  1. Or dark bluish grey - Nick, Friar, Myrtle and the Grey Lady all have some light and dark gluish grey on them so if the worst comes to the worst there are two colours to pick from. Right now I quite like Unkar's Thug for the silver stains, most of the torso is covered up by the hair, but I also quite like either the dark or light bluish grey pirate clothes from the Silent Mary set back in 2017. Having said that, I hope for an official BB one day!
  2. Disappointed we haven't got the Bloody Baron, however as we have a great Fat Friar figure in the GH, I'm sure a BB one will appear in a future set. The caroller looks great! Although the four new house torsos are nice, not sure why they had to include the house badge... I wish they never made another appearance after the Hogwarts Moments sets, unless it is to give us a Hufflepuff one to complete the set! The four printed house badges are my personal highlight I must admit. Is the Flitwick torso a new design over the previous PS Flitwick?
  3. There's a new image if Buckbeak out I think - it has the crow and pumpkins included.
  4. I don't think Daphne and Terry are the best choices of character to include here, but any new minifigs is an absolute win. In terms of students, just Alicia Spinnet, Katie Bell, Cormac McLaggen, Eloise Midgen, Millicent Bulstrode, Marcus Belby, Penelope Clearwater, Ernie MacMillain, Roger Davies and Zacarias Smith to go!
  5. Yeah, Leanne, Terry and Daphne. Great! Also, the hall looks magnificent from outside.
  6. Where are you seeing that? 🙂
  7. Aragog looks good... I think the cats out of the bag now, Lego, may as well reveal the full wave tomorrow 😁
  8. Just something about the Great Hall to draw people's attention to, I think on the closed side of the building (as in the side we have not seen so far) there will be the stairs to the Boathouse by the courtyard and next to the Great Hall itself will be the Pepperpot building - I think that's the shape you can see through the windows. There is also the balcony round the outside which is nice to finally get in a set. Still not sure about the price but from the limited views we have so far it is the best looking imo.
  9. I think the Harry in Ollivanders set has the taped up glasses 🥹
  10. I was thinking Leanne is possible for the Hufflepuff girl, dispute the fact she doesn't appear until much later - in the same thought process Marcus Belby for the Ravenclaw lad. Although the sets seem to be base mainly on PS, Penelope Clearwater, Millicent Bulstrode and Ernie MacMillan (all from COS) would give the same ratio of boys/girls and also one each of the other houses, and be mostly appropriate for the shorter legs. Eagerly awaiting confirmation of their identities - if any!
  11. I think the one by the courtyard will be for the viaduct, the middle two for the grand staircase tower, the last one... I'm not sure!
  12. Fat Friar, Vector CONFIRMED!! Now the three students, male Ravenclaw and female Hufflepuff and female Slutherin, are they real characters?
  13. Looks like Vector is in the Great Hall to me?! Dark hair witch on right. Can't see a ghost though yet..
  14. So far, every Star Wars diorama has also been released as a playset at least once before to some degree. Sometimes they are highly detailed micro versions (Death Star Trench, Podrace) which to be honest is quite a lot like the microscale Hogwarts we got in 2018, aside from the size. Otherwise they are based on memorable scenes with a level of detail not available in playsets (Speeder Bikes, Trash Compactor, Dagobah, Fianl Duel) which I would welcome for Harry Potter. Imagine a Duelling Club or Myrtle's bathroom diorama for example, no stickers, all brickbuilt details. There are countless examples of dioramas that would work for Harry Potter. Is there a demand for them? Not sure.
  15. I'd prefer they omitted all five epilogue characters from the Deluxe Hogwarts Express and knocked down the RRP, but there we go Shouldn't be long until we know more anyway, Vector and FF/BB are quite distinctive looking and shouldn't get confused for other characters if we get images/further discriptions of the figs.
  16. And let's not forget the headless horseman ghosts who breaks through the big window near the great hall time and again... although they would require ghost horses 😁
  17. I think gitd nick in 2021 may have been a tribute to the original sets which had gitd figures like Snape and Voldemort. Since then we have had Myrtle in 22 and the Grey Lady in 23, both grey, so hopefully 24 follows suit!
  18. 1. Finding out who the ghost and teacher are. 2. Getting an idea of what the new most detailed hogwarts ever looks like. The rest I can wait on 😁
  19. There have been plenty of lego pubs or inns before, as well as a leaky Cauldron sign so I think it's very much in contention.
  20. I don't think we need to worry too much about merchandise for the show replacing that if the movies for sometime yet. Compare the upcoming show with Game of Thrones for example - both big book series with plenty of cgi and large casts. Not a perfect comparison but not a bad one! On GOT, the show runners and author were ready to work together in 2006, development started 2007, the pilot shot in 2009, the series finished shooting in 2010 and was released in 2011. HPTV may already be doing some pre-production work, but the showrunner will not be in place for about three months. The idea the show will be ready for release in two years then looks dubious.
  21. You're right, however I think having those two sets in the same wave is the problem, not the minifig lineup.
  22. The potions classroom is situated under the viaduct entrance in the films and games so hopefully it can be added there in a possible future set
  23. Interesting we only get one of the Trio in the advent calender, not a bad thing tbh. We can tick the troll off the list then! I hope by Sinistra they mean Vector in the Great Hall - both non speaking roles after all. Two ghosts and three students could be interesting - we could get the Fat Friar (there is a Hufflepuff Common Room...) and the Bloody Baron, but they could easily be repeated characters. The three students - I hope for Alicia Spinnet, Millicent Bulstrode and Ernie MacMillan as it is based on the early films, but I could very easily be disappointed 😁
  24. The films cut some good things from the book series which may have been necessary but disappointing, but cutting most of the story of the house elves was very a good call. It's never a good idea to have your hero be a slave owner. The house elves role in the books also shows a massive problem with the story - the wizarding world is heavily biased against house elves, goblins and centaurs. You would expect the book series to address and heal this divide in society, but no systemic change really occurs by the end of DH. Problems of the book series aside, the release date is likely to be pushed back a year or two as these things often are. I also think the chance of any lego sets from the reboot this decade are low.
  25. The amount of GoF figures this year makes me think Yule Ball is fairly likely for the advent calender so some could be repeated. The Harry and Ron variants I mentioned before could be joined by Hermione in her dress using one of the newer plastic pieces and medium legs. Side builds could also include plenty of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons stuff.
