Adam Tucker´s great architecture models now produced by TLG
WhiteFang replied to CopMike's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for sharing! Adam Tucker's model are really impressive and amazing! I had read some of their works in BrickStructure and it is really very very outstanding. I am glad TLG is starting up LEGO Architecture models that revolved around building bricks with landmarks that we are familar with. -
This picture on the right corner, showed how a bulldozer looks like. I am not really very confused with English, except for some terms. Good job in finding the missing piece. I am glad that the missing piece is not something rare or hard to replace. I couldn't agree less. The hinge is the main beauty of this set, that drives it's primary design, that is able to relate in our daily lives. xenologer, thanks for clearing the construction definitions around here. I am not familar with such terms. Now, I know it is called a Front End Loader.

Somehow, I just came across into this poll and find it very interesting. I voted for Soldiers (Blue coats) There is no particular reasons, just find blue coat looks much beautiful. This is my personal opnion. Just love these blue soldiers. I always think red is refer to as general/commander. I am not an expert in pirates stuff. Maybe, I should do some reading up, digging up some old topics.

Very very nice piece of work! I can see that there is alot of work involved. Thanks for putting in so much efforts in formulating this additional piece in EBRP. Dragonator, please try not to make it too complicated for us to digest, as it might be very hard for others to understand, if its directly related to EBRP. I am having a slow brain at the moment. When you are done with the Dragon Masters Index, kindly pm me the entire summary. So, I will be able to update it for you. On a side note, ImperialScouts. You may want to start Siloux's adventure anytime you wish. As for Neb Monastery arc, you can continue to introduce Aarand to the rest to them. Wait for me to come back, to continue with the search of the remaining 6. To all EBRP Players, I will be less active in EBRP due to personal commintments, till 25th July. However, I will try and post whenever I can. I must apologise, as there is too much information processing in my head. Thanks for your understand. If there is any questions regarding about EBRP, you could still PM me or drop me a note in this discussion. I do check them out once in a while. WhiteFang

Hello all Eurobricks members and Town Lovers, Behold my next classic town review. This is one of the construction vehicles that are available for constructing our towns in 1980s. Before I start, my Bulldozer is not 100% complete. Try and spot the missing piece and tell me at the end of the review? Name: Bulldozer Theme: LEGO System / Town Year: 1986 Pieces: 65 Minifigs: 1 Price: Unknown An image of a 6658, Bulldozer Let the review begins Firstly, I am quite confused why it is called Bulldozer. I am sure you are quite familar with the bulldozer below instead. It should be called as a digger. Well, I will classify the 6658 as a medium digger. Throughout the years, LEGO had placed yellow as construction theme. It seemed that yellow bricks are widely used for construction vehicles. I am not saying that only construction vehicless are allowed to use yellow bricks. It seemed to be a representation of construction. In the recent years, City had created a construction theme and had two diggers under that category. They are known as mini-digger and digger. Even till this day, they are still using yellow bricks for construction vehicles. Meet the driver and the bulldozer It seemed that this driver is wearing a typical blue torso, with its classic red safety helmet. There are no prints to indicate he is someone whom is working in construction field. Unlike, the current construction theme, every worker is required to wear a safety vest during work. Well, I feel that the driver's torso is quite good for changing it into other townfolks. Just change the hairpiece and you will get a typical citizen in the city. Playing mechanisim The bulldozer is able to move its digger bucket upwards and downwards. In addition, the yellow digger bucket is able to move too. This promotes great playability to scope out some debris from the construction site. It can swirl? Yes, the bulldozer is able to swirl left and right by making use of the black catch. It can shift itself while reversing. Personally, I find this feature very wonderful and excellent. At least, I know my bulldozer won't be restricted to one angle. Place the driver here By opening the top frame, the hinges will be able to move upwards and downwards without tearing down the whole seat. This feature will only be seen in most Classic Town vehicles. You can't find this anymore in the current city collections. Different angles of the bulldozer Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Very fun to play with) Design: 8.5/10 (Very realistic design. Just the naming, I still don't understand why its called bulldozer) Price: 8/10 (An inexpensive set based on the 1986 pricing, quite worth for what you are getting for) Overall: 8.2/10 (A must have for all Classic Town lovers, even for the current Construction theme. This will fit in very well) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? So, have you found the missing piece? Hope everyone of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and critics are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Brickshelf (When moderated)

Inertia, this is a very nice classic space review from 1987. I used to admire this nice spacecraft, looking at the catalogue when I was a kid. I have no complains on this set. Certainly one of the nice-looking spacecraft in the Futuron theme. Furthermore, it comes with 2 yellow astronaunts and a mini-buggy/rover to explore unknown terrains. Thanks for sharing with us this review. Meanwhile, I will hope to see you around too.

