  1. I can explain that. Early on Day 1, I told pretty much everyone behind the scenes that I suspected Rabbit of being Scum. Until I suspected Goldy of being Scum blocker I actually thought White Rabbit was Scum Blocker. I asked Goldy to block WR because I was trying to prevent myself from being blocked--the only weakness in that night plan (well, aside from the epic fail targeting )--and lo and behold that's exactly what happened. I wondered why you decided to NK me instead of wagoning me to lynch the next day--that would explain it. Really, it's a good thing you did--once Kadabra told me about the confirmed Scum result on Aladdin, it would have been game over for him--even if you had managed to lynch me, my last words would be to lynch Aladdin when I came up Town next day, and that would have been it for him. There was a reason I was playing SO aggressively even though I had Doctor--I knew that no one would ever suspect me of Doc while I played that aggresively. Apparently it worked--until I went and told Scum. It's a testament to your sneaky skill that you got that out of me, and the sheer perfect luck that framed Goldilocks for the Night Action fiasco. God help the Town if you end up a Godfather in the future.
  2. Arthur turns back to Skrall. "Change of plans, I agree with you that Leofard should be in charge. Lyonel's speech...it sounds like he almost sympathizes with the rebels..." Arthur motions for Sir Lawrence to join him in the corner. He whispers to him, "Sir, I believe it would be prudent to include a small team of Lion Knight Crossbowmen that Lyonel, Leofard, and Leofwena are unaware of, with orders to...erm...take care of them if they attempt to betray us." OOC: Is it Leofard or Leonard?
  3. Arthur considered Skrall's words. "True, but the snake is easier to stop than the oliphant. If I had to fight one of them, as we will undoubtedly have to fight the traitor, I would be more confident in my ability to take Lyonel than Leofard. And, remember, we are the ones who will be doing something. The others' job is to prevent something from happening--namely, to prevent the Emperor from turning on us." Arthur stops, consults one of his books for a moment, and then continues. "Sir, how did you know the Town Guard was right in putting down the rebellion, how did you know which Felton was real? Perhaps that intuition may guide you now." OOC: To clarify: I know ostensibly their mission is to protect and advise the Emperor, but really, Arthur's just being Dangerously Genre Savvy; he knows that if an actual attack on the Emperor occurs, the Lion Knights will be ineffectual against it, and that the Heroes themselves will have to rescue him--especially considering that, in all likelihood, it will be another team of Heroes who ends up attacking the Lion Knight guards, likely because the Emperor we're working with will be accused of being a traitor or something. TL;DR, I'm being paranoid, and Arthur agrees with me. IC: Arthur experiences a sudden urge to check the ceiling for traps and/or spies.
  4. As long as someone sells them to me later, I don't care WHAT they're called!
  5. Must...collect...scrolls...
  6. "Why is it," Arthur wonders aloud, to no one in particular, "that men are completely incapable of sharing power." Turning to Sir Lawrence, he adds, "Not necessarily, I had hoped that these two 'men' would prove themselves capable of cooperation. Apparently not." He makes no attempt to hide the disdain in his voice at the end. "Perhaps if the men cannot handle themselves with dignity Lady Leofwena would be a better commander." He winkes at Sir Lawrence to let him know this was not a serious suggestion, then, while the two Lion Knights stood in shock, he turns to Skrall and speaks quietly, too quietly for them to overhear. "In absence of some kind of cooperation between the two, I would choose Sir Lyonel, he appears to be the most level-headed and stable influence. However, my judgement of others is not always the best, so I defer to yours."
  7. This happened again, at 6:27 PM PST to 6:29 PM PST. Something about this time of day, I guess...
  8. "Care. If you don't, you'll likely get youself executed, or worse. Emperors tend to take offense at the tiniest things, in my experience, and it would be a pity if we lost a soldier of your impressive capability to something as simple as a percieved slight." "Sir Lawrence, I have two suggestions, either could work, however not both at once. They are similar and yet different." "The first solution would be to allow Sir Lyonel to handle all diplomatic relations with the Emperor, while Sir Leofard took control exculsively over military matters. The second would be to put Sir Leofard in command, but to put forward the minor falsehood that he cannot speak the language of the Emperor. Sir Lyonel would act as his "translator", and would put Sir Leofard's words into a form less likely to agitate the Emperor against the Lion Knights. Sir Lyonel would also give Sir Leofard's orders to the troops." "Do either of these suggestions appeal to you, Sir Lawrence?"
  9. Arthur nods. "All right. This one is for both of you: are you capable of bending the truth to spare someone's feelings?"
  10. 2...PM? Or AM? If it's 2 AM, I'd better go take a nap now so I'll be awake to sign up...
  11. No So, this wasn't an epic Town failure of Bloodbrick proportions?
  12. Just call me Jesus... Erm, you mean Chromeknight, right? But yes, Chromeknight played an excellent game. If she hadn't been so good at getting me to trust her, the Town's secrets might have stayed safe. Instead, I gave her thw whole game, tied up with a pretty bow.
  13. Arthur whispers back to Simbad, "Might I suggest that, if one of these three is a spy, that one of us remain with them at all times? It would certainly hamper their efforts, at least partially." Arthur then turns to the group at large. "Sir Leonard, good to see you again. How are Count Knyghton and Luke? On to the matter at hand, Sir Lyonel, what experience have you had, on the battlefield and off? Sir Leofard, have you ever been married or in a serious relationship with someone? If so, how long did or has it lasted? And Lady Leofwena, is there anything else to that history of the Knights, any other actions that the leaders took that may give us a clue as to the rebels' plans?"
  14. *hangs self* Good job playing the "clueless newbie" to me, though, for a while there I thought you were just an innocent Townie who didn't know when to stop roleplaying.
  15. I can't believe it, my plan was working perfectly and RPGer manages to single-handedly ruin me through sheer dumb luck. I underestimated you, RPGer, good game. I'll pass on the hug as long as you reply to that PM about the puzzles. :poke:
  16. You're joking...dumb luck?! :wall:
  17. Hey, wait a minute, that's not enough, you have to tell me how you found out about Bear and me for Night 1!!
  18. Do you think the Dastan Quests will be finished before you start this one? Alas: How on earth do you manage to run multiple Quests at once?!? I'm just planning for one and it's already eating a lot of time. EDIT: Let me rephrase that so as to sound less rude: PLEASE wait until the Dastan Quests are finished before you start the Nuitan and Lyren one!
  19. ...and yet, I'm the one who got three out of the four Power Roles killed. You were great, though, Chromeknight, I really trusted you right up until I was killed. Even afterwards, it took me a while to figure out it was you.
  20. A Ben/Annie hybrid.
  21. That is an interesting and complex topic that would require direct approval from Sandy first. Since I want to have more of the Quest ready before I pitch it formally, you'll understand why I can't reveal that just yer.
  22. What's even sadder is, before I panicked over Big Bad Wolf's PM, I had fingered Aladdin, Charming, and Rapunzel as Scum on Day 1. If only I had decided to give BBW another Day... Ah, well, live and learn.
  23. Arthur must meet this man, preferably with Harkenshire in tow for extra treknobabble spontaneous arcane mysticism.
  24. I will say that it would be HEAVILY involved in rooleplaying, so you were one of the first players who came to mind. It's why I picked Ji Pei over Guild of Invision, I was hoping to entice De'kra in. In any event, there's still a LOT of sets to build, and K-nut still hasn't gotten back to me on helping me choose puzzles.
  25. If no one minds, could we have a link to the Scum writeboard? I'll post a link to the dead board in a minute or two.
