  1. TinyPieRUs, your photos amaze me. I am very impressed with your night scene. It's depict a dark night, yet illustrate such clear vivid picture with the church and assault in it. On another note, I agreed with what Hinckley had mentioned above. "OOC" is not supposed to be used unless its neccessary vital or important to make that little extra comment. Otherwise, please refrain from using OOC. It confused other players, thinking whether your OOC should be considered as a statement of your particpation in your character's involvement or simply just adding some funny comments at a regular basis. In the game thread, every single word a player typed are carefully judged by others. In order not to make the player's life diffcult by typing many OOC and create a confusion among the rest, doubting the player's statement whether it is credible or not, and eventually annoying the rest with a later convinction. In this way, players are not casting their votes logically based on evidence but based on the amount of OOCs used. It's fun to use OOC, but it's more fun to post your statements by voicing out from your individual roles. IMHO, I think that is the real fun of any Mafia game. Thanks!
  2. Hi Kris Kelvin, welcome to Eurobricks! I saw that amazing barracks creation of yours earlier in our Classic Pirate forum. It's very impressive and wonderful. I do hope you will share with us more of such mocs. Enjoy your stay with us. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and we will be glad to help you.
  3. Yes, I remember it was the Elves impulse set contest. I particpated in that contest too. As what KimT had mentioned, I won't mind waiting until 2010 to look forward to some elves set. Meanwhile, let's wait for the amazing outstanding castle sets next year.
  4. The weekly comic, is a teaser for most of us down here, whom want to find out what is the next sequence and can only view it next week. Well, I think it's a great idea to do up such weekly comic strip. I am sure most of us whom have been following your series will not mind waiting for it, since we waited for such a long time. Real entertaining and enjoyable to read.
  5. Sandy, I am impressed even though I don't play Soulcalibur. Looking at these images make me want to find out more about this game. I think you have done in the minifig customisation and photo editing by placing the orignal characters by its side which make the entire flow looks outstanding! I think you have done well, so far I really love Xianghua. She is awesome cool, and certainly resemble the orignal creation the most. Keep it up!
  6. Our soldiers had indeed avert a disaster last night and we will ensure that our guards are taking care of the villagers' safety. It's fortunate that we could stop yesterday. Now, can we keep up with the witches' plot to prevent another attempt killing tonight? There is 2 possibilites that the mystery dark person carrying a musket, could be either a good villager trying to eliminate Alexander whom suspect to be a witch or someone truly wanting Alexander dead... None of our soldiers are equipped with a musket. All of us are equipped with sword as musket are too expensive for our small village to maintain. Alexander, please be wary of yesterday incident. Unfortunately, we could not increase the men to protect you 24 hours. I am casting my doubts on the latecomers itself. First of all, what happened to our dear Bernand? Tell us what happened...
  7. Hi Inigo, welcome to Eurobricks. Glad that you have discovered one of the most happening areas where you can check LEGO mocs, reviews, news and etc. We have many helpful members around to help you if you have any question. Do check out our Space and Town forums as I am sure there are many topics which could be of interest to you. By the way, where are you from? And, how old are you? I am supposed these useful links such as Brickset or Peeron will be helpful to your current catalog process.
  8. Will like to take a moment to congrats to all of you whom have particpated in the Community Castle Build. Looking at the ongoing discussions from selecting of castle layout to the team divison, it certainly make me feel that the entire EB Castle Community is working together to make this dream a reality. This is an impressive community project which our own EB members should be proud of. ISC, this is a great idea and I will defintely follow your updates even though I could not particpate directly. If a day ever come, hope I will help out by contributing. Everyone, keep up the good work and let's show everyone that we are able to finish this wonderful creation. Perhaps, one day, all of us with individual sections will come together in an EB Event and combine them together, to show the rest what one true community built castle really be look like?
  9. Brickster, what is Johnny Thunder doing over in our LEGO Trains & Town forum? Oh, I remembered this review is for our Halloween month in our haunted town. Another great and interesting review brought by Brickster. This is a very nice set which include several useful items for such an affordable price. The palm tree, pistol, rifle, brown spear, scorpion, map, the 1x4 egyptian hieroglyphs, black treasure chest and etc. The usual suspects in the Oasis Ambush is our hero, Johnny Thunder and its villian. One of our surprise guest is the dead pharaoh. This is indeed a fun playing set, which has a simple design yet offer playability with it, especially the trap feature. To be honest, I had never seen this set before and I must thank you again for showing it to us in this wonderful review of yours.
