Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Two
Flipz replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"Yes it is, there is a holovid called "Yakuza" in which a girl named after a flower--'Cherry Blossom', I think--was a Vengeful Townie. " "I will give you this, Hugar--you are consistent. However, if you are not Scum, why target someone who appears to be Townie? Why not target a likely Scum candidate? Even though you'll die anyway, you can still win with the rest of us loyal Jedi. " -

Still feeling restless, Arthur pulls out his shovel--Cinna's shovel, he remembers, what would she think of me now? What would any of them think of me?--and digs idly. -

"Why do you remind me of an Arab prince, Master Kenobi? Oh, right..." "Honestly, I did not suspect you at all yesterday, but today your behavior worries me. It is such a dramatic shift and spike in activity, I wonder if you were converted to the Sith last night..." "FoS: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Palathadric)" -

Actually, it's single-player only. If you want to make a co-op map, you'll have to build most of the map in the level editor and then use specialized Hammer tools to add the co-op only elements. -
I actually am quite happy for this, it will make co-op Let's Plays MUCH easier to do.

Arthur paused, to let Skrall's reply sink in. "The question is...what's worth protecting? What's worth that support? No offense, but I don't buy into that 'duty to your fellows' business. Plenty of folks preach it, but no one follows through. Nether, the Elders taught that our kind had a duty to protect each other, because no one else would willingly give us anything even as miniscule as the benefeit of the doubt, 'cause we were different. That didn't stop them from throwing me out when I turned out to be 'different,' though. Even though they claimed to shun them, at heart they kept to the old beliefs: people are resources, like pigs or sheep or cows. If they're of service to you, great, help 'em out, but soon as they get in your way." Arthur sighed. "I thought I'd put that behind me. That I'd put them behind me. But this blasted place..." He paused. "Do you know what it's like to be powerless, Skrall? Because that's what I am. And for a Hero...that's perilously close to 'useless.'" -
Yeah, that's how I pictured it as well.

Erm, what? Who's dead, Zakura or Alex the Great? The pics show Alex as being the one dead...

Arthur stubbornly sits in silence for some time even after Skrall aproaches, but at length he sighs and faces the Hunter. "Why are we doing this?" he begins without preamble. "Wandering off into the wildernesses of the world, getting ourselves into situations with gods-only-know kind of danger? And for what? To help someone? Why bother, they're just going to betray you when you're weakest, when your source of power is completely gone." -
As I see it, it's a 50% chance of Fleeing instead of being KO'd.

"Masters, please forgive me for not coming out with the result straightaway. It was late, and I needed to get up at a certain time for some Real Life extracurricular activities. I have never been privy to an investigation result during the Day before, and I was unsure of what to do with it, so I asked two Jedi (well, one Jedi and a droid, anyway) who I trust to handle it. My inexperience is showing through, please forgive my error." -

OOC: Ha ha ha, that staff is EXACTLY what Arthur would have needed if the battle had gone through! Arthur hears the sounds of Leofwena's armor clanking as she falls, and it's enough to jar his concentration and cause him to miss Isabella. Coming to his senses, he swipes the Cultist's staff and stalks away to brood. "Don't think I haven't dismissed the possibility of revenge, Rogue. He was mine." Despite his words, there was a hint of doubt to them. Count Knyghton goes to speak to Arthur, but the latter swings the staff at him, barely missing the Engineer. Knyghton sighs and walks back to the party. "If I still know 'im--and I'm not completely sure I do, mind ya--he's in a mood ta talk. Just not ta me. I don't think sendin' Miss Isabella over there would be a good idea, either, 'nless ya want a fight ta keep ya entertained. If any o' tha rest o' ya want ta try to talk some sense into 'im, now'd be tha time." Knyghton shakes his head sandly, and adds, "If he comes ta his senses, he'll probably try an' refuse any gold ya try ta give 'im, an' if he doesn't, he'll likely try ta slit on o' your throats or somethin' if he doesn't gat any. I'll hold onto his share of any gold fer now, just ta be safe." -
Congratulations to both of you! I've been expecting Doc's promotion for a while now, sooner or later it had to happen!

