He mentioned at the top of his review, which required 31 hours of his time to build the Death Star. Doing this Death Star review, certainly needs lot of time and preparations to complete. From building to taking photos to writing a review, it's not an easy task. I enjoyed reading this review very much, and it's pretty informative for most of us here whom wants to know more about Death Star's playing features.

The Baritones Discussion Thread
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Let's just wait and see.. I am sure in time to come, all things will fit into place once all is reveal at the end. Let's all focus on the game and await for Day 5. -
VBBN, why did you want to do this review? You are going to make me feel regret, for passed out this set last year xmas when it is selling for half price, especially after reading your review. Nevertheless, I always wanted to find out more of this train. The reason why I passed out, because I don't owned any train sets or train tracks. In addition, there is no engine included. I think that is the reasons why I did not get it in the first place. I am looking forward to this complete review of yours.

Let's wait patiently until someone confirm a leak source for next year Castle's theme.

LEGO AGENTS - Mission 1: Jetpack Pursuit
WhiteFang replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Since this review is revived, I will like to add in some views too.. I had just bought my first Agent set recently. I realised that this theme offered many interesting playability features. This is a good play set, but certainly not good for you to buy multiple packs for parts. I believe every mission is unique, and should have only one gadget or vehicle each. Since they are Agents, their area of expertise is specialised. What I love most in Mission 1, is the minifigs. I must admit that they look awesome, especially Agent Chase. There are too many stickers needed for such a small set. Anyway, I think it looks good without stickers. Overall, a fun playing set if you have the budget to explore Agents theme. Get it, if you are into setting up 007 plots. -

The Baritones Discussion Thread
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
This is extremely fast. I was about to cast my vote today, and I realised it was all over. Good riddance to the crazy man whom burn down people's houses. -
Opps, I was a little too fast. It took me a few hours to get this done, once I bought it immediately back home. Can't wait to build it and do up this review, since no one has done it yet. You are welcome to do the second review! I hope you will receive your Advent set soon. City lovers like you, sure enjoyed building this Advent Calender.
-
Hello all Eurobricks members and City Lovers Today, I went down immediately to my local stores upon hearing that the advent calenders are readily available in the shops. I had to rush down, just to buy one set from each theme. Name: LEGO CITY Advent Calender 2008 Theme: LEGO / Holiday / Christmas / Advent Calender Year: 2008 Pieces: 196 Minifigs: 10 Price: USD$29.99, GBP 14.99, SGD$36.90 Resources: Brickset, Peeron An image of a 7724 City Advent Calender 2008 Rear box's image 24 Gifts with different surprise Overview of City Advent Calender 2008 The year of opening advent calenders has finally arrived. With 10 distinct minifigs across different industries/jobs in their unique attire, they look so incredbie and lovely. Come to think of it, this is my first time opening up an Advent Calender from a MISB set. Because Advent Calenders is not offically available in Singapore and you will have to buy it via other channels. Nevertheless, I am very excited and happy that this set has finally make their way safely into my residence. The review will be structured in 9 areas of interest. I have never done in this kind of presentation before. Please feel free and comment on its layout as well. Without further ado, I will be taking you through the magical feeling of the Advent Mystery. Area 1: Fireman's Rescue The first area we are bringing you, is the Fireman's Rescue. This set featured a simple tree, included with 3 foilages. a ladder, a lovely kitty, walkie talkie and a brave fireman. I am fond of this set, mainly of the useful parts offered and another kitty added into my animal collections. Area 2: Loading it up for Mr.Bottle The second area we are bringing you, is Mr Bottle's working area. This set featured a cargo/pallet carrier loaded with 9 transparent bottles. It's quite a nice set to have. The only thing I don't like about this set is the lack of wheels, even though the design looks not bad. Area 3: An Explorer in Winterblue The third area we bringing you, is the brave explorer which resembles "Ras74". Now, I am able to construct his sigfig too. I love this set very much. The simple ski design is just so lovely, accompanied with red and white color scheme. Mountain gears and white bag are really some nice accessories to match for your minifig. Area 4: Coast Guard Diver in full gear The fourth area we are bringing you, is the Coast Guard diving underwater. This set featured a nice diver without its oxygen chamber. Using its life vest, I am sure the diver is very crazy to do that. I don't like the propeller due to its flimsy technic parts by the sides. Area 5: Care to join in for a BBQ? The fifth area we are bringing you, is the typical family man setting up the BBQ pit for its family over the weekend. Drumstick, red cup and pot are useful accessories which can be placed in any LEGO residence. The BBQ pit is simple yet it functions pretty well. Area 6: Are you going to tell the truth The sixth area we are bringing you, is the Police Department's interrogation room. Includes a spotlight, handcuffs and camera. It comes with a policeman interrogating the prisoner in cuffs. It is certainly not going to be an easy time for our special guest. Area 7: Delicious aroma great tasty food The seventh area we are bringing you, is "Ivan" or "Erdbeereis1" in his young days whipping up Italian food. Comes with a hot red oven with 2 side dishes which resembles like a pizza and a mini-table top. A nice set to use, for setting up a road side cafe. Area 8: Come get your ice cream The eighth area we are bringing you, is the portable ice cream trolley. A sweet lady selling ice cream at the beach or parks. Storing the ice cream in its cool white container, and placing it on the trolley to travel from one place to another. Area 9: Mr.Snowman & Ms.Alice The last area we are bringing you, is the outdoor area during the winter season where snow is abundant. The little girl known as "Alice" building a white snowman. Seemed lots of fun while building this snowman, especially by adding the black hat and the black broom. Leftovers What is the Baritones doing in this set? On the first look, it reminds me of the recent fun game which is hosted by Hinckley. Do check out the Baritones. Opps, I had side track. Back to the review, I must admit that this is a nice set with lots of useful accessories. For every advent calender collector out there, this is a set not to miss. My favourite area is actually the explorer, snowman and the ice cream girl. I do hope each of you had enjoyed reading this review of mine. Feel free to give me any comments and critics on the set and review itself. Summary review Playability: 7/10 (Depends on how you integrate this mini sets into your town area.) Design: 8/10 (Some design such as the snowman and stove is nicely done.) Price: 9/10 (A nice town builder pack which offer 10 minifigs at a go.) Overall: 8/10 (Minifigs, City and Advent collectors must grab this set.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? Pictures can be found in My Brickshelf (When moderated)

