  1. I can't imagine its outcome! Zorro, I believed only staff are able to award titles.
  2. Cagri, it's never too late to drop a welcome. I thought you had introduced yourself one year ago. It's nice to know that you enjoyed the Reviewers Academy, and is aiming to strive to be a teacher, wearing a gold tag one day. Keep up the good work. As always, your reviews are enjoyable to read. See you around.
  3. Personally, I think LEGO Mafia games are much representative and able to demostrate the entire story flow in an enjoyable reading and interactive experience for all of us. For the past 2 mafia games which I had particpated, it was indeed a very fun experience.
  4. Hey ISC, Land ahoy! Now, I discovered one of the creative castle builder, building a Pirates' moc. It looks real wicked, with that small entry of yours. How wicked can it be, when your entry immediately reminded me of Indiana Jones' face sticking out of its sandy ground, allowing red fire ants to rip the flesh out of his head. Ouch, that's sound pretty bloody. Locking the maiden up, looking at her lover facing the brink of death, torturing by the cruelsome Captain, is a good idea which is suitable for the contest's objective. I think you have did a great job. Tweaking a little bit, to improve your entry, will defintely be its palm tree. It will be better if the leaves are extended or make used of palm leaves instead. It looks a little bare, with the current foilage. Add in a little bit of yellow sand and stone, in between to break the contrast from the blue coast and the sandy beach. I am sure the effect will look a little better. Keep up the good work! WhiteFang
  5. If we are ever wrong, we will be pointing guns among each other, with lack of concrete evidence. Seriously, I really hope we are spot on to end the tragic in Moonlight.
  6. With combined clues and the scenario above, I am almost 100% certain that Carter is the one... Damn him, for fooling us all, with his "heroic" feat.... We only need one vote more to condemn him, right?
  7. We trusted Carter too much right from the start.... and it lead to a fatal mistake, which I had speculate wrongly and caused Dillion's death for misjudging... We need to settle this soon. It's getting obvious and we must end the last Baritones before it end us all. There is only 5 of us left and I don't wish to see any of the innocents to waste another live again.... There could be a possibility that Carter could be the final cultprit. For example, Carter could submit his earlier actions and declare that he will be with the Baritones side since he was "forced" by the Baritones initally. There must be some internal disucssion among them which we are not well aware of. Assuming that Carter has a choice to be with the citizens or the Baritones to determine the win of the game, which caused us a strategic diversion, which ended up thinking less suspicion of him, even till the end of the game even though he was the one whom killed the first godfather. In fact, when Patty was killed, it started off a chain of "Godfather" successions. Perhaps, it was all planned. No one in Moonlight is allowed to hold guns during curfew. Apart from the Baritones, the Mayor kept a gun with him, and used it against Neal earlier, and was convicited the next day and was declared as a Baritones. Who else in Moonlight have weapons in their possession, except Carter? It's getting clearer... I know I have an imaginative mind, with a creative drawing to illustrate... This is just an artist's life... In addition, Ivan and Darlene is the only ones around, whom have possible night actions to intervene and investigate at the night. I am sure they are the ones whom know the situation best. I will follow suit, and this is my conclusion to Carter's judgement. Vote: Carter/Skinny Boy
  8. Nice design. Florence DJForce, I like the LDD designs you have done. Both vehicles, especially the red corvette look good for a LDD design. It's a pity that the price is a little steep, and this Factory feature is not available in my country. I will hope that you will purchase your own design and shared with us some nice nifty pictures.
  9. Hi Fat Tony, I wanted to comment this much earlier ago. Finally, I am able to add on to your this terrific small entry. To be honest, I think you have did a great job with your improvements. It certainly looks much better, with its brownish color scheme, by using brown barrels to illustrate the creaky tall crane to hold its half dead or almost dead prisoner in mid air. The cage looks wicked, with a nice touch of that crow feeding on its flesh. The unbearable pain, of stucking in the small little cage, with no food and water, starving and finally met its doom. Leaving its death humiliated by the living, the corpse is placed there to serve as a warning to others. The minifig was a good illustration of my thoughts above when I viewed your entry. The hangman looks keen to execute its prisoner, releasing the plank below and face its death. Very good design considerations such as the neat little knot, the handcuffs, the gravel flooring and the opened plank. This is a very fine entry with minimum flaws. The only thing, I will actually add on, is by adding sharp white horns at the floor below. In case, the rope snapped, the prisoner will have no way to survive. Talking about "double death". I am not sure it will actually fit the entire concept, fearing it might ruin its orignality. Nevertheless, this is just a thought of what I will add if this was my entry. Looking forward to your rest of the entries. WhiteFang
  10. Hey Lego12, Nice to see your first entry in the PTV contest. Since this is the WIP entry, I am very sure you will have more surprising add-ons for us to admire. Meanwhile, let me go around your entry and evaluate accordingly. Your entry certainly has attained the objective of PTV, which is cruelty and savage killing in the jungle. Rampage can be seen from the top of the building to the ground. Indeed, it's gruelsome. However, it will be nice if you improved and makes it look much outstanding among the rest. How to do so? Get a 32x32 green baseplate and build your jungle with that scale since this entry is meant to submit to "Large Divison". Add more trees, foilages, into your landscape to illustrate the jungle feeling. Take a look at Brickster's Jungle Adventure for some inspiration. At the start, I had mentioned that you have done well for your savage slaughter, but the overall feeling makes the viewer giddy at the same time. This entry does not give me a focal point for my eyes to orientate from a certain direction such as top left to top right. It looks messy. I will advice you to create "vivid killing scenes" of your brutal slaughter such as focusing a few islanders which is putting up a futile struggle against its attackers. The black tower, in the midst could modify into a treetop house by using brown bricks and foilage to create a guard post and prison cage. This is just a suggestion of mine, to improve its appearence and blend it into your jungle concept. Keep it up. I am looking forward to your completed entry. WhiteFang
  11. Hinckley, thanks for listing out the new 15 female minifigs which will be coming in 2009. Can't wait to discover these minifigs. Female minifigs are very handy to be included and diversify across your playsets as it's pretty uncommon. I must admit that TLG is doing very well, to capture the hearts' of every LEGO fan out there. Thanks Freddie. I am supposed the new Pirate girl is one "tough looking". I am impressed.
