This is why I only ordered one I'm not a huge collector I bought it because it has cool parts and is a better deal than the orginal crawler so why should I buy 2 just to try and make profit and deny someone else the joy of owning this set

I don't know if it is possible toedit the first post here but could we post like all the other lego themes and have all the offcial lego pictuers and maybe a link to the techbrick arcticle about the grand prix racer that was on ebay -
I rather like black birds Idea of an official Lego set that has the piece count and detail of some of the bigger mocs people build obviously there is some demand for this look how many super cars crow killer sells or how many people have made their own versions of Sariel's Big Brick Rig. They wouldn't even have to be new models just more refined versions of existing models along the lines of what Efferman and a few others do by taking an existing generic model and add function and detail that are cost prohibitive to child models but excellent for those of us lacking the skill and pieces finish out models. I am sure it wouldn’t be cheap but hopefully with such a high piece count there would be a little bit of a price per piece break. I bet some of the designers at Lego have some really sweet mocs in their heads that they are dying to have go into production.

I really don't wish TLG would re-release any of the older Lego sets unless they are going to reuse the older building techniques and pieces but I suspect a lot of the molds for the studded bricks and angled connectors are no longer available so it would be VERY expensive to and I'd rather see that money go towards new parts others have suggested. Also the reintroduction of studless version of studded models seems silly since most models today are much more complex and ingenious in design. And if you really wanted them it is always possible to get the old instructions and come up with your own remake. What I truly wish Lego would do is the old Idea of selling part packs I know it is possible to buy parts but it is not widely know and it isn’t the easiest process to do. And as far as the great gear box debate I think Lego’s gear design works pretty good they will never be low friction gear boxes till Lego comes up with a proper bearings and tightens up the tolerances and I think that is beyond the scope of what they are trying to do. I do like Allanp Idea of different size gears that would mesh with the gear synchronizer something along the range of 3:1 2.5:1 2:1 1.5:1 and 1:1

wow very compact offroad buggy love the color scheme. -
I think the driveshaft you have circled is to operate the linear actuator that raises the nose gear. I'm starting to have doubts about there being any control for the rotor blades. I kind of doubt Lego would keep such a cool feature hidden so maybe the rotor blades are just fixed at the angle. but if they are fixed lego sure put a lot of exra pieces up there just to make it look more realistic.

9397 Technic Logging Truck
tduby replied to paul_delahaye's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
All the trucks we have in Michigan use the same size as normal semi trucks for the drive tires but on the front we run super wide tires so they can carry 20,0000 pounds (9,071kg)on the front axle. I wish lego would make a tire the like a 63x40 tire so we could use them as float front tires or as super single rear which seem to be realy popular now instead of dual rear tires on long haul trucks. -

I know you said to wait but this is a nice design does it unfold under its own power or does it need a little help to get moving? -
I just think Lego messed up on the body! When the Unimog came out one of the big reasons people loved it so much was the new orange color. I can see why some are happy about the new white panels but I really dislike the white part on the truck it should have been all white or the two tone orange black. as it stands now the red black orange white and gray trying to lok like chrome is just blah. and as noted by several people I too hate stickers I have very poor hand eye coordination and have never put on a sticker straight in my life and now for this model to look half way decent one is going to have to line up stickers on multiple panels. What I don't get is Lego already has molds paid for why they don't have a wider varity of model colors is confusing I saw on TV there huge automated wharehouse surely a little more inventory would not be all that much more to maintain. one of the great things about lego is you can build anything your way but its getting to the point where they limit your choices to black red and yellow. to end on a positive note the new motors seem to function awesome and they will be a great addtion to MOCS for years to come
