That's is what I am aiming. 5 sets at least, to create a full pledge medieval town set! TLG certainly knows how to make Castle fans all excited right now!!! There are so many possibilites for us to play with. I will love to place my skeleton armies, looting the borders village.

Thanks!! Now, the next problem will be, does it ever available in Singapore? We don't have access or option to purchase in Shop@Home at all. I have to pray very very hard for this set to appear in the retail stores down here. If it ever come, I will make sure this set as my number 1 target!

Land ahoy! Let's welcome Classic Pirates in "Bloggers" style. I am very sure it will be exciting for all Pirates' lovers out there. The entire layout and feel does not differ far away from current Classic Pirates. In fact, it's a great new feature to deliver news, reviews, mocs in this approach. Congrats to all of you whom has contributed to the success of Classic Pirates.com and setting a new milestone.

DNL, your WIP entry is really very good. There are a couple of nifty details which you have done well such as the fortress wall, docks, and the hanging crane (whatever it should be called) I am looking forward to your complete entry.

WhiteFang replied to Adam's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi thinkdoodle, welcome to EB. I have seen you before, with this impressive stop motion video in the local community. It's a real nice video, makes me think that the building process is very fast with the fast forwarding. Do drop by here to introduce yourself with the EB Community. I do hope you will share with us, more of your video productions. -
Could you show us a reference picture which you are referring to? I don't really remember seeing "stars" before.

The Baritones Day 7-Grave Mistakes
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Opps, I must be watching too many Dragonators! (OOC: I am fine of delaying it a little longer since Draggy is away. We will let Hinckley decide the outcome.) I had shared some of my deepest thoughts, when I was doing a painting earlier. Perhaps, it was all just a concidence, but somehow it makes a little sense when you piece it together. Of course, we will need to be certain, given enough time and evidence, we will be able to justify our findings and assumptions accordingly. -
The Baritones Day 7-Grave Mistakes
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Been thinking back and forth, time is running short for us in Day 7. By the way, where is Darlene? (OOC: He has not login in for quite sometimes, I wonder where is he.) We are at the crossroads right now, where all of us are really at our wits end.. If we are not able to convict someone soon, we are giving the Baritones, a chance to attack us at night... My suspicions is based on assumptions and gut feel, that either the construction company (since Baritones need to engage someone to coordinate with the other workers) or Baritones among them, has a habit of fighting power among each other. It's no surprise to them, that changing Godfathers can be so easily replaced by anyone. To be exact, the Godfather role can be considered as the leader in charge of all Baritones, regardless of whom it shall be passed on within them or outside. I am not trying to pinpoint anyone in particular. I am only stating what are the likely possiblites. I have very limited information on this area.. I need to find some inspiration on my painting to draw the clouds away from my thoughts. Sigh.... Add on: Steve and Dillion, can I ask you guys something? Does your construction helmet's color mean anything or represent any position in the company? Sky's instincts: I am suspecting, and my assumptions may or may not be correct, as I ponder deeply. How do we know which Godfather is passed on to the next one... Iris escaped, by using cement truck, leaving the driver whom is from the construction company, wearing an orange helmet. Take note of the earlier question which I asked, and compared with the 3 construction workers in Moonlight. Dillion is the one, whom is wearing orange helmet. Is this a hint from Iris that Dillion should be taking over as "Godfather"? Or you might agrue that Dillion is the Foreman among you guys. None of us can be certain for sure. It might be a concidence and I may be wrong on this. -
Happy Birthday, Mr Strawberry Teacher and Brainbox!!! Have a great and enjoyable one! Erdberries, your family is awesome cool! Looking at that huge lots of LEGO! I wished someone could gift me these!

