  1. A lot of people asking that lately! It's a one-of-a-kind piece, from this unique contest prize set. Yes, it's official LEGO, completely unmodified. Yes, that is a chrome camera/bazooka.
  2. I think they do it because Boomingham, Althior, Atramor, and Guts do it. It's sort of like how all Mafia confirmation topics/games end up chock-full of innuendo even since Harriet the Slut in Werewolf Mafia; one person starts it, and everyone else follows. On a completely different note, Arthur is completely unaffected by alcohol. I'm debating whether or not to apply that to Meads he drinks as well (i.e. buys a Mead, drinks it, and then ask the QM not to count the Encouraged effect), but most likely I will apply it, unless the party would be completely slaughtered without me.
  3. Arthur calls over from the other side of the room, "Willaim? Why are you talking to the sky? It's that cursed Emerald, I know it, you should ask Elphaba to trade you for an untainted one."
  4. Fortunately for William, Arthur and Cinna were too far away to overhear, though Arthur inexplicably had the momentary urge to magic the Ranger's arrows to shoot him in the knee. Arthur takes this as another sign of the Emerald's Curse, and avoids making eye contact with William. ( ) A voice in the sky reminds William that Arthur's staff is different now, and only manifests the snakelike appearance when it is channeling magic.
  5. Arthur dashes through the marketplace, tossing all of his Gold (30 gold) on the counter for a Grand Tonic from Portia, before returning to the Hall.
  6. Arthur hand over 5 Gold and carefully pulls out the shovel. As he extracts the tool, he could swear he sees a skeletal hand grab for his arm. "Uh...Cinna...do you have something...alive...in there?"
  7. Althior and Arasmyth have robes of SP:4 and SP:3 respectively, but as Pie pointed out, they can't be upgraded, which dampens them compared to Knight shields.
  8. Question of the random time interval: How did you come up with your character, both their appearance and their personality? For me, Arthur's appearance was simple: I wanted something unique that few others would have. At the time, the Venomari Shrine was not "officially" out yet (during that odd prerelease period), and I knew that a lot of people had skipped the Kingdoms advent calendar the year before. I combined that with the one face I KNEW nobody else on the planet had, and I had his appearance. Character-wise, Arthur is basically me with the guts to actually do crazy dangerous heroic stuff. His backstory has evolved organically over time as I make character decisions, and he's evolved his own differences from me at this point, but at the beginning he was a straight-up Author Avatar. I also drew from elements of the Paradox faction in LEGO Universe, at least for tone, and it seems to be working well for him.
  9. "I was my pleasure. That journal," he says, indicating the one she now held, "is linked to this one of mine..." Arthur pulls out the journal, but it is the one with the crystal on it. "Whoops, no, not that one...oh, no, this one is De'kra's...Ah, here we go!" Arthur holds our a journal with a slight violet tinge to it. "This journal of mine is linked to yours. Whatever you write in it will appear in mine, and vice versa. The journal I share with De'kra has been most useful, he provided me with excellent advice when fighting the Brobric Elves at Bric'Bay. I hope that this jourlan will be similarly useful to you. Although, I hope that we can Quest together soon as well, from the records in the Library, you are a most accomplished and clever Hero. Will you be going on Quest 31? It is the one I most hope to join." Noticing some items poking out of Cinna's bag, he adds, "Oh, is that a Shovel? I was looking at one in the Marketplace, but it's a bit expensive there. I heard you were looking to get rid of yours for some reason, would you accept 5 Gold for it?" EDIT: OOC: Bah, coding typos!
  10. Arthur returns to the Hall, somewhat the worse for wear, but grinning smugly. "Well, at least my Scrolls work now." Just then, he spots Atramor talking to a Mage in purple...finally! he thought. He strides over to them. "Excuse me, I don't believe we've met, but I've read of your exploits in Quest 4 and Quest 14, and I contacted you via Z-mail a few months ago. I'm Arthur Justus Regulus the Seventh, and you must be Cinna the Dark. A pleasure to make your acquaintance!"
