First thing, is it on a flat surface? This set doesn't like to have any differences of height on the surface its on. Secondly, are all the pieces definitely pressed together properly, like all the way together without leaving gaps? Thirdly, the chain does seem to make a difference if its too tight or too loose. Does yours currently have the exact amount of pieces as per the instructions? If it does, I'd then look at adding an extra link/removing a link and seeing how that goes.

Lego should do Star Wars collectible mini figures
Fuppylodders replied to Jimalaya's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I really can't understand why they haven't already made r2 with a fully rotatable head using the 2x2 turntable top and a new body mould which is essentially the same but incorporates the connection of the turntable top with studs. Additionally, a new technic pin piece with half axle and the quarter pin to enable the 1x1 cheese wedge to be added as his middle leg. (this leg bit would be a luxury but the rotating head, such an obvious thing for r2 given half of his screen time is his head spinning crazily! A cmf would be the perfect time to introduce a special version of him (given they passed up that opportunity with the ucs r2...)- 49 replies

Don't talk nonsense, that would mean everyone wins and would be happy! Can't have everyone pleased and upset the balance now, can we In all seriousness, that would be a solid idea. But, I can't see them doing it

I understand the uncertainty about tweety being an accessory, but, for the sake of having sylvester as a minifig (my god I hope he is), tweety just wouldn't be right unless he was a tiny 1 stud animal mould, and as @chris6507 linked, that mould as a 1 stud thing would be almost perfect! Tweety as a minifig just wouldn't feel right to me. He's a tiny bird and just comes hand in hand with sylvester. You want to be able to have tweety 'held' in one of sylvester hands/paws... Just wouldn't work well if tweety was minifig sized. As for road runner, again, I think he'd work best as a mould similar to the ostrich, which is already close to what road runner could look like. Just give that ostrich mould a larger taller tail of feathers, fluffed feathers on its head and it'd work flawlessly alongside a minifig of wile e coyote. As an actual minifigure though, some might prefer it, but I think some things should be left as an animal mould, and roadrunner is definitely one of them. Although just my opinion of course

This kind of thing for tweety would be perfect (size wise... But of course change the mould to better suit the shape of tweety) https://www.google.co.uk/search?sxsrf=ALeKk02OOV_8rXLG57pZnJD1S4tkddGbAg%3A1601549802510&ei=6rV1X7ziHuuM1fAP-cqzsAY&q=lego+bird+animal+mold&oq=lego+bird+animal+mold&gs_lcp=ChNtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1zZXJwEAMyBQghEKABOgQIABBHOgQIIxAnOgIIADoICAAQFhAKEB46BggAEBYQHjoFCAAQkQI6BwgAEBQQhwI6BAgAEAo6BwghEAoQoAE6BAghEBU6CAghEBYQHRAeUMhaWM-FAWDXhwFoAHABeACAAX6IAaAJkgEEMTIuMpgBAKABAcgBCMABAQ&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-serp#imgrc=qW7BAdUE_i9CRM If they can make that bird, they can do tweety no problem. I'm really looking forward to this theme of cmf, hoping they get the main ones down at least (including taz)

I'll be honest, I'm glad it's doing ok, apparantly. Because while i give zero care for anything out at the moment, I'm just hoping to dear god they bring out minifigure stuff otherwise it just feels like a kick in the balls

Ninjago Movie Screen-Accurate Mech Recreations
Fuppylodders replied to GLAP23's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That dragon! I need to see more of that dragon! Gosh, what a thing of beauty! Other than the jaw/mouth pieces, are there any parts in it not available in the correct colour? I've not seen a model recently that makes me want to bricklink, but this, damn, I'll get straight on it if it's good for the colours! Although, I notice you have some black pieces where they should be sand green, so I'm assuming some are not available... Do you have a list of what is not available? Or are you just working through it slowly, doing what you can when you can, and finding out as and when...? How long is it from head to tail? -
Jack Skellington House for my Halloween Village
Fuppylodders replied to theycallmemrdarko's topic in LEGO Town
That looks beautiful! What a brilliant design it is! Impressive you managed to build it quite sturdy too. Glad you found it and reverse engineered it (to a degree), I'd not have known about it otherwise, and I love 'haunted' stuff such as this. -
It all seems just too gimmicky and unnecessary. Feels almost like they're getting close to the point they're forcing lego down our throats. Sure, we don't have to buy it, and I certainly won't be... But I think they're starting to ride on their success of sets and losing focus of their core product. What's it going to be next, cereal bowls with studs all around it, with a spoon with studs on the concave part so you can attach your lego block cereal shapes to your spoon or make patterns out of the cereal on the bowl before you put them in the bowl and eat them? Lego dots around your glasses rims? House Light switch surrounds with studs so you can put random dots on it? Transparent light shades so you can make your own stained glass light shades with transparent dots? I like lego, but I'd never wear something lego-y, and literally don't understand the point of making storage boxes with a few studs on them.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Yeah, can't argue with that at all. I guess just a personal preference more than anything, but an unrealistic personal preference on my part too, to ever actually occur. To be fair, they have been generous with the figs. -