ARTICLE: Set Design, Playability, and Other Considerations
WhiteFang replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Town
Excellent article! First of all, it's an enjoyable read for a well written article like this. Thanks Brickster. Let me go through my thoughts and add on to yours, What really get me going to buy and determine my LEGO sets? (Please note that my replies has extended out of Classic Town's range and given a conclusive answer on overall LEGO Selection.) 1) It will have to be minifigs. The attractiveness of the minifigs in terms of its overall appeal and integration of the minifigs into my collection of minifigs which I owned, by creating a play scene with endless possibilites. In addition, minifigs' design will have to look realistic, yet retain the beauty of it. That is the main selling point, of any LEGO sets. Without minifigs included, it will never be the same. 2) The theme overall concept must be creative and appealing to mass audience. It don't have to be something extraordinary. Something simple, modern and a little bit of imagination will likely to do the job even better. Yes, the current Castle Fantasy theme is ideal and is my biggest purchases ever bought for one single theme. I am a Castle collector, and this theme works well for me. Whenever a theme interest me greatly, I will not leave out a single set ever, and will go forward with mass multiple sets purchase such as army building sets to build a huge army of different weapons' battalion. Other themes, such as CITY and upcoming Pirates are my other themes' consideration as well. Why do I considered them? Looking at the 2009 pictures, they are listening to what fans like us, really wants. For sure, theme plays a major role in your selection, especially integrating the sets across various theme. What I have done with my playsets, such as doing this various combinations. (Use your imagination) --> Indiana Jones and Aqua Raiders --> CITY, Batman and Agents --> Castle, Vikings and Ninja 3) Next consideration factor, will be design. With minifigs and theme in place, if the design does not attract consumers, eventually it will still not attract enough purchases, especially multiple purchases. Let's take the recent Castle sets such as King Castle Siege and Dwarves Mine. Both of these sets are very good designs which has taken playability and concept into consideration. The sets which include a variety of buildings and vehicles must be spread out among the theme. Same for Classic Town and CITY, do both themes have anything in common? Of course they do, we need civillians, vehicles, buildings of different areas and interest. As you may agrued that cars' design for example, such as the lack of doors had always been one of the critical factors which we had complained about when compared against the older designs. Even though the return of doors will be a little harder, but the overall design and feel, must be able to combine to present an integrative look. To be honest, I had not try to play both eras together on a tabletop. Brickster, you had given me some inspiration to play with, to try out classic town buildings and current CITY theme, to be placed side by side on your table town. In fact, Creators set such as the Red House and Holiday Villa are great houses. I don't see why Classic Town citizens couldn't live in a bigger residence. All in all, it will have to depend the buyer itself, to determine its true design value 4) Pricing is a very senstive issue down here. Everyone will love to pay an affordable price for your dream LEGO set. To determine the pricing, everyone of us will have a price tag for every set which you are willing to pay for. Anything lower, will defintely be a bonus. Anything higher, will be something to considered. Same thing applys on your LEGO set, looking at the above 3 factors which I had highlighted, and place them into clear perspective and compare with your budget you had for this month, and asked yourself this question, "Are you willing to buy this set for any of the reasons above? If yes, just go ahead. If no or unsure, think about it and give yourself some thought. If price is the main factor, you will have to priortise your purchases and establish how much you want this set badly. 3 5) Value is your own perception. As long you see value in this set, that set will defintely have value. I can write my claims and enforce the recent Gas Station is a good set which reminds us of the old SHELL station set. However, others might not think that way. In simple words, your views on any sets will determine the "true value". No one can do that for you. 6) As for the rest of the factors, these are just secondary considerations and is not crucial in my selection purchase. Other things which I considered as sub factors, are baseplates and printed tiles. If I can think of any, I will add onto it. I think I had written my reply in a very long and winding manner. -
Am I too late to drop in my request? I had just pmed you.

Wow! All the Classic Castle minifigs are making me so envy of you! This is a great find!

The Baritones Day 7-Grave Mistakes
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
This is a rather difficult position to be faced.. Being a good citizen in Moonlight does not going to help much to get me off the suspects' list. Due to the very fact that I can't go outside doing all these kind of "actions" during the night. With the limited information I have, I could only make conclusions with the evidences presented to me and re-construct it in a logical manner. Whoever you had decided, it will be best to carry on, with a judgement with substantial evidence, than leaving this day gone, without a vote... giving the last Baritones a chance to kill us.... I had my own doubts on others, but it's just my conjunction that leads to wild speculation.. To add on, I agreed with Dillion's agruement. As you can see, Carter has earned himself for revealing the first godfather. Are we sure that he has completely not associating with himself with the Baritones anymore? We don't even know whether the Baritones has internal conflict within themselves as in whom to take over the reins of power. No offence, Carter... This is just one of my wild speculation. -
The Baritones Discussion Thread
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
DJForce Florence, thanks for explaining your characters' ability to us. I am sure, at the end of the game, everything will be put into right persepctive for us to understand. I believe everyone of us has many questions in our mind, as in why the game is like this or like that. We see things from our own point of view, and there are certain things which we will never understand until at the end of the game. It's similar, when I was a particpant of Mystery Castle. -
The Baritones Day 7-Grave Mistakes
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
What I meant is, Stan was defintely murdered by a Baritones, and that is what I suspected. I don't think citizens have the ability to kill someone in broad daylight in the midst of our discussion... To add on, Iris was the first person to inform us of the "arsonist" presence... How could she ever know that? She may have obtain concerete evidence and mount a discussion with their members, and remove the arsonist which may pose a threat to the Baritones' existence if Stan had burned one of them down instead of the citizens. It was lucky for the Baritones to make use of the Arsonist to burn down both of our citizens, even though AI was working for the Baritones. I am looking at the actions' but making some assumptions. There are no day-time killings.. until Stan and Pete was shot down in the past 2 days. Initally, I think a citizen will have such ability to do so, but I don't think we are powerful enough to handle such cruel manners like the Baritones. Somehow, this sleeping Baritone has awoke from his/her slumber. If my assumptions are right, this last member could have the ability to kill a citizen day or night.... I know, by giving such assumption won't help the situation much. The point is, if we don't take actions fast, we will be gunned down the same way. Is there anyone whom can provide some of their analysis? -
That picture above, reminded me of 6390 Main Street in modern CITY theme. This is a review done by Brickster.

