    Beautiful realistic model. I just checked on their site (sorry in German): the prototype has/had these front windows. the weird thing is that it looks as if it only has them in the front. Go figure...

    Beautiful model. I think that what makes it look a bit short is that the end of the cowling's downward curve just behind the rear driving wheel is just a bit too shallow. What would the model look like if instead of the lower 2x4 wedge plate, one would put a 2x3 wedge plate?

    I really like the articulated version. It gives an impression of power without being overly massive. I bet that an actual version runs quite well on R40 curves.

    Nice virtual build. I'd love to see it in real bricks. Do you have a better picture of the prototype? It mightily looks like a BB9200...

    My layout has both 7 and 8 wide trains. Most of my current freight rolling stock is made out of 2 axle 7 wide wagons. Basically, the 7 wide locomotives are smaller units (a br64 for instance) and do not look too much out of place with the larger 8 wide ones.

    As far as I can tell a train could have more than one of these cars with brakehouses/brakeperson: they whould be placed around heavy/brakeless cars. They were quite frequent in the times before compressed air brakes.

    Wow. You really caught the essence of this "broken nose" locomotive. I had to look at real world pictures in order to find differences.

    That idea of an extra small wheel is pretty slick. Especially if one has some side panels to hide the extra bits.

    Very nice. You could try adding the orange (Arzens) color scheme. Adding a motor might be complex if one wants to keep the current wheelbase and lower decorations.

    I had to include him since I had to lubricate the gear trains in order for the thing to move without squeaking

    This post has been dormant for quite a while. I was remidned of its existence when @brick-builds exended another of my old ones. So, this is not anymore a WIP. After a (far too) long shelving, I finally finished the project last spring during lockdown and... again forgot about it. Here is a quick video of the finished loc: du Brisquet by fstengel4, sur Flickr It is only pulling 3 cars since I had to move the whole lot to get more light.

    If I look at the photos, it seems that wire is on the outside of the bogie just under the axles. It is as if it was linking the brake shoes...

    Nice, If I understand well, you are controling your train using an ESP8266 via WiFi with an android app. How are you driving the motor(s)?

    Nice! Captures the spirit of a class 37. One could try for a wasp livery by replacing the lowermost (or highest) bricks with a 3 plate yellow-black-yellow sandwich.
