That's up to Sandy. If he wanted to make the Chameleon Serpent a card, he's totally free to do so, but as far as I know he plans to keep the cards set as-is for now.

I designed the thing, so I can say with certainty that it is not Decamodifiable.

OOC: Sorry to double-post, and to OOC-only, but I'm legitimately stumped for the second portion. Are you sure the number of letters per word/punctuation are correct?

OOC: Thy title, it lies! “'Why don’t you just go, then?' That was what you said--the first half, anyway." Arthur shook his head at how strained his cousins' relationships were with each other.

Of course, it's the classic Rainbow Dash/Fluttershy pairing. Seriously, though, I have to agree. Miderun brought out a lot from Annie, I'd like to see the two Quest together again.

"Lilly," Arthur says gently, ignoring the needling of the Necromancer, "I'm not going to ask you to do anything you're not ready for. But what the middle dog says is right--already you have shown great strength and courage. I believe you have the strength to face your fears here, but no matter what you won't be alone. Stay or go, I will be right there with you, okay?" Part of him wondered just what made the canine creatures so scary to the girl, but something told him that asking why would cause more problems than it would solve. OOC: I might be a little less active today and tomorrow, just so you know. Sorry!

Arthur throws up his hands. "You know what? Fine. You go ahead and lead us in there thinking you can just walk all over an Archdemon of Zoot. Give him lots of pride to feed off of. And when we have to appeal to the Veterans to drag you out of the Void itself, you can tell them all about how you ignored the one fellow Hero you had with experience and expertise about your enemy." The Weather Mage shakes his head. "Maybe we shouldn't go on. Maybe it would be smarter to leave and fetch Byblos, or the Sand Queen, or someone else who has even more skill in demonology than me. But that wouldn't satisfy Lilly's request, and I highly doubt it would satisfy you. So the best course of action is to proceed forward, cautiously, and try to counteract our enemy's advantages as best we can." Arthur looks to Lilly. "I swear, Lilly, I will do everything in my power to protect you. You have my word." Arthur clutches his Garnet and Diamond tightly, as ready as he'd ever be to face what lay ahead.

"Marilith. Archdemon of Vengeance. She tore the Academy of Enlightenment into the Void in an attempt to devour the souls of the children inside, including my half-brother. A group of Heroes defeated her and saved as many as they could. Mom mentioned it before I came here." 'Mom'. It comes so easily...I don't know why, but I feel a connection to my family, despite what Althior says. I won't give up on it, no matter how much he tries to convince me otherwise. "Wren," Arthur says quietly. "Alexis was there too, she knows the effect Abraxas had on me, when I tried to drain the Spire of Chaos near Guffington Manor. He granted me Luck for my prideful act, and that experience taught me respect for these beings' power. We may be stronger either way, but I don't want to take any extra risks with my cousin's life. Alexis and I both saw the result of my arrogance and selfishness in the Temple of Zoot beneath Heroica Hall. I'm not going to let anyone else die under my watch--especially when it's family."

"I don't think the two of you understand. Whatever we take in to face them, that is what we will fight! Marilith the Vengeful created dark versions of the Heroes who faced her--the Archdemon of Pride is more than capable of doing the same! Why do you both refuse to listen to reason?!"

Arthur turns to Alexis. "Please, at least take off your quiver! Even at my full defensive capability, I couldn't handle your attacks. We can't afford to grant our opponents any more strength than they'll already have!"

"Think about it...the Ziegfried family, borne of the power of the Pandemonicon, the book of demons...a dark being of Pride searching for a member of said family...put the pieces together. I've met him. You have, too. In this household, the name of Abraxas holds much power...and I would bet much of mine that it is him we are soon to face." "It is the way of many archdemons to turn the power of their opponents against themselves. If we increase our own strength, it is our foes whose power shall be upgraded. We must enter this battle as weak as we can, taking but a moment to prepare ourselves after its beginning."

Of all the times to have switched out of Dragoon...

