Looking at instructions for SW set 75094. Lego has started to draw the slots in the Technic beams again. Not checked the other instructions... because Lego took them offline again. But I also checked the Ferris Wheel instructions where I notice the same thing (although they forgot the blue 5L beams). Lego omitted these slots a few years ago so kids could read them more easily but to me it always looked ugly. They found a compromise. In the boxes that show the parts needed for each step and in the 1:1 views the beams are shown without slots. Best of both worlds and I hope they will continue with this process. Here is the link to the instructions of set 75094: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6131099.pdf Update: instructions are back online. Set 75106 has the old way of drawing. The overall resolution of the instructions also has improved! Thanks Lego!

I stumbled upon this by accident. Guess the Ferris Wheel has a long history. I love it how much it looks like the current one.

BrickLinking (another) 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon
merman replied to Lobot's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I finished my Bricklinked Falcon today. Total costa were about €815. Amazing model. Love it! I did some concessions (black/grey levers, 6L bars, black 5x5 Technic pieces, unprinted radar dish, blue 3L Technic pins), but all new parts...- 290 replies

One thing that may justify the price: it has 527 different parts (if I counted correctly). I alway heard the more different parts the more difficult the set is to produce. The Simpsons House already had an astonishig amount of different pieces, but this one is even more extreme...

62 stickers! For this price we needed more printed parts. Even Jasper is a sticker and we all know how annoying those transparent stickers are!

BrickLinking (another) 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon
merman replied to Lobot's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I started Bricklinking it too. Was intending to do it with one huge order a month, but this is addictive, so no way of sticking to my promise. I have about 950 parts to go and paid about €500 so far including shipping (I also used €30 worth of VIP points). Some of the rare pieces are yet to come but some are already in the pocket. Some parts are actually a lot cheaper at Lego like the dark greay Technic beams, some wedged pieces and slopes. I felt guilty about the amount of money I spent, but now that the first parts are coming it it gets less surreal and just fun! All I did so far was looking at digital imaged of Lego parts on BL... If Lego is every going to rerelease this set (I asked them many time), I am going to strangle someone in Billund... (BTW I have brand new sealed 10225 for sale to cover the costs of the Falcon)- 290 replies

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
merman replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
How well did 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon sell? Considering a new movie is there any chance of a rerelease? Will the Death Star 10188 retire soon and what set will replace it? I heard rumors of a UCS AT-AT. -
So how can the roof fit? I don't see tiles on the brown slopes.

This does not look like a €200/$200 set...

So can anyone post the partlist please?
-
It can be pre-ordered????!!!! Wasn't it supposed to be early access for VIP's? It will be shipped March 1st. Ordered it anyway...
-
can anyone post the pages with the parts?
-
I wish more boxes were foldable like with the exclusives. Some Technic sets nowadays have a foldable box but for the flapped flagship boxes it will be harder (but it is not impossible!)

42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245

Am I the only one believing the wheel rims are white? -
Love it! But the wheels seem either a tid too small or the distance above the front wheels is too big...
-
Looks like a section of the boom can be removed. Check the parts attached with bush-pins and the diagonal black support inside.
-
Could it be the light blue gearrack has this color because it is not 13 or 7 studs wide but maybe 11, 15 or 9? Would make sense considering the color coding of axles and beams.
-
It does not look awful to me. Just rather bland. And the grill is too messy and bulky...
-
Front consists of a white 3x11 panel and three rows of plates that have clip plates and regular 1x1 plates alternated. The bottom row is tilted downwards, It looks too wide and it has one row less than the actual Arocs. If something will be changed in the design it will most definitely be the overall front look of the truck. Describing what you see and sharing a pic are two different things.
-
Well like 8258 it is hard to judge the length from the pic. the tipper or bed (not sure it can actually tip) has a length of 3 11x5 panels. And the crane seems to have a new red bracket part, but this also may be the bluryness of the picture. Like somethimg can slide in it. Maybe a pneumatic cyllinder is hidden in it to make it extend. That would make sense because I only count 3 cyllinders and it should have 4. Unless the tipper has one too.
-
Well, the front of the truck looks rather meeeh... I sincerely doubt it has suspension even though the mudguards begin above the wheels... And it seem to have 3 types of pneumatic cyllinders: 2 XL's (about 2.5-3 studs longer than the regular ones), a regular one and a small one. And no yellow LA's unless they started to use pneumatic tubes for LA's all of a sudden. The color scheme is a bit boring. Something tells me this is not final.
