  1. I barely had time to read the information presented. Maybe its just me, but I think the script was onscreen too short of a time...
  2. Well - let me be the first to welcome you to this lovely layout of all things Lego! Where in the U.S.? What are your favs (sets, themes, etc) if any?
  3. 2008 was Great!! By far, my favorite were the Castle sets. I look very forward to '09.
  4. I was just at the local TRU this morning (dang madhouse in there...) and didn't see any. I'd get one if I could...
  5. I placed an order Sat night. They placed a "pre-authorization" on my card (looking like it charged the full amount. Then the next day, there was another charge for a portion of the full amount. I called to check on the 2nd charge and was informed that the first charge (pre-authorization) should come off shortly and the 2nd amount was for a portion of the order that was shipping. While I understand this, I certainly don't like it. The woman I spoke to was very understanding and assured me that she would note the dissatisfaction (I assured her it was not that big of a deal...) and she also stated quite a few other folks weren't too happy with this method of dealing with customers.
  6. Brilliant!! You should put them on BS in order so folks there can read (and see) the rhyming and building fun!
  7. Yeah - 1 WM (where I got my 2 @ $48.88 just prior to the BFSales) had 3 the other day @ $50., then another had zero, but a third had about 10(!!) of them.
  8. I caught only the teaser for the Fox report as I had to take the kids out to the bus stop, but I had to just shake my head in anticipation. Hopefully this "issue" will die out just as quickly as its been brought up!! Nice - a radio station hailing from Pittsburgh does a "Thong of the Day" for its online listeners...
  9. At first I thought this said 41.5 lbs of Lego...Whoa.
  10. Fantastic idea in my opinion! Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Hmmm - would they follow the movies and deal with Harry getting older ala' Star Wars? Or just have basic adventures where Harry and others complete quests spiraling towards a Voldemort battle at the end such as Bats gave us...? I'd personally vote for the Bats style, where Harry (alternately with Hermione and Ron and even teachers and Dobby helping) has to navigate his way through finding magical objects, gaining spells to use, riding dragons and brooms, and solving a mystery.
  11. What's on page 3? And good point about the video games/ movies/ etc. Besides the fact that this publication, may or may not be a stellar reporting source, maybe its because the Osama/ terrorist minifigs are based on a toy and not "rated" like movies/ VG's/ etc, that some folks feel the need to try to turn nothing into something.
  12. Not that I'm defending the article, but some folks don't know this... Some folks see Lego and think "kids toy". They don't feel the two should go together. My own brother will not let his son/ daughter play with Castle/ Star Wars/ Batman/ Pirate Lego because of the violence and gun usage. They (my brothers kids') have a healthy dose of City sets though.
  13. August 2009 in Washington DC Area!! BRICKFAIR! - Open to the Public for 2/3 days! - Games, prizes, and discounts for Attendees! - 2 (!!) Lego Stores within 30min of the 'Fair! - I'll be there!!
  14. That's a pretty amazing mosaic! If I ever saw an Iron Man, I definitely bid!!
  15. I guess it might be too late at this point, but I've "hidden" stuff to buy later in inconspicuous places (behind pillows, dogfood, etc), if I didn't have the money with me...
  16. Pretty interesting stuff - I bet the folks on this site could discuss those points for some time to come. Good Luck with your presentation!
  17. I'm jealous...
  18. I picked up 2 - but 1 is for a friends 2 boys' that recently got into Lego. Unfortunately, they were in the 3rd of 3 WM's I checked...
  19. Count. Me. In.
  20. I'm tempted to head out there tonight, but I guess I'll wait until morning...
  21. Me too - except, I'd also have to have won the lottery.
  22. Wow! A lot of that stuff is really cool. I had no idea they did that either...
  23. Sounds neat. Thanks for the heads-up!! 'Course - I'll have to wait and see if it shows up on the internet...with subtitles...
  24. Aargh! Thanks for the review!! I'm getting this set. Wasn't gonna delve into the Pirates stock just yet, but after seeing the contents, playability, and price I'm not waiting...
  25. Nice review! Thanks! When I first saw this in sneak peeks, my initial thought was...MOCing the SUV into a suitable vehicle for Black Mask (darken the windows, maybe add a canon, etc.). The price does seem kinda steep though. I figured closer to around $13.-$16., but absolutely no more than $19.99!