The Baritones Day 4-A Good Man Slain...
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Tragic day! Another fellow good citizen of Moonlight is slain by the Baritones... Damn them. I thought we scored a victory by eliminating the corrupted Mayor. It's a pity that we could not obtain any concerte evidence from his search. Now, we have another fatal among our ranks. I thought we could have a peaceful sleep last night. I was thinking last night, before I turn in. There are many events happening these few days. To re-cap, when Neal was murdered, he was holding 2 briefcase and its video recorder. We managed to recover one briefcase from AI whom is a deceased. The other briefcase and camera is still missing... and the Mayor defintely knew Neal is a FBI, wanting to get rid of him as soon as possible. Since he is the one whom process the charges, the Mayor might knew that we might suspect him. He must have taken pre-caution and handed the evidence to somone within his league. Neal and Veronica are partners. Is there a possibilty that Veronica know something about Neal's gathering? Next, we have evidence to show that among our citizens. There are some of us whom owned the Baritones's lots of debt. In order to clear their debt, they will have to serve their bidding by working with them. We don't know the exact number of Baritones (2 has been elminated) and the traitors. Carter has the possibility of being a traitor, since the note in Neal's briefcase reveal him to be one. Although he has served to eliminate Patty (GodFather) in the night, but we still don't know if Carter has completely cut his contact with the Baritones and not plotting against us in the dark. Therefore, I strongly suggest that we should beware Carter, especially when he voted against someone. It's unfortunate that last night. Trekk was brutally murdered by an unknown Baritones. It seemed this person whom attack Trekk was fully prepared and was familar with Trekk's residence. What I meant is, the person whom attack him has the possibility of knowing his residence very well. Since he is able to seal all possible exits to prevent Trekk from escaping, that is one point we should take note. In addition, he mentioned a random sentence "No, not my winning streak." I had pondered this sentence for a long time... I think he must have noticed something familar... Someone whom he has work with.. This is just my initution and analysis of recent happenings... I do wish we are able to hold it together as one, and prevent the Baritones from misleading us.... -
Santhor, welcome to Eurobricks! It seemed both of us has something similar in common, which is story writing and castle theme. I am particpating EBRP (Eurobricks Roleplay) which involved story writing with your fantasy characters. If you are interested, I will be glad to tell you more. Love to see you particpating in our forums instead of lurking around. EBRP Discussion thread EBRP Story Link WhiteFang

JopieK, "BEST REVIEW" ever done! I agreed with Bonaparte that the way you do is more than just a review! I am so excited to know that someone like you, showing to us this wonderful set which was released during the LEGEND era and it seemed to have limited stocks as well. I had never seen this set before in my country. With this review of yours, I am able to admire the facade of its exterior and interior. It seemed to be very dusty inside. I simply enjoyed viewing these pictures of yours. No more red light appearing in these pictures anymore. These are high quality images. Thanks JopieK for these super review. You have certainly make my day!

