  1. *cues Willy Wonka music* "I've got a redened ticket..." Okay - that was bad.
  2. Yeah - I'm counting on that as well. Pick up a few BP's, some P-A-B cups, and the Castle Marketplace and I'll be all set!! EDIT - Oh wow...I just realized the funds involved in my "planned" purchases...
  3. Interesting find...? Whilst perusing BS and checking out the ladies, I was trying to get sneaks of anything else new. Wooden tub? I know this isn't specifically based on the new Marketplace, but look beyond the girls - the cow is drinking out of what looks to me like an elongated basket. If its already been found, then kindly disregard.
  4. I don't know about that... The only 2 I wanted were Bats and the Joker. I got the Bats, but I was only able to get a Joker piece after hitting my 6th McD's! When I thanked the lady for getting it, she said that folks have been buying whole sets (in multiples) at once. I've seen them go on Ebay for decent money as well.
  5. Hey! Marge Simpson is too a real woman! I can't wait for these. I always envision my castle having a slew of ladies walking around.
  6. Man-o-man!!!!!! That Troll hag/witch/queen is sweet! And the Mermaid...*drools*
  7. Very nicely done and accurate! I'm one of those folks that is able to make a couple trips "out and about" in search of goodies (and not just Lego...) a couple times per week. There are few if any tips I might add...the only one that comes to mind right away is checking different kinds of stores. I used to find Lego sets in "Music and Entertainment stores" such as Media Play, Suncoast, etc.
  8. Hello! Birthday present to me - yeah, yeah, yeah!!!!
  9. Wow!!!!! So awesome! I can't wait for this set.
  10. Yeah - I've been playing with it and building for as long as I can remember. Mostly Police (mine), Fire (brother's), and Castle (both of ours...). As an aside, the SW sets in '99(?) are what actually brought me out of the "Dark Ages".
  11. Is it the TLC not shipping product to a specific country? Or is it the various stores in each country that determines whether or not they'll stock the sets? I'd sure hope that the TLC would gladly ship their product to any store in any country that wanted it, but I know (granted, not from personal experience) that stores have buyers who might dictate whether or not a store even stocks a specific item. Mayeb the lack of availability simply stems from a buyer not knowing if a product will make money for the store.
  12. To all the naysayers out there regarding these *ahem* toys... There is an upside for some folks - there is a Lego: Bats character code on each piece for use in the game giving one "free stuff" in the form different characters, vehicles, and different costumes. The game is awesome!! Its def better to be a villain, IMO.
  13. I was hoping for mine today as well, but was gone until 3pm. Maybe the UPS guy tried to drop it off and I wasn't home... I ain't goin' anywheres tomorrow!!
  14. I think Bellville is more unique (like Castle), whereas, the "normal" Advent calender sets are typically the same MF's year after year with different items or different variations on the same item idea. The Advent calenders are neat gifts to be sure, but IMO, they're too mediocre. I wish I could get a Bellville Calender...
  15. Awesome!! Thanks. I can't wait for my kids to see these!
  16. Well, we "got lucky" then... I certainly appreciate the fact that they gave us (USA) the chance to get these sets - TLC could have easily made no mention of it and shipped the merchandise back to whence they came.
  17. If that's not a scam, then I'll eat a Lego skeleton MF... I hope you also reported this to spoof@Ebay.com if they found you through Ebay. Thanks for the heads-up.
  18. It wasn't the price, it was the availability... Originally, these sets were only going to be avail. outside the U.S. Now we (Americans) have a slight reprieve. I was simply curious as to the sets not avail to Euros, etc, but as was stated above, there is another topic dealing with it. I just hope folks who want them were able to order them...anyone have a "# left in stock"? I know earlier in the day, it was 900+.
  19. I keep hearing this, but have never asked, so I'll ask now... Can you give some examples of the sets/ lines that aren't available in Europe?
  20. Yeah - mass hysteria over the 3-for-2 Stormtroops and Rebel Scum battle packs is just what TRU wants... I actually found a Skeleton Prison Wagon(!), so I added in 2 Troll Assault Wagons!!
  21. I'd go with the witch. Overall, better looking outfit IMO.
  22. I just ordered 2 sets...I hope they fix the probs before they show next week. Doesn't sound like the probs are anything huge, but still...I've never had anything wrong with a Lego set and I don't wanna start now!
  23. Got mine! Bastards wouldn't let me use my $5.00 off coupon though... J/K Thanks EB! You're the best website as far as you know! And thanks to you as well Lego! 'Course, between the 3-for-2 sale @ TRU and now 2 calenders, my wallet is hurtin'!!
  24. Part of the original magic of Disney was that there were only 2 places to go to get the stuff - Cal or Fla. Disney was (and still is) a fairly expensive store, IMO, and unfortunately, some parents look at a box of Lego and think it's too expensive. The Cap'n is right - they need to watch themselves and not grow too much where the market can't or won't handle it.
  25. *Razzin'frazzin'nogood...* I'm lucky - I got a guy getting mine for me.