Armothe, great layout in your new Brickforge website. I was never into Brickforge items. However, my first combined shipment from Brickforge, sharing it with a friend of mine, is coming soon. I can't wait to find out what Brickforge can truly offer. I am sure it will meet my expectations. Will let you know how I feel when I receive it. Meanwhile, keep up the good job!

Thanks everyone. Glad that you guys enjoyed this review. I never realised that. I supposed these wheels is one of the earliest technic parts, appeared in system sets. I will show it to you in a few days time, that this mini-fig torso does not only appear in this set. In fact, I am quite fond of this lovely torso with its symbolic truck printed on it. I wouldn't agreed less. This set is a good to have and is defintely not the main highlights in 1987. This is actually a great add-on to your classic town vehicle collections. After seeing so many typical police cars, ambulance, fire engine and etc, I need more variety of civillan vehicles roaming down the streets.
-
I never thought of that before. He is actually walking around looking important. The last time I ever saw road-signs are these wonderful accessories pack!
-
This is a very nice small little set, which offer 2 "happy" crew members and a mini-digger, working hard to repair the streets under the scorching sun. It is a very tough life for them, to make sure that the roads are in working order. What I like about this set, is it's simple design and a wide variety of accessories for them to work with such as spade, pricket, barricade and the lovely sign post. I agreed with you, that these torsos do not seem suitable for these kind of manual work. However, these torsos are very useful to create a typical citizen in a town. Furthermore, it has a nice safety vest for one of them to wear on. Nowadays, the vest is just a orange piece for them to wear on. And, it's only available in City theme, under Airport if I remembered correctly. The mini-digger is a good and simple design. I have no complains over it. Basically, there is no major faults, and it's great to have them in any of your towns. Be it now or present, this is a timeless classic. I give it a "4" because of the torsos do not match with each other in this theme. Other than that, it's one lovely set to have! Thanks Brickster!

Hello all Eurobricks members, For members that are familar with the recent Vestas craze, this is the thread. If you are unfamilar with Vestas. This will be a good insight for all of you. Vestas, a global company which is specialize in Wind Power, hoping to spread their philosophy and belief in "Wind technology" to replace other forms of power consumption such as coal, oil, gas and etc. Using "Wind" to drive our daily applications. This mini-exhibition was taken in Feburary 2008, in Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2, Transit area. These are the different showcases. Look at how they working hard in the desert! Exploring in the deep blue sea Wind power can help to power house like this. Wind is free!!! Hope you guys had enjoyed viewing these images that I had taken back then. Furthermore, if you wish to view more pictures, please be warned that I had not re-size or edit on the rest of the pictures that is not "numbered'. The pictures are very big, if you are using slow connection. Image editing is complete. Please give me some time for me, to re-adjust the rest of the settings, and improve your viewing pleasure. More pictures can be found in My Brickshelf (After Moderation)

I had saw the earlier image just now. It looks very nice. Just to share some information with you guys. Vestas, an global company which is an expert in "Wind Energy" This is a tie-up with LEGO. I feel its an illustration on how our world will benefit by applying and believing its technology to make use of re-useable natural resources. Hinckley, is it ok for me to share a picture or two on the Vestas Exhibition that happened few months ago in Singapore? Don't worry, it's not anything related "directly" to the Vestas Promo, Wind Power plant.

