accurately designed and coloured. It is about the same size as Sebulba's and bigger than Anakin's. Gasgano can sit in the cokpit to pilot his racer. There are printed bricks on either side with his logo on. A side-view of the pod. The frames underneath have holes in to make them lighter and cheaper. The engines are quite large and colourful. The black flaps on the sides can open to reveal... Chainsaws to attack the other pods. Sebulba's pod is slightly the biggest and also has some small playability functions. There are several printed bricks on the cockpit to give it detail as well as saws on the sides to attack the other racers. Sebulba can sit inside to man the (lost) controls. (It was only a 2x1 brick with a handle on one side, like Gasgano holds) The sides of the engines also have detailed printed pieces. These can open to reveal flamethrowers as seen in the deleted scenes. The flaps on the engines are printed and there are printed bricks with his logo on too. Sebulba, being the cheat he is, has more saws in his arsenal that are mounted on the front. I think this is a great set that has a lot of appeal to kids for its playability and to reenact one of the most exciting parts of TPM. The designs are no where near as good as modern designs and if this set was to be remade, it would no doubt look a lot better. I picked this set up on Ebay for a mere £30, completed and in great condition. A downside would be their awkward shape which makes them difficult to display and/or store. I would recommend it if you are a PT fan who doesn't already own it. Design: 9/10 - The podracers look very accurate as do the minifigs. The vehicles are coloured correctly and well-made. Minifigs: 8/10 - A good selection of minifigs with a unique Gasgano and Sebulba as well as their podracers. Also, the podrace sets are the only ones to include Padmé. Playability: 9/10 - This set includes many functions like tools to service the vehicles as well as 3 vehicles with small features. Swooshability: 9/10 - The podracers are sturdy and easy to swoosh thanks to the frame. The heavier ones are less stable. Overall: 8.75/10 - An accurate calculated score. See the gallery here. Any questions or comments are welcome. KimT, you can add it to the index if you like. I made it to fill the gap. Also, you may add a vote to it and give any more suggestions.

Was that not just and AT-RT?

I think it has been confirmed we are getting a Home One set but we have no pictures as of yet. Just a description about a hangar with an A-wing and a control room. We are getting a minifig-scaled Republic Cruiser. I like your other ideas, though.
-
I think there's 100 episodes planned to be released which works out to be four series of 25 episodes as the Ryloth trilogy is the last in the current series.
-
Thanks so much for the instructions. I will have a go at building it now.
-
I agree but it is easier for people like me who only really check the SW topics to have a little notice here too. Never mind. Here's a Youtube link that plays better for me than starwars.com does. EDIT: It looks good. We see Ahsoka in her fighter and also Mace Windu in action at last!
-
I will: could you post a link so lazy people like me don't have to go looking for it? I'll go have a look now. Thanks for the info!
-
Wow! That's an amazing MOC. Very well done.
-
I sort of agree. I think it is a basic set and some playability function would help it sell better (even if it is just flick-fire missiles). The 'premake' set included a spider droid and a Wookiee ornithopter as well.
-
That looks great! An alternative to my MOC that I posted. Could you take more pictures during building so we can see how to make it? I would love to have a go.
-
The one in the Wookiee Attack had a track that ran round the body of the droid that turned on rough surfaces (it just slid across wood). Also, the disks rotated backwards to reveal a seat for a battle droid inside. Nothing too special really. Hope this helped!

Thanks you very much for the great info Sir von Lego! Could you tell me what the interior of the Venator is like and what functions the Y-wing and Snail Tank have?