  10. Your classic sets which have missing pieces, will have to be discussed in the academy to determine how "incomplete" will it be as we will have some mini discussion in there. Meanwhile, if you have other complete sets which you are interested to write a review, it's highly recommended to do so. On the other note, I am looking forward to those mentioned sets above. If you have other sets which are complete, it's very useful for a good start in the academy. Therefore, if you are interested to find out more about Reviewers Academy and has met the above conditions, feel free to indicate your interest and we will let you in. Oh, you don't have to worry about paying course fees.
  11. To be honest, giving a summary for all players is hard, especially the amount of reading I have to do with such limited amount of time I had. I had actually been trying to follow and do a EBRP Faction Summary at the link above. It's actually involving you to create a fiction characters in the kingdom which your character is associated to and write a story about it and interact it with other players if the current story plot did not colide with it. For now, there is quite a lot of kingdoms which are available for other players to use. In fact, you can join any kingdom you wish, such as being part of Black Knights Kingdom or Dragon Masters Kingdom. The disadvantage will be, there is a hierarchy actually developed by current players and is being continued at the moment. You can create a mysterious traveler or whatever, look at the character thread for some inspiration. If you have new character to post into EBRP, feel free to post. I am supposed you are familar with the character thread format. Do read the first post for some refresher. EBRP General Information and Character Thread A sample of one of my Characters in EBRP
  12. My personal recommendation will be reviewing sets which are complete. If the set is not complete, you must highlight in your review that the parts used are supposed to be part of the set but is not present in the review presentation of yours. Some of my Classic Town Reviews which I had done earlier, is incomplete or replaced by other parts. 6358 Snorkel Squad 4010 Police Boat This can be accepted with exception "if" the set is an old classic set which is out of production. The incomplete set must not have more than 5 parts missing from it, as it will deem to be an obvious incomplete set. Could you tell me what are the sets you are intending to do for a review in the academy? To add on, Reviewers Academy welcome multiple reviews on a same sets unless that set is reviewed more than 5 times, and we will normally advice you to construct a new review on other sets.
  13. This is one impressive barracks. Viewing it at my first glimpse, I thought the red looking brick-built house, is not LEGO designed. In fact, it was so well constructed that I can't believe that the builder had actually aligned the red tiles across each level and he has defintely done a great job! The wooden shed is a nice addition. With the army marching out and platoons lining up, I must admit that this is one of the nice looking Barracks to be admire in Classic Pirates.
  14. Within the academy, go and read "READ ME FIRST" as your first topic. Post your questions into the respective pinned topics. The teachers will answer your question from there.
  15. This is a nice looking apocalypse scene. That crawler does resemble abit of Exo-Force. I had moved this topic from the Space Theme to Other Themes, as Apocalypse is under Other Themes in EB. Thanks for sharing with us.
  16. EB Members, if you wish to know more Nannan? He was actually featured in our EB News in August.
  17. Hi Nannan, welcome to Eurobricks! I had seen you before in local Singapore forum before, and that was the first time when your mocs were displayed and make your presence there. It's nice to see you join up EB, and decided to be a member yourself. Feel free to share your amazing creations with our members and I am looking forward to your particpation as well. Btw, congrats for being a LA.
  18. Hi Kamil. Looking at your vintage sets which you have shared early, certainly have prompted me to ask you to share some nice reviews with us. I am interested to find out those old classic vintage town sets such as the 600. It will be a worthy addition into our Town Index. If you are curious about reviews, feel free to join up Reviewers Academy. Have a nice stay in Eurobricks.