The Baritones Day 7-Grave Mistakes
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Night has been rather peaceful at my residence... I am very worried that the last Baritones seemed to have an "unique ability" of killing someone in the day, instead of the night. Maybe, I am reading in too deep... Take a look, Pete was gunned down in broad daylight... It could be a possiblity that the person whom done that, might be a Citizen too . Stan, the arsonist has been killed during the day. It can't be random shooting... Unfortunately, we have limited knowledge of our abilites... This is not going to deter us... There is only a few clues left... Ivan, someone attacked you while you are checking out someone and someone assaulted you? Carter was affilated with the Baritones, by owning them heavy debts, but have eliminate the first "Godfather", Patty for us. I need to sit down, and organise my thoughts again. Let me find my brush... Add on: Just thought of something, perhaps the person whom killed Stan could be a Baritones too... Anyway, I don't think citizens are blessed with such powerful ability. My reasoning could be, the Baritones could have aim Stan as they might knew he is the Arsonist... How I think I know? Because Iris is one of the Baritones whom knew clearly that is the Arsonist, and shared with the rest. Stan, the arsonist takes no side... That's why, the Baritones see him as a threat, and feared he might burned down their gang members... -
I agreed with Black Rabbit. No need to be panic. I am sure we will see some pics soon in the midst of October, quoted by LegoMilk. Whether its Elves or something new, as long it's still stick with the current Castle Fantasy theme, it can't be that far worse that KK era.

By far, I believed this is one of your most outstanding mocs, I had seen from you. The entire moc is done in a very creative manner, with different parts using together to illustrate the beautiful scenery. It's looks real great. I had always enjoyed viewing Japan's mocs. With the trans-plates to form up the waterfall, sakura flowers, rock formation, mini bridge and shed are some notable areas. Very good job.

The Penguin's Batman Comic Story....
WhiteFang replied to The Penguin's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Great starting! I love how you retain and manage the lightning to illustrate the night scene. It's done very well. This picture is my favourite, and it immediately reminds me of the recent Dark Knight movie, speaking with Gordon. Keep up the good work. More importantly, you are able to display the mysterious batman touch. -
I had promised myself to get myself involved with Batman theme whenever possible, before it ever discontinued. I don't want to look back in time, and blame myself for holding a set which I pondered for a long time due to budget constrain, ending up miss one of the greatest theme ever. (That's what happened to me with Spiderman theme) I will not buy multiple sets though, but at least one set is sufficient enough. Most of my crazy multiple purchases revolved in my Castle theme. I think you are referring to Arkam Asylum. With that wide range of figures, I wished I had more money to spare, and gotten it earlier... Yes, you are right. I do love that set very much. In fact, I am thinking of finding the two-face set and the asylum set. I certainly wished that TLG will continue Batman theme for at least one more year, and give us the best ever... The Harley Quinn and the Tumbler are . By the way, classic Batman villians are still my fave, unlike some uncommon ones.

Since you have quoted me, I will add on to my views. Actually, I had found the "Fleshie" hagrid to construct Hinckley's minifig. I bought the last piece in Toyhunt (Great World City) for approx $11.00, I think. I can't remember how much I pay for it. Appartently, that Hagrid seemed to have taken from the 5378. I will rather you buy this castle since its on 50% discount, and it's worth the while to keep the rest of the figs and building for other purposes. It's a very good buy. If you are bending to get only the figure, do give Toyhunt a call before going down. In addition, you can always try Secret Chamber at level 1 from Thomson Plaza too. The price can be a little steep though... If you need more help with it, do let me know. I can always help you to keep a look out. Of course, Bricksworld and Simply Toys are my main sources too.
