Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
merman replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
About that ‘teaser’ video. It does include a dark yellow 1x1x2/3 brick that has not been released yet in this color. Of course this video is all rendered bur still an odd choice to use a not existing brick. -
Renders have to be accurate otherwise they are misleading
-
I was staring at the official images of the new Gringotts sets and there was something off. Then it struck me: the backside of the plates do not show the inside of the studs. from the underside they all look like big tiles renders can be so accurate, so wht this huge error?

Does anyone know how well the set sells at the Lego Store? I went to mine and not many were sold it seems. -

Sariel actually posed a video online just now. It has a new 24t red clutch gear, a new 2L driving ring, a new 8t selection gear and driving ring holder. but he took the video offline. I think he was too soon. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Two questions: - the sets shows part 1745 (half circle jumper plate) in light bluish grey where it was only released in red before - my insta briefly showed a message from someone about the new modular it started with: in a disappointing and surprising move Lego has… and then the post was gone because Insta refreshed and I can not longer find it. I could not read the whole message. Anyone knows? -
Some years ago I saw an amazing MOC on Flickr. If I recall well it consisted of a cabin covered in snow. It was Asian/Japanese style, not in architecture but more in vibe. It had an icy river with a fisherman and I think a dog/husky. I have been looking for this MOC for quite some time but never managed to trace it. It had an amazing chilly atmosphere. Google search and Flickr search led to nothing. Does it ring a bell for anyone?

Who has one unused? price I am sure we can agree on.

TLG is continuously changing the place where mould/injection marks are located. This occurs especiallt with plates most recently, the mould marks of these parts have changed from the stud to the sides. https://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/PN/11/4085d.png https://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/PN/86/44861.png and with this part the mark has become much more prominent: https://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/PN/2/15712.png does anyone know why this has changed? Isn’t a mark on a stud always preferable over a mark on a flat edge? is it really that cheaper produce this way? It just looks really ugle and unnecessary and hopefully this is not a new development to cut costs

So what is the reason this set is so poorly avalaible when the AT-AT is not?

[REVIEW] 42130 - BMW M1000RR K66
merman replied to Milan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
As far as I know there is no difference between the side with the number and the opposite side. Both sides are equal, so the part is symmetrical at the sides where the round hole is. -

With the instructions being published today, does anyone have any idea what is the deal with step 320? Why should the numbers on the axle connectors line up other than estatic reasons? -
Does anyone have a list or picture of the spare parts?
-
I actually built this subassembly. I did manage to take it apart again but it does take some bending and force to get a bit of the axle to stick out so you can grab the stop part of the axle with your fingernail. Not the right way to go, Lego.
-
I also informed lego. Their reply: try using a brick separator. Really?
-
Can you use a 5L axle with stop as wel?
-
Good suggestion! And you can be all lightly about it but this is a €800 set and I don’t think many people will realize you cannot take it apart if you follow the instructions
-
Sorry could not post pictures here. I take my models apart after a while and this is a huge building error.
-
See step 131 of the first booklet. There is no way you can get this axle out!!!
-
I am currently building it. Am I the only one who has major issues with the back hatch/ramp? It is only stuck at 2 studs but it keeps falling down all the time. Gravity wins from clutch power. I am surprised no review speaks of this issue.

Just finished building the Police Station and something struck me: there are no Technic pins sticking out on the sides. Could this be a sign this is the last Modular? It is the only set that does not include the pins. It does have the Technic bricks with holes on the side however.