  11. "Congratulations, Master, it appears Darkness is not my best element. Still, at least I've learned how to properly use my Scrolls!" Arthur shakes Althior's hand and then returns to the Hall.
  12. Happy Birthday, Rufus!
  13. Palathadric, attack Canute from the back row, so he doesn't get a Free Hit on the party!
  14. I think mine would ba an odd mish-mash between Kim Possible, Samurai Jack, and the Iron Man live-action movies. When I reach Sorcerer, it'll be similar, just add lots of Teleport Spam whenever an attack misses me or fails to affect me.
  15. OOC: Going to bed, if you wake up before I do, Arthur will consistently use Darkness from the Back Row if Althior is Sealed, and will use the Scroll of Sealing if he is not Sealed or if the Sealing is about to wear off.
  16. Why is it that the dead players in this game haven't changed their avatars to the "dead" avatar? I see people do it all the time for other Mafia games...
  17. Eh, I'm going to hit 20 normally, just so when I suicide this time I'll get decent Fame. I'm up to Level 13, have 12 Fame. We'll see what kind of bonuses I get. Oh, and also, solo'd an Ent Ancient as Knight, and killed two of those robot things that spawn blue dwarf king thingys. Lesser Gods or something.
  18. Stating for the record that I've started my mega-fame Tutorial challenge. I'll post screenies of the end of each run when I remember to. I'm an idiot, I forgot I was going for Mundane, too. Sigh, time to restart again next time someone gets on.
  19. OK, let's say she's taken over the role of edgy, badass hero that doesn't cross the lines into either sentimentality or unlikeablility. If Zahn or Traviss wrote it, I'd read it.
  20. Add Traviss to that list, she is amazing. Haven't read Anderson, Reaves, or Perry, suggestions? No, Denning just can't write. He was handed a brilliant plot and setup from Allston and Traviss, and he somehow completely effed it up in LotF. I mean, the plot outline was great, the elements were all there, what quite possibly could have been the best megablokin' book in the Star Wars expanded Universe was dropped in his lap--there was no way someone should have been able to mess that up--and yet he messed it up. His writing is bland and lifeless, and if I ever hear he's been given the beginning or end slots for a series of Star Wars books again I may have to burn my Jedi robes in shame. Yeah, what happened to those loads, and loads, and loads of characters that were created back in the day? You can't bring back a character that's been gone for a long time if you don't create them in the first place. So many characters have been killed off over the years, we need to replenish the ranks, and not just with the characters' kids growing up. Give us interesting people! If you can't come up with any, go talk to the people using the Star Wars roleplaying games, they'd love to help, and they actually know what they are doing! Someone earlier mentioned that they were glad what's-her-face Sith girl was put on a bus, so she couldn't become a new Mara Jade. I agree with that; the post-Legacy of the Force era already has its Mara Jade: Morrigan Corrde. She may not be a Jedi, but she fills that role, and there's no need to add another. And now just because it'll raise ire and discussion: Does anyone else think it's about time for them to kill off Luke already? Discuss. And just because I'm bored, a checklist of things that need to be done to set up for the Legacy comics:
  21. So that all four staffs are available in the first wave.
  22. I certainly hope I get better at Mafia! You do realize, I am directly responsible for getting almost half the Town killed, right?

  23. My thoughts would be, to create one enemy per Quest that's specifically tailored to be strong against a given character, one specifically tailored to let the character show off their special abilities, and one that's tailored to be difficult for the whole party. At least, as long as there ARE battles on the Quest; there are certainly ways to allow for XP gain from puzzles and the like... EDIT: To clarify: these enemies would be intermixed with each other and spaced out, in order to balance the Quest as a whole. All right, if Cinna sells the shovel to me, I'll go for that.
  24. *Double-checks body count* *says nothing* *walks away sobbing and berating self*
  25. True...until QMs start dragging you to the Front Row and making enemies that pierce SP. :devil_snicker: So, if Arthur successfully convinces Cinna to sell her shovel for 5 Gold, and he spends 30 gold on a Grand Tonic (since it gives back more Ether for the same amount of Gold as two Tonics), what should he spend the remaining 5 on: a Venom, a Smoke Bomb, or a Potion?