OOC: Does that mean that the battle will end before Arthur drops? (Not that I mind particularly, but gaining the experience would be just fine with me! ) -

"ATTENTION EVERYONE!" "I have just recieved word of a Scum investigation result! I have to get some sleep tonight, but I have turned this name over to Coryn and C-3PO, and after my nap if they have not yet taken the proper steps behind the scenes and revealed the name of the Scum, I will." -

"Au contraire, such things are often hinted at in the records of the night. The exact identity of the killer is rarely hinted at in the images, but the source of the kill (i.e. Scum kill vs. Vigilante kill vs. Serial Killer kill) is almost always indicated in some way. I do agree that, until I get a definite result from our Shrink, further speculation on this point is somewhat counterproductive." "Do not worry, my friend, it will do plenty of good. If she refuses to explain herself properly, we simply lynch her." -

Flipz replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"That still does not explain why you decided to vote, out of the blue, merely skimming through to see who was most likely to get a vote. There were 48 hours left in the day, and the day could not end before then without your vote. Surely you could have waited a day, to see if there was a candidate available then. Our votes our precious; they cannot be taken back, and if a bandwagon starts on someone who turns out to be innocent, it is almost impossible to stop it. It would have been more helpful to the loyal Jedi for you to simply not vote, and accept the penalty; the risk of starting a fast-moving, unstoppable bandwagon on a potentially loyal Jedi is simply too great to vote willy-nilly. It may sound harsh, but it's clear, given the rules, that careless voting is more dangerous to us than any other action." "And to be frank, I have been in your shoes and yet managed to hold my own and remain an active aid to the Good Guys. Forgive me if I come off a bit harsh, but: if I can do it, so can you." "Master Koon's suspect list matches my own. Allow me to express my thoughts thusly:" "FoS: Ili Seosty (Sisco) and FoS: Voolvif Moon." -
Agreed. There are times I want to just blurt out my character's entire backstory, but (for the most part ) I can resist the urge. Some things about Arthur will probably never be revealed, but they motivate his character regardless. Sometimes the things unsaid can be more interesting than the things that are.

"There's another possibility: the SK was successfully treated and turned into a Townie. (Remember, the reason we know there is a SK is because we have a Shrink. ) I'm waiting on confirmation, though, and now that I think about it, Master Koth's murder does smell like a SK kill. I'll still hold out hope that we managed to get rid of the SK already. " -

"Perhaps she had read Wookieepedia the Archives? Perhaps she was roleplaying made a lucky guess? Jedi Offee has yet to make a distinct impression on me, one way or the other. " "I would also like to resurrect my FoS against Jedi Seosty from yesterday. I saw you sneak in here, then out again a moment later. Why are you so determined not to contribute to our conversation??" -

"Useless chatter duly noted." "Actually, now that I think about it, you were similarly unhelpful yesterday, AND you voted for Jedi Ahsoka well after the main discussion had concluded that she was, in fact, innocent. At the time, any chance of questioning you about it was rather drowned out by ex-Master Windu's confession, but since it's nice and quiet now: Care to explain yourself?" -
Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Two
Flipz replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"Ah, I disagree with Jedi Kellyns, I don't believe this was a Serial Killer's doing, I believe it was a Sith's work, and that the use of droids masks the identity of the Sith even further than a dark silhouette would. I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not; I will be a very, very happy Jedi if I'm right. " -
Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Two
Flipz replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"I do not speak of the Scum kill, I'm talking about the Serial Killer possibly being nullified. Though as I said, I have yet to hear from the relevant roles involved, so my optimism must be tempered. " "And as to why I don't believe we have a vigilante: we know there is a Scum killer and a Serial Killer. I find it unlikely that we managed to prevent TWO deaths last night, especially given how many of us there are. Perhaps C-3PO could calculate the exact odds for us ( ), but suffice to say, they are miniscule. It's far more likely that only two kills were attempted last night, and we managed to prevent one of them. "
