    I had a small conversation on Twitter with Marcos Bessa (himself being part of the community just like Jamie Berard) regarding LGBTQ+-representation in sets. TLG, as the biggest toy company in the world, is not prepared to make a stance on this. Bessa’s reply was a vague one: with a bit of imagination you could see two female figs with a baby as being a love couple. It would make such a big difference if they’d release a groom-groom or bride-bride set.

    The new road-system does not make use of baseplates anymore. The leaked picture of an upcoming set shows bricks where baseplates would be more common All modern sets use large 16x16 plates in stead of baseplates so question is; is Lego now phasing out baseplates? Would be a big issue with the modulars, of which the old ones are bulld on baseplates and therefore half a plate lower than buildings built on regular plates. Impossible to connect and the sidewalk tiles no longer line up. and most importantly: how do we feel about baseplates disappearing?

    Just finished building it. Am I the only one experiencing a small 1 sec stop when shifting from the 2nd to the 3rd gear? also my copy lacked three parts: a blue axle pin, a pin with bush and a black 3x3 T-beam. Actually in stead of that beam I had an extra 2x4 L-beam. How weird.

    Ok, I am building the set right now but ever since the testing steps in the in instructions I’ve been having trouble making the thing work properly. i guess the orange beam (see picture) should be perfectly horizontal or vertical but it hardly ever isn’t. There always seems to be a tooth off of the 24t gear. When I try to fix this by adjusting the gear there seems to arise another problem. There is a calibration button in the app but that doesn’t fix the issue either. thing is: calibration works but as soon as I lift the grey stop beam, the orange beam is off one tooth. Result: the long axle making the keys move won’t rotate when I play a song. also: the smarthub keeps on lighting up in orange and blue. who can help?

    The white baseplate is coming back at the end of this year. Could it be related to the new Modular?

    Have just built mine I thought I had made a mistake. The fake motor hardly moved and i did not see many differences in the different gears. i took it apart and did not find any mistakes. Still, the fake engine moves very slowly. Does anyone have the same issue?

    You write the long sides of the ship are mirrored. They are not. They are completely identical, but one side is rotated 180 degrees.

    Just called them. Harley is available around 10am CET. Have them a polite piece of my mind regarding the new VIP program. They wanted to make things fairer by giving pounds the same value as euros in VIP points. Yet they still think it is fair sets in Germany are cheaper than in other countries, like Holland.

    This system is a mess. Safari on my iPhone doesn’t keep me logged on for the VIP program so I have to keep on signing up. If I do so I keep on getting back to the signing up page. Only managed to see my points once and it still doesn’t see me as logged in for the program. Also: having to buy 3 €5 vouchers with 3 codes for a €15 discount is so much hassle.

    Just having received this set for review purposes I can confirm the orange used for most of the liftarms and panels is what Lego calls Flame Yellow Orange. BL calls it Bright Yellow Orange. It is the same orange used in the Voltron Ideas set.
