  1. Well, they are kinda like action figs. Lego Minifig + Action = Miniactionfigs!! :-P I like the idea of Battle Packs and look forward to other variations as mentioned previously...too bad I already have a boatload of the Crown Knights. ;-)
  2. I know in my household vehicles are more fun for the kids. They want cars, trucks, and even just plates with wheels! Oh - and princesses and knights! In my opinion, a playset based on the mining carts chase scene would do well.
  3. WOW. Just....wow.
  4. '96 wasn't too bad for me... Graduated college, moved to FLA where they have Sonic restaurants , then met my (future) wife. X-D On the other hand, my Black Falcon Knights were locked away in storage... :'-(
  5. A couple of questions... When can users get those lego flags and larger avatars? Is there a donation area? Thanks.
  6. Wow! Thanks for the hearty welcome! The Dadster (as some of you may have guessed...) is a take on the Brickster of old. ;-) It seems like there are certainly some good days ahead in the world of Lego.
  7. Alas, its hard enough for me to get away to another state for a weekend, there's no way I'm headin' off to another country short of winning the lottery. :'-( Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I'm A(veryold)FOL. My little bro and I started out playing with The Yellow Castle!!! My other favs were the Police sets. I live in NY, about an hour NW of NYC. Originally grew up in SE PA, then lived in Western PA, then FL, then NJ... I'm lucky enough to be a stay-at-home dad which affords me a bit of time to tool around with Lego during the day. My kids (youngest is 3) love them. Current favs are Bats and Castle sets. A little SW mixed in, but there are just soooo many sets, I stick with main characters and armies. Glad to be here and I hope to learn some more about the hobby I love dearly.
  9. I got mine today and this thing is awesome! The wheels are huge and while it was a pain following the directions pic-by-pic, one could easily just mass produce them based on the first instruction. I love the orc-chief!
  10. Pics were still all over Brickshelf...would they get those taken down as well? Bats' Tumbler?!?
  11. I registered to attend. Looking forward to it. I'll be heading down from the NYC area.
  12. Originally quoted by "sinner" Since this topic is only useful to the blind I will close it. OUCH! :-/ Sorry, but I don't have a scanner and wasn't sure if we were allowed to just promote a random magazine. *GameInformer Issue 178, Page 72* A few of the pics I saw are a little different, but the ones above are nice as well.
  13. Hiya! I'm new to this forum, (but have been on others) and hope this is okay to post here. I did a search and results yielded nada... Anyway... I was thumbing through a gaming magazine today and stopped about half-way... LEGO: Batman was given an "open-era" with which to work. Rather than just retelling an established storyline, the article describes the game with a new plot that gathers together all the criminal elements from Gotham. 1 line indicates the "levels will have a more vertical element to them." Screen Shots from L-R: 1) A "thug" jumping down to fight Bats - or maybe he's being punched backwards... ;-) near a waterway or dock area. 2) Catwoman and Scarecrow standing side by side. 3) Bats in the Bathovercraft, with Robin on his waterskidoo thing. 4) A rooftop exterior of building. Croc is on an upper-level. The lower level shows Scarecrow (w/ glowing spot by hands - a bomb?). 4 "thugs" are also in the shot (w/ 1 being thrown back?) (1 w/ head off...) near Scarecrow.
  14. I think those are SW style blasters with an extra piece attached...at least that's what they look like to me. (guy shooting 2 of them off the back of the truck.)
  15. What did you use for the "techno-suit"? I wanna do that with my Freeze... As an aside, its easy to make a Black Mask (another diabolical Bat Enemy) minifig - just take the black skull (not red eyed) and plant it on a suit with fleshy hands. Add briefcase and gun and viola! I used Wayne's suit from the Batcave set as it lined up closely with a comic appearance.
  16. The New (6) Mission Agents sets. *y* ...from me. Overall, I like the looks of them. Lots of cool new ideas and pieces.
  17. Well, you are in the middle of nowhere... :-D I got the Joker Copter set and Scarecrow's Plane for $19.00 each.
  18. I'm a teensy bit bummed after seeing the close-up (Thanks though!!). The Jester has a crown insignia on its torso... I wish the insignia wasn't there. Oh well, still an awesome looking group thus far.
  19. I just saw this and can't wait!!!!!!! And that Jester bodes well for a possible Harley Quinn minifig for Batman sets... Man - so glad I found this site. Great news and pics!!!
  20. Looks good to me!
