I was checking out the Wal-Mart aisles yesterday. They had the droid gunship for $17. and the Castle Troll warship and Dwarves Mine sets discounted about $10 each.

You just go be patient somewhere else limey!! I'm American and I want those pics/ sets now!!!

I waited too long to grab the last Lego set (Bats' Tumbler...) the other day. How do I know? My daughter and I were walking in and we went to check out the Cars (she's a nut for those things...) area first. After snagging a few and then walking through the rest of the isles, we proceeded to go check out with new Cars in hand. What did I see standing 2 persons up from me? Some gentleman with Bats' Tumbler! D'oh!!

I rec'd the Collector's book from my children!! It was (and will continue to be for a long time...) really cool seeing all the neat and old sets!

I'd like to go on a tour there or just check things out (that one could...). Fortunately, its not too far from me. I've met Steve and he's a decent enough fellow (he likes Green Lantern, etc comics, so that's a plus!). I wanna see a better pic of that poster he's got hanging on the wall...

You know what stinks? I was in the "local" Lego store yesterday and inquired about the Marketplace set coming in Jan. Store Employee: What Marketplace set? Me: Um - the new Medieval Marketplace set from the Castle theme. Store Employee: Sorry, I don't know anything about it. I wish a store that specialized in a single product would hire employees that might keep up with rumors and/or actual products headed their way...

I don't believe in a higher power, so as far as I'm concerned, anyone deeming themselves a prophet is a wacko (especially that Smith character...), but wow! That's funny, but its gonna piss someone off...

Give me a "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy vs the Dirty Bubble" set and I'll be happy as a...clam!

I'll pass on these. Besides the Krusty Krab Kar, (and maybe the different faces...) there really isn't anything I'd be interested in adding to my collection. Thanks for the heads-up though.

Whoa - I'll be honest - I only knew of about half of those. I always like the Fright Knights, but Scorpion and recent Castle barding are the best IMO. I voted #11 as I prefer silver trim over gold.

Yeah - hindsight is 20/20. Especially if I'd saved a slew of the original SW releases... I can't stand to have stuff sit around though.

There are folks out there who buy 2 (and sometimes more...) copies of every set - or every set within a theme, then simply stick one in a box, locked away in storage. I know I'll be there on Day 1 of the available purchase day!

I know nothing about Legoland/ Stores employee discounts, but if I had had the chance to work at one when I was younger, I definitely would have jumped at the chance. Even if the discount was "only 10%" - the chance to work and see (and possibly play with...) Lego items would have been too much of a benefit to ignore... As it was, I was able to get 10% off of horse feed, bird feed, and farming supplies...

Agreed - I've seen some stuff sitting around for (literally) years! Still - its a shame that some folks are getting the news about losing their jobs during the holiday season... Just in my county of domicile, we've had 3 restaurants and 2 "goods" stores close down. Still - I'll have to go check it out. A deal is a deal (unless its not...).

I kinda wish there were multiple choices or separate categories for hair and hats/ helmets. I didn't make the poll though... I chose Clawdette's hair. Besides using it for a sultry lady, I have them on some of my Ugha warriors. Very cool design!

Check for "odd" ending times as well. Most auctions (at least that I notice) end during the hours of 1-11pm [EST]. Every now and then someone will end an auction at 2am or 3am or even 5am. These seem to be few and far between, but you could snipe an item while others are in bed...
