Ok, I agree with you on what you can see, this photo isn't nearly as striking as I woukd have liked it to be, the build is far more interesting in person, I suppose that's good as it was built more for the Auckland Lego show next weekend than it was for the internet the base is very blocky, and doesn't look too good in the photo but in real life it as a very nice juxtaposition with the statue which brings it out more, my other justification is that all my slpoes and plates are used up in other larger builds for the con ;) otherwise I would have had some angular boulders, I think I may rebuild the statue bigger with a full landscape or mountainside one day when I have all my bricks available for use.

Knaxx, son of some other dwarf who probably has a cooler and harder to pronounce name visits statues of his forefathers in search of wisdom and guidance in troubled times. And to admire the beards of old. ChIII category A, hope you enjoy!

exams are coming up so I'll have to sit this one out but looks like fun

It's not hard to make something darker than a disney princess scene ;) on a more serious note, I make sure i don't go dark for convention builds (full of children) , though i've got some pretty dark things planned for after exams

Eurobricks and Rebrickable were challenged by LEGO to make alternate models for current year city sets. The builds had to only use the pieces in available in the official LEGO model, be made in LDD, digitized, tested in real brick and be a model a 7-10 year old could build!! I haven't actually received anything yet, something's up with the postage, but in the last few days courtesy of Zcerberus I was able to work with 60054 Light repair truck. not the easiest set to build alternate models for with only 95 bricks, I managed to create a 4x4 ute

Only sets ive come across in the past few years that have lasted more than 2 days intact are the delorean (on my shelf) and the VW camper (next to the delorean). most sets I don't even bother building, parts for moccing is always the way to go!

Definitely your best build yet! your composition is epic as usual, and your colour palette is fantastic! the ground seems a bit boring, then again I can't say I haven't done something even worse :p What makes this one stand out from the rest of your works is that you've gone a bit farther with the wall textures, it really makes it! keep it up mate :)

So this july due to several prizes and the likes of that I managed to get my hands on ~10000 new bricks! my collection has literally doubled, I've got some awesome plans for when school dies down a bit (for future reference, no one ever take scholarship art and graphics in the same year! the workload is rather overpowering ) so yeah im hoping to stretch my builds to larger sizes and full 360 mocs (unlike just about every other facade i've ever built ) should be interesting

Really awesome mate! i've been wanting to tackle a yellow house for ages but don't really have enough of it to try, looks so awesome though! cool to see your style developing into something that is recognisably you (especially your landscapes!) and that armour wall is looking awesome! looking forward to seeing more from you soon, also looking forward to using the purple tiles i got in the mail last week ;)

Thanks all! haha if anyones keen to pay the $3000.00ish tickets for me to get there id be happy to rebuild it, the moc was only completed a few hours before i flew to Chch and was destroyed 2 days later at the end of the show

Thanks guys! glad you like it! Plew2000, haha so many ask that ;) actually this house was very sturdy, managed to survive the flight down to christchurch and I was able to pick it up from the walls to shift it :)

Had a blast this weekend with the NZ lego gang at the Christchurch Brick Show 2014! this was my display, winning both AFOL choice and first in show! (yay more lego! :D) also as I didn't bring my camera im stealing other peoples pictures of the moc :p Not sure how this ties in with GOH really but looks like it could be part of it? someone at the show gave it the title "house of chaos", which has stuck :p enjoy! David this is the point in the build where I ran out of bricks...

More pictures when I manage to hunt them down, I should start taking a camera to cons :p