Arthur starts at Nanny Phee's final muttering. "Wait, what did you--?" But it was too late, the woman already beyond his reach. Arthur swears. "Shit. Shit. megabluck. megabluck megabluck megabluck." He immediately removes his Winged Sandals and Shadeaux Cloak, swatting at Althior to prevent him from drinking his Nostrum. "Stop! ...Stop," he says, calming down a little. "Listen. This may sound crazy, but I need you both to take off any equipment of yours that grants immunities or positive effects. That includes your hair ribbon, Lilly."

For a second, I thought this was a response to the Round, before I realized, "oh, right, that's a thing".

OOC: Lilly should have +3 gold from the tin knight fight and +4 gold from this one. "I have to agree with Althior, but as far as I'm concerned, it's your call, Lilly. I want you to feel safe and happy--do you really think you'd feel safe at night if the noises continue? I'm inclined to check out the attic, but I'll acquiesce to your call." Arthur gives 500 gold to Althior, and again offers an additional 35 if he's willing to give him another Nostrum. Arthur then waits for Lilly's opinion; if the party decides to stay, Arthur drinks his last Mead and Smelling Salts, as well as the Nostrum if the party decides to stay and Althior gives it to him.

Zepher is Katy Perry confirmed.

Arthur opens his mouth to argue, but realizes it would be futile. Still, he glances to Lilly for confirmation, before turning to the Nanny and preparing to cast his Light spells.

"It's your choice, Lilly. If you want to take this thing down, she's yours." If Lilly does not use Equestria to kill the Nanny, Arthur casts Light at The Nanny twice from the Back Row. OOC: I know technically Lilly is under Althior's control, but I personally am fine if Lilly decides to deal the final blow because roleplaying.

In spite of my specific warnings from experience that it's a bad idea. I've also spend quite a bit of time trying to wrap up a lot of Arthur's loose ends and various story connections, so as to create some cohesion and not be such a story hog. Some of them do keep popping up even after I think I'm done with them (i.e. demons/Pandemonicon/Zoot), but for the most part I feel like I've successfully wrapped up a lot of Arthur's involvement in a lot of storylines, which is something I'm pleased to have accomplished. I'm going to be blunt: no one is interested in an entire series of Quests designed solely to flesh out your own personal character and backstory. I know this because it's exactly what I tried with Arthur and the Zut'tau'ri. I'd made something like three or four NPCs from Arthur's past intended to be the point of contact for a five-Quest arc, and with like one exception, no one was interested in interacting with them. Wrapping up their stupid plotline and getting rid of them was one of the smartest things I've done, and just like getting Arthur fired from the Town Watch; my writing and playstyle are a thousand times better when I'm not trying to make the world be all about me and what a special snowflake I am. Trust me, being such a special snowflake is baggage. Better to develop a personality instead of a backstory, and let each day come as it will. Docken can see the stats pages. Lind pretends he can see the QM's plot notes and Quest outline.

It's a type of cheese.

Humanoids only get the x2--makes up a little for them being so common, I suppose. For Beasts, an Opal plus a Ruby will give you the desired x4.

Eh. I love the mechanics of Weather Mage (to me, it fits my own vision of the ultimate mage-class playstyle), but it's not that great a fit for Arthur roleplay-wise. I am glad I tried it, but to be frank I mostly tried it because I thought it would be mechanically fun to play. That being said, playing a class I don't really fit isn't as fun as when my class and my character are in sync, so I'll probably go back to Dragoon and stay there when I switch out of Weather Mage (not sure whether or not I'll actually make the change before my hiatus, though).
-
Similar boat to me, then--not really interested in the class, I just want to get to see Jules/Illdria one last time. Glad there'll be at least one more Magpie Quest, then, even though I might not be around for it. Speaking of 127, why is the party having a Sage try to do unarmed attacks when unarmed/melee is literally not a thing for them? Thirded. SO thirded. Or maybe fourthed? Does Zepher's post count as a thirding?
-
So wait, this is the last Jules/Illdria Quest?

"Ugh. You know what, just stop. I'll handle this myself," Arthur snaps angrily at his fellow party members. Casting Fragile at the last monster and then Light at the Nanny, he prepares to try Sealed on the monster if the Fragile is successful, or to repeat the Frailty if not. Either way he finishes with a Light spell against the monster, all from the Back Row (or the front if not possible). "Lilly, could you please use a Remedy on me? You might want to bring out Equestria against the Nanny as well."