Let me share with you a couple of nice names. Solana (Wind from the east) Deiondre (Valley) Livana (White, the moon, lunar) Renshaw (Raven forest) Zerlinda (Beautiful dawn) Hope you find it useful. You are correct, that this is the Rat year. I am thinking of formulating 12 legendary creatures to be included into each year. We will use for example "Monday" as Seeker day. My proposed list will be Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, Pegasus. We will add as much as 20 choices, and a poll will be conducted to choose the best 12 creatures to represent EBRP years. However, I will like to seek other EBRP players' opnions especially those whom had spend quite an amount of time, devoting to EBRP. To highlight again, creating a calender/years will not have any effect on your story posts/plots. It is merely to serve as a guide for us whom wish to use calender, dates, years or anything related with time, to enhance the clarity of your post. This shall served as a guide/tool for us to reference on. I am not sure about this, as it might reflect a personal touch towards a particular kingdom. A general timeline period/era will be ideal for all of us. I may not have a clear idea at the moment. I am sure, in the later part, it will be present in a clearer manner. Too much information processing in my head, may cause overloading. In a way, it will make EBRP much complete. I am very pleased with it. I will continue with the Summary index in the next few weeks. I am quite busy with exams and work at the moment. So, please pardon me for my possible slow response during this period.

Actually, I do not have a name of our entire continent at the moment. I will check with KhoRne about this. To add on to your question, I supposed you understand "regions". Since you decided to under-take "Dragon Masters Kingdom", it will be advisable to split your kingdom and group them into regions, and give it a proposed region name for it. For example, in Black Knights Kingdom, there is Odessa, Lenore, Kaela and etc. Above was an example of the child's horoscope. Mentioned in my story, that these childs may be kidnapped due to their special sign in their birthday. And, I had used analogy of animals, creatures, or legends to formulate their birth year. It's similar to the chinese zodiac signs (12 animal = 12 years). I think the calender thing is good, but it can be really confusing for non-EBRP players to adapt quickly. Firstly, I think we should try and establish a common standard or naming for it denote the time period in EBRP. If you could draft out something for us to reference on, I think it will be great. Currently, most of us are using 50 years ago, 100 years ago kind of timeline to establish the time period. I used zodiacs to indicate the years. I hope we don't have to undergo history lessons in order to qualify us to particpate in EBRP, especially familarise with time periods. Nevertheless, I think it's a good and bold idea for us to step on. I will help you out on this as well, once things get a little less busy for me. If we do it well and prepared well enough, it will benefit us all, otherwise we will be lost in our own actions.

This Classic Space review, is the best set ever, I had seen, from your Classic Space review. Your reviews are still ever so great. It is the set that gotten me so excited. Galaxy Explorer is a superb fun-playing set, that comes with instant 4 classic space figures, Galaxy Explorer ship which is much nicer and bigger than Space Explorer ship, two space baseplates and a great control room, adds up to a superb legendary classic space set. The Galaxy Explorer ship is indeed very lovely and nice. As usual, the typical blue and grey scheme, with the size of the usual cockpit for its pilot. The amount of engines simply illustrate the capability of the ship's power. What amaze me the most, is the cargo compartment. It is able to store a full-size buggy at the back of the ship inclusive a ramp as well. Thanks for your great contribution to Classic Space reviews.

We are guessing, whether Pirates will take off as the new theme, next year. It may looks as real as it gets. Whether it is for Factory or New themes, TLG is listening to us. Even if it's not launch by next year, it will be one of the possible themes in 2010. In addition, there will be two new themes in 2009. And, my gut feel will be Pirates and Wild West (Factory). This is just my instinct. Others might disagreed with me. But, this picture is as real as it gets. We are defintely be seeing some nice surprises in the next coming months.

Sandy, your collection is great, even for a start up. Because you have such wonderful themes/sets such as Black Knights, Wolfpack, Dragon Masters, Paradisa, Pirates, Wild West and etc. Furthermore, they are in excellent condition. I am envy of you, as you had some of the old sets that I want in great condition. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Location: K13 (Dining Hall, Neb Monastery, base of Mount Sophia, Odessa region of Black Knights Kingdom) Princess Diana shouted at Erik “Siloux will not leave us without saying good bye to us. He was my friend, and we had been travelling together and had many adventures in our journey so far.” Lord Kenneth grabbed hold of her and told her to calm down. He said “Princess, please calm down. Erik had given his explanation. Right now, we have a critical situation at hand. We will look for Siloux once this is over.” She pushed Lord Kenneth aside, and stood behind them. Grandoth pointed at him, “Who is he? He sure sneaked up real quiet.” Bluervo added “He was in this room all this while, standing at that far corner.” Flynt said “I thought he was one of the healers.” Lord Kenneth looked at Aarand and asked “You are Aarand? What is your surname? I had never heard of you before, in Odessa Region.” Adrick interrupted “All of us are quite uptight at the moment. Let’s calm down and listened to Erik. We have demons to slay and Priests to unite right now.” The rest of them gathered around the table, and listened to him.