No problem! Appartently, your completed review is wonderful. It's nice to go through again and again, looking at these nifty features which provides high playability. If I remembered correctly, I believe this set is your highest rating ever, for the reviews which you have done. You mentioned about spinning? You meant the Death Star can be spin or rotated with a mechanism? You have done an impressive piece of work, to deliver it to EB. Thanks Dunamis!
-
Hi Dunamis! Another nice intensive great review! Thanks for showing how "big" this box really is, comparing with UCS MF. The 4 boxes looked very huge. I never knew LEGO Instruction manuals ever come with spiral binding. I believe this is the first time I had ever seen it. That manual certainly looks very big and heavy. Looking at the close up various photos of Death Star, it looks very very impressive. I wish I am able to afford this set soon. I believe this is one of the best Star War sets ever released to this moment. I will await for your review to be complete. In addition, is there a limit on how many photos we can upload in one post? I don't remember encountering that restriction before. Wonderful job! WhiteFang

Vincent, your mecha mocs never fail to amaze me. This is no exception. The entire construction is similar with its orignal design. From the top to the bottom, you have taken care and considered various key factors very well, such as the wings, legs, fists, wires, blaster very well. I enjoyed viewing this. Thanks for sharing with us.

WhiteFang replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
If I ever going to do an entry, I am very sure to include a sig fig of you in it! -
Among this year and last year Castle theme' sets, this is by far the least liked design from my entire current castle collection. I don't like the design of the wagon, and find it hard to integrate it into my orc armies. It has too many technic parts and the back of the wagon is too bare. The only thing I like about this set, is the addition of green troll and the drumstick. Perhaps, the weapon cart and the 2 soldiers. However, I don't really like these crown torsos very much unlike the scale armor and chainmail version. I will have to give a below average for it. Cagri, thanks for doing up this informative review.
-
Using the palm tree to create 4 sections by making use of green vine and chain to tie them up is an innovative technique to illustrate a raft. With the fire added into it and the pirate scared face, it turns out to be good. In addition, the ocean vig looks nice with these trans-blue bricks!
-
Another outstanding set with a great review. The more I look at your review, the more I wished this set will come soon. There is so much possibilites that I could do with it. There are so many useful accessories for your kingdom, and new addition to your kingdom as well, with the maiden and jester. Can't wait to get hold of this set soon. Thanks Cagri!
-
Do you have any idea whom gift it to you? Indeed, it looks like its from someone's childhood toys which is mixed together with various themes. There are Classic Town torsos, ninja torso, some nice headgears from Aquanuts, harry potter torso. The yellow bucket seemed to be a Fabuland element? I am not very sure, but I think it is. Not really very rare and not really very common as well.
-
Another great divers' review! I simply enjoyed exploring your reviews, looking into deep blue. This small set is lovely, and can be considered as the modern day impulse set. However, with this raft design, it seemed a little too big to contain within the box. This set includes a lovely diver minifig, with its full gear. I can imagine the diver working with the Aqua Raiders. The printed flag is a nice handy part, to signal barriers. With a yellow raft, shark and treasure chest, what more could you ask for? I must admit that this is a great set, to start with if you are intending to go with Divers. The best part is, the fun does not end here. You could integrate the divers into any City or Classic Town era. I think they have done a pretty good job. It's a pity that I missed these entire theme during my dark age. No doubt about this set for me, a "5". Thanks Brickster for showing part 2. EB members, part 3 and 4 is going to be much exciting! Oh, I noticed something special about your poll! Watch out for TheBrickster!

A fine scene, with nice features. It kind of reminds me to put down my commintments, and go for some relax trip in the beach. I agreed with Bonaparte too. It's been 2 years and more, since I had a nice vacation.