That's the issue, it's only logic, because there's nothing to prove nor disprove it. You are likely right however, but there is certainly no shortage of han/chewie/luke/r2d2/c3po etc... If there would be any slight remote chance that not including them meant something else got extra, I'd choose that any day. I get that, I've seen the video going in depth over licenced themes prices vs non licenced etc, but more often than not, SW come along with an anomaly to throw it out of the water and fall heavily on it having a SW tax, such as this. The issue is, technically, it'd be unfair to compare it to anything going by the logic of SW having to pay more for its licence, because its the most popular one. And no, you're right, it wouldn't be fair to blame Disney. But I can bet they'd have had an opportunity to reduce the licence fee and would have not even considered it for a second. (and why would they? Business is business). But let's be honest, no business likes passing on savings to the customer if its even possible if they're used to receiving a set price, because, well, money, and it's not their problem. But at some point, you have to come to realise that there is a point you have to stop putting SW on the high pedestal and to stop accepting its fine to pay the price of gold for still getting plastic (just a saying). There has to be a point where you put a limit on the worth of a licence, and as far as I'm concerned, Harry Potter is a big enough licence in itself at this point in time to justify a level of comparison. Don't get me wrong, the set so far looks spectacular, the designer has done an awesome job (am assuming the interior is just as good), I really want to get it, it's just a hit of a sour pill to swallow when one week you're forking out for the generous HP set seeing people complaining that that is overpriced and then seeing this come out and almost no one making the same claims! -

I understand that ppp is just a soft guide and by no means a hard reference point, but to this degree when those extra pieces aren't simply a bucket load of 1x1s or technic pins? Nah, you can only stretch it so far before it's blatantly obvious. Especially when the original mos eisley set (75052) came with the dewback (massive new mould), biths (new moulds) and 8 minifigs for £65 for 616 pieces in the same style of pieces as is in the ucs version. -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
May need to get a second just to do this, looks perfect on the outside, on the inside, it's a strip club xD I do really like it, it certainly looks to fit in more with the original feel to the winter Village theme than the previous couple of years, but, something still feels kinda distant about it still and it feels like it's slowly making me lose interest in it :( Don't get me wrong, love this set for what it is, will definitely get it. It almost feels like whoever was in charge of Winter Village set designs, quit... someone else took over and has taken it down a different path to what it started out as... -

Yeah, only in target, so those of us not in America are screwed out of something good as usual oh, unless we want to pay extortionate prices of course. Regarding the cantina, it looks like they've done a spot on job with it for sure, and they included all 3 biths too! As someone else said, shame the usual characters got in kuded as even just including only luke and han would have been enough, and left room for others, but still good either way, and the dewback is a lovely inclusion as is the speeder! But the negative? The star wars tax blatantly shows here. Look at diagon alley, 5544 pieces... over 2300 *more* pieces just for $50 more! No way the dewback soaks up *that* much. I'd like to get it, but, likely only if I see it on some sort of discount, which, I practically never see here in the uk. Can't justify getting screwed just because it's finally something that's been wanted by many for so long and they know they can screw us. *edit* is the dewback exactly the same as the previous one? -

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
So I'm wondering, all the assumptions that there could be a GWP 2 months down the line (perfectly reasonable assumptions based on the fig and previous precedence, but given that fig is now in the set) , is it possible it won't happen? And they actually pulled the GWP in line with the release? I'm thinking going to try get it straight away to get those gwp's... -

It's a beautiful set, but something about the face just doesn't quite sit right. Granted that Wintermoog's version's head is slightly larger, but seems to capture the cuteness of the face better. I'll probably still get it though... -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Does anything make sense at this point in time? It would have made sense revealing it 1 month/3weeks/2 weeks before release, none of which they've done. They usually reveal things 2 weeks before. If they're not revealing now, it seems there is a different reason they're holding off, which means they're holding off as long as possible, the potential reason as explained in the rest of my post. -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
At this point, it seems that DA going could simply be revealed on its release. If its not today, then I'd bet it'll be next Monday, which seems a daft thing to do, but maybe, I'm wondering if they got plenty of large sets out at the moment that have recently been released (grand piano, nes etc) and they're giving them as much of a chance to sell before revealing this because they *know* with the current slower production, they'll easily sell out DA so requirements for 'giving people a chance to save up' is irrelevant at this point for them... -

While it's possible the pin holes indicate another set, it's also entirely possible they are there just to allow us to connect these sets up in any order we wish. Regarding the torso, maybe, TLG 'let' it be leaked, in order to find where the leaks were coming from? Set up different torsos and which ever torso version leaked, they'd know where it came from doubtful, but I guess a possibility, given how clamped down in leaks they've been recently. They have to be figuring out how stuff is getting leaked somehow. Also, while the minifigs are seeming a little lacklustre, there's always going to be room for improvement and not everyone will always be happy. Given how brilliant they've been doing with the sets, and how actual value for money they've been, I think we've been a bit spoiled and we're applying the same extremely high expectations on the minifigs. I'll be honest, I'm happy with 14 minifigs. Theyve spoiled us with an amazing set of cmf too, so easily not a problem. -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I remember getting slated for suggesting it'd be cool if they broke up DA into multiple sets sold over time (OK, a few years more) and now it seems to be becoming a highly likely possibility because of Gringotts and (very hopefully) leaky couldron I do hope that the Leaky couldron would be included with Gringotts (if that becomes its own set) as I also think by itself, it wouldn't get a release... Absolutely ecstatic about what it sounds like we are getting though! The lack of a leaky couldron isn't too bad, can easily moc one in a similar style front as the rest of the shops. To me as a casual fan who is still reading the books (not made it past the first one yet haha) and has watched the films, Diagon Alley isnt just about Gringotts, but all the other little shops that make an alley, sith Gringotts as the head of it. Do I need Gringotts to feel like a complete DA? Nope. Could it do with it? Yep. So I'm happy and hoping for its own seperate set. -
Exactly what MAB said, and yet, how much of a following has SW got? Enough to justify the crazy prices... well, it did have... not so much recent times. Which goes to show how ridiculous it is for Overwatch... The last set linked (the mech) literally has no non overwatch fan substance to it, unless you like mechs. But even then, it doesn't appear that great, and there are better mech sets out there to buy than this one...