  12. Guys, great observation on the new "fire plume". It's a great new part. It's nice to see how TLG is taking us fans' comments and views seriously, and deliver us an instant hit that simply wow us all! This set shall not escape my wraith!
  13. Gladiator, your army is indeed massive. My Crown army building project, is aiming to be like yours. Hopefully, I am able to complete my 9 Battalions and shared with you guys, my progress too. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing!
  14. Thanks Hinckley for that update. If there is no Elves sets next year, there is a possibility for 2010's design, provided that TLG will continue Fantasy Castle theme to its 4th year. I certainly hope they will continue to do so. This theme has lots of potential. With this piece of news, I am sure we will see an "expansion" on current Castle sets' design, with new add-ons. It will also means more "Town sets" which we have seen earlier such as the Medieval Market Villiage. More playsets which may involved in building and vehicles types in Orcs, Humans, Dwarves or Skeleton. Nevertheless, we have seen the first set to be reveal in 2009, and it's certainly is one of the most promising and outstanding set ever released. These are my exact thoughts too!
  15. It's because you are "draggy" around. Seriously, welcome back! Thanks! Your feedback is very useful and valuable to our EB News Team. This is a new style that I have attempt for this installment. Right now, I am trying to find the right catalyist to mix the whole production in a right and entertaining manner. I agreed with you that the EB News Review is lacking of views, thoughts, comments, analysis on the actual set itself. I am trying to incorporate my way of writing reviews and EB News Review presentation into a much value added review itself. I will try and include my opnions and thoughts on the set itself, and stir some great entertainment for this production. Without any of us here, this production won't be a box office at all, I think. We need Staudie to be the "Star" for our highlights. Shadows' jokes are always filled with smart humor for our readers to amuse on. Go and hunt Stauder for some interviews! I had reminded him few days ago. As for the next EB News Reviews, I had not begun to plan yet. Hope I am able to find time to work on.
  16. Gladiator, thanks for your thumbs up for that review. I am so glad you find it very useful. Somehow, I managed to understand what you are trying to type, especially "BW". If it's other members, they might be scratching their head. I assumed you are working in Singapore, since you are able to buy it from BW. To be honest, I thought I am crazy enough just to buy 2 sets of these. You bought 3 sets?? How much did you get it for? Indeed, it's one of the greatest castle chess set ever released. Now, the Market Village is on its way, I am sure this set will knock off all previous sets, in terms of rating.
  17. I will like to give it a try too, and contribute my thoughts and views on their particpating entries.
  18. Gladiator, welcome to Eurobricks. Our countries are very near to each other. I am from Singapore. Glad to see another Asian counterparts, to join in this interactive community. I am a castle fan myself too, and I am looking forward to your input in our History and Adventure forum. See you around.
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks! Looking at your sigfig, you must be interested in Classic Castle as well. Glad to have another Castle lover in here. See you around!
  20. It look black to me. Perhaps, my eyes is playing tricks on me. It's getting extremely late on my side. By the way, I love this maiden torso too.
  21. My assumption will be NZD$160 to $170. It will be likely within this range. I used Aust's pricing to do a rough estimation since its AUS$149.90 (Refer to first post) Similar to Singapore's pricing, I suspect mine will be much closer to SGD$190 to $200. Sigh, it will be another expensive set for collectors in my country.
  22. If there is none to be convincted tonight, there will be a chance that someone will be dead tonight. We will have to take chances. Dillion, I am sorry. Vote: Dillon / Sir Dillon
  23. Orc Queen and a new Human Queen. Oh my gosh, TLG is seriously digging our pockets for 2009 sets. I must admit that they are going to release the best of the Castle sets. The Golden Age of Castle era, has finally arrived.
  24. We are so spoilt for choice! It seemed we will have to re-evaluate our purchase carefully. There are so many great sets for 2008 line up. An outstanding piece of art! It involved lots of new building technique, such as the trees, chicken, buildings, and etc. Although some of these techniques can be seen in other users' mocs, but I believe this is the first time TLG is using such approach to market and construct their sets.
  25. To be honest, for such an amazing outstanding terrific set, the price is extremely reasonable for a typical LEGO collector. There are many superb features included in this never been seen before set! More importantly, a market village. Now, that is something very new for all of us to accept. TLG has heard the voices of all castle collectors. That's is what we really dream of, and it's a dream come true!