Glad you guys liked this review. Swoosh it around?? I will prefer to use it to "vrooom" it around on my road baseplates. BerndDasBrot, thanks for reminding me of the 6675. I will need to find it and restore it first. Meanwhile, watch out for more upcoming Classic Town Reviews.

KD, this is simply the best LDD you have ever created. I love your Main Street Design very much. It's filled with shops that what any LEGO Town, really needs. It can be used to complement modular building such as Cafe Corner, Market Street and Green Grocer. The layout is very nice looking especially the color combinations. So, will you be getting this from LEGO Factory? I will love to see it in real layout if possible. It's a little expensive, but it certainly looks very nice with such fine details. Just curious, is the 3 yellow seats supposed to be a bus stop?

This is the first time, I had heard such interview from LAMLradio! It's give me a very interesting insight. Excellent job, Hinckley! You had certainly promoted much a lot on Eurobricks and shared with others on how EB really is. Well done!

Mystery Castle - Building Challenge Discussion
WhiteFang replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I am a wandering castle spirit, lingering around Mystery Castle. Thanks for your kind comments. It's my first time attempting to build a vig and I glad you liked it. Hope we will have more particpants (dead or alive) to show support for Mystery Castle. Dragonator had done a great job so far, and to show our love for him, we should do some vigs for him. Except at times, I know during the days in Mystery Castle, he do annoyed us sometimes. -
Hello all Eurobricks members and Town Lovers, This is my first classic town review. For today, I will be featuring the 6641, 4-Wheelin' Truck which is produced in 1987. For some younger members in EB, you might not have encounter such a baby roaming down the streets, horning at others with its big massive truck. Considering this is a 1987 set, such a vehicle size is considered big in those days. Name: 4-Wheelin' Truck Theme: LEGO System / Town Year: 1987 Pieces: 80 Minifigs: 1 Price: USD$6.50 An image of a 6641, 4-Wheelin' Truck *Hello Everyone* Why the name 4-Wheelin' Truck? It is because this truck is equipped with 4 heavy duty wheels which is considered "big" among other small vehicles in Classic Town. Please take note, most of the vehicles that are produced in Classic Town era, are 4-studs wide. This truck is no exception. Meet the driver and his truck! This truck has a very good combinations of different colors that are common for most town vehicles. It made used of blue, white and red as its primary combinations. I find that this combinations is quite soothing to its eyes especially the blue bricks. In addition, the mini-fig torso is superb. The driver must be a great fan of this vehicle. I realised most truck drivers in the classic town era wear this most of the time. I wonder if its some kind of an organization? Front view There is 2 red doors coupled with the truck, to enable the driver to get in properly. This vehicle is considered big in the 1980s. However, if you compared it with the current city vehicles, this truck certainly will not outsize the current designs. Please take note of the wheels. The wheels are pretty different. I don't remember seeing these wheels in many other vehicles, maybe some members can help me on this. Most of the classic town vehicles have a window frame on top which is known as a "sun-roof". In this set, this feature is also included. Furthermore, the vehicle frame has a simple mechanism which all town lovers love. It is to lift it up and place their driver in and out the seat. Most importantly, you do not have to take off the entire window frame just to put in the driver. Different angles of the 4-Wheelin' Truck SNOT Technique? Back 20 years ago, LEGO had been experimenting with SNOT technique. You can see that the back looks very neat without the studs. In addition, it can be quite useful to place a mini-fig on top of it, or throw some baggage for some quick getaway. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Great addition to your Town collection.) Design: 8.5/10 (Very good design. I love 4-studs truck. At least, it is able to occupy one side of the lane) Price: 9/10 (An inexpensive set based on the 1987 pricing) Overall: 8.5/10 (A must have for all Classic Town lovers, we have been complaining for more wider range of vehicle) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? Hope everyone of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Pictures can be found in My Brickshelf (When moderated)