  19. Suddenly, the wind was blowing strongly and windows are rattling at its edges.
  20. It's really interesting to see different members' views towards this wierd looking design. I don't really fond of this set and I never understood why I had this set in my collection. I wanted to do this review, to help EB to complete its Town index. IMO, any set which is designed by LEGO should be given its attention as long its constructed by bricks and minifigs. There are some whom love this monster truck concept, while some felt that it's wierd and similar to clone brand. Well, I have mixed feelings of both. I just use this truck for operations purposes for high key missions though. I don't expect this set to score high marks in the poll, but I am expecting what the rest felt. If I remembered correctly, that period was actually the dark age for LEGO and fans like me and others whom had been through that period.
  21. The lights are flicking and the grandfather clock is ticking..
  22. Wow, I am glad to know that there are some other players whom are interested in EBRP too. In the past, I used to write situation update for my own story plot. As for the rest of the ongoing plots, it's a little confusing as some of the other players are not very active. I do need quite a lot of time, to really sort and read and it will take quite a long time. I am trying to do a summary which is good for the current developing kingdoms which has been done. This is WIP index which I am working on, and had been left there due to other commintments. Link to the EBRP Faction Summary Yes! I wonder what Siloux had been up to, ever since he left Neb Monastery. Symbol of the Nine! Khorne, welcome back after your long break! I love the new banner for the EBRP Faction Summary. It looks nice. Thanks!!
  23. I will like to give thumbs up to the following, for their outstanding shipping and excellent condition! +1 for CopMike (I should have given you, long ago) +1 for SuvieD (The package content is superb in excellent condition, I am loving it!) Thanks guys!
  24. I think you should post what your character "Serigo" should be doing, and refrain from adding unneccessary comments in the game or out of the game, to create misunderstandings among players and the rest. Sit back and enjoy this interactive mafia game from TinyPiesRUs.
  25. Hello all Eurobricks members and Town Lovers, Today, I will be doing up a review on 4WD Police Patrol. This is a "big-size" small set which belong to the Police Department back in Year 2000. 4WD Police Patrol is also known as 4-Wheel Drive vehicle type that is part of the Police vehicles collection. It's not very common to see such big patrol vehicle patrolling the streets. I can't even classify it as a car. Name: 4WD Police Patrol Theme: LEGO System / Town / City Center Year: 2000 Pieces: 29 Minifigs: 1 Price: USD$5.00 An image of a 6471, 4WD Police Patrol Monster Truck heading your way! From the first look of this set, can you even imagine that this monster belong to a Police Department? It is supposed to be used for patrolling the streets. At such a tall height, I barely doubt that the driver will be able to spot anyone or anything which is under its mudguard. It looks like a tanker on the road which is meant for special operation purposes. In fact, I think this 4WD is too tall. I wonder why the Police needs such tough vehicle on the streets? Accessing to the vehicle The difference in height between the driver and the vehicle is quite great. Look at how difficult it is, for the policeman to "climb" onto the vehicle. This policeman require special ops training to handle this vehicle. Close view of the tyre Placing the tyre beside the policeman clearly shows that he need to have strong muscle to replace a flat tyre. Otherwise, he will not be able to move it. I can't imagine whom is the personnel maintaining this. Police Personnel Introduction Equipping with a police leather jacket pattern with his shiny gold badge placed on his left chest. I believe this is the standard uniform which is worn by the Police Department back in the late 1990s. There is nothing unique about this set, apart from the blue loudspeaker which is useful for police personnel and the printed car mudguard. The mudguard has a Police Yellow star badge and headlights pattern printed on it. This part is very uncommon as it's only available in 1297 and 6549 only. Different angles of the vehicle Civillans' close encounter Patrolling together with the miniature police car Placing the 1247 together certainly shows a big difference in size. This set is good to have and get it if you happened to have spare cash to throw around. Most 4WD vehicles do not have very big tyre. In fact, I felt this set can be classified under monster truck category. I never understood why I had this set in my collection in the first place. Must be one of the random things which had happened to me back then. Summary review Playability: 6.5/10 (New type of police vehicle to be added to your collection.) Design: 3.5/10 (Design is very poor especially on its height contrast.) Price: 7.5/10 (An inexpensive set to get some policeman or big size vehicle.) Overall: 5.8/10 (Get it if you need to complete this entire theme.) I gave it a "3" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? Hope everyone of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Critics are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Brickshelf (When moderated)