(07.02.09) This is my fifth review. It features: Product: 7131 Anakin’s Podracer Theme: Star Wars No of pieces: 134 Release Date: 1999 RRP: USD $14.99 Featured Episodes: TPM Lego "Shop at Home" Catalog Description The set is a basic one that only includes the podracer, flag and three figs. Three minifigs are included in the set: Anakin, Padmé and a pit droid. Anakin is a bit tall for a boy. A small stand with a flag is included too. There should be a yellow and a blue flag but I lost the blue one. Padmé watches Anakin pass during the race. The pit droid can be folded up as seen in this picture. If you were wanting to recreate the podrace by buying this set and the 7171 Mos Espa Podrace, my advice would be don't. Everything you can see in this set can be found in the Podrace set, plus more. TLG made this set as a way to get an essential vehicle and characters without paying $90 dollars for 7171. I will review 7171 soon so keep an eye out for more details on that set. I recieved this set when I was younger and less-organised, disassembled it and lost most of the pieces! I later bought the 7171 set on Ebay. Design: 7/10 - An accurate representation but it does, like all old sets, include odd-coloured pieces and a frame underneath. Minifigs: 5/10 - Only three figs included that are rare but can be bought in 7171. Playability: 6/10 - The main factor for this set is swooshing the vehicle but you could also 'service' the vehicle with the droid. Swooshability: 9/10 - The podracer is sturdy and easy to swoosh thanks to the frame. Overall: 6.75/10 - An accurate calculated score. See the gallery here. KimT, you can add it to the index if you like. I made it to fill the gap. Also, you may add a vote to it and give any more suggestions.

Where did you get that information from? I thought we were getting a guaranteed two clone troopers and at least one of them has a jetpack.
-
I did semi-clean this up with picture comparison evidence but I guess this sort of confirms it. I think it includes two battle droids and a pilot as the only thing to suggest otherwise is one picture from the Toy Fair (which wasn't the most well-organized event I've seen, at all ) but he could have just come from another set.
-
Good find! It looks like a good MOC and it has instructions on how to build it. I'll have a go later on. Thanks.
-
The three UCS sets you have mentioned also come with minifigs. UCS or Ultimate Collector Series is for Ultimate Collectors: people with lots of money (not normally kids) to spend on LEGO that are £100 +. I don't think the fact minifigs are or aren't included is relevant.

(04.02.09) This is my fourth review. It features: Product: 10131 TIE Fighter Collection Theme: Star Wars No of pieces: 682 Release Date: 2002 RRP: USD $69.99 Featured Episodes: ANH/EU Lego "Shop at Home" Catalog Description The set. It includes two standard TIE Fighters, a TIE Advanced x1 and a Droid TIE Fighter that wasn't featured in ANH. These are the figs involved: Darth Vader, two TIE Pilots and a unique droid brain. The pilots didn't have weapons like they do in new sets. The 'wing' of each fighter has the Imperial logo in the centre. It is quite detailed. The front of the ship and cockpit can be seen in this picture. The back and top of the TIE Fighter. The TIE Pilot in the cockpit. He has a small control panel in front of him. The TIE Advanced x1 belonging to the Dark Lord of the Sith himself... Darth Vader. He's using force choke on you! The back and top of the TIE Advanced x1 is accurate and detailed. The Droid TIE Fighter looks very good for a little-known vehicle at the time. The back of the Droid TIE Fighter. The droid brain fits in the small cockpit in the top. I like this set a lot and is worth the money. It has an good price/parts ratio. The fighters are similar if not the same as the individual ones in other sets, apart from the Droid TIE Fighter that is unique to this set (I think, I don't have individual ones). The TIE Advanced x1 doesn't look as this years redesign which has probably lowered the amount it's worth. Design: 8/10 - All the fighters looks very accurate, apart from, of course, the blue on each one that is not canon but makes them a bit more colourful. Minifigs: 7/10 - Good, appropriate figs included with one unique droid. The others can be bought in other sets. Playability: 8/10 - An excellent set to play with. Each fighter has an opening cockpit and can be swooshed about. Swooshability: 9/10 - The fighters are sturdy and easy to fly around. Overall: 8/10 - An accurate calculated score. See the gallery here. KimT, you can add it to the index if you like. I made it to fill the gap. Also, you may add a vote to it and give any more suggestions.
