  1. When I saw you had made the latest posts in both Quest 44 and the Hall, I honestly thought there had been a mass slaughter of Heroes, and that 44 had failed in battle. Any expectation on how long these Quests will take? I.E. Will they return to the Hall in time for Zeph's post-Christmas Wren finale?
  2. I have added tags to the Theatre as well. Also, note to prospective QMs living in Southern California: The Pick-A-Brick wall at the Anaheim Downtown Disney store is now stocking castle turret tops in dark bley, as well as trans-clear 1x2x2 panels. If you stack the castle turrets, you can fit up to 12 in a PAB cup, and if you build the 1x2x2 panels onto the lower lip of each turret, you can fit 4 of them onto each turret, as well as up to four 1x1 bricks/cylinders or 12 1x1 plates/studs by building them into the gaps in the turret crenelation. These are all EXCELLENT parts for Heroica MOCs, and you can get a LOT of these parts this way, so I highly recommend giving it a look.
  3. I'm more thinking along the lines of characters "hijacking" the plot; you know, how Vipera stole away half the Heroes from across Dastan to put them into the chimaera battle, how Felton "hijacked" the Quest 29 plot for the Constance fight, etc. That sort of thing.
  4. Secrets. Lots and lots and lots of secrets. Heroes, allies, and enemies--I'd really love for all of the Heroes, once confirmed for the Quest, to send you a bunch of their Heroes' backstory/secrets info, and for it all to come out over the course of the Quest. And not when they're expecting it, either--I really want to see the secrets burst out of hiding, rather than coming out in the fun but rather controlled circumstances of my stories Quest-hijacking from 38. Speaking of Quest-hijacking, I'd love to see some more of that. Part of what made Dastan fun was that anything could happen, once we finally figured that out--the plot we thought we were following would get hijacked and taken over by other characters in unexpected ways, it was glorious. I'd like to see more of that, as well as more chances to have out-of-battle experiences--you've been the vertiable king of those so far in the Wren Quests, but I'd love to see it turned Up To Eleven. Humor's important too. In retrospect, my biggest problem with Dastan is that I didn't let Arthur be funny when I had the impulse to, I simply let him get Cerebus Syndrome. A bit of levity will help keep things from getting too dark. Lastly, *spoilery secrets that will be PM'd to you once I get back from the show I'm going to go see*.
  5. On a more serious note, did you ever get the blurbs for the non-Quest NPCs? I know a few of us wrote blurbs back in August, but I don't know if you ever got them...
  6. By the way, Szalinski appeared in quest 28, didn't he?
  7. Holy cow...2900 posts?! O_o

  8. Hey! We made it without dying this time! Definitely appreciating the extra speed. I've also been experiencing the problem with post editing that Alasdair Ryan has, but it clears itself up once someone else posts in the topic. Thus the solution isn't that we should switch internet browsers, it's that all of us need to post more.
  9. Hey, aren't you the one who originally suggested it? To my knowledge, no, it hasn't actually been tried. Also, found this post in Historic themes: This is a VERY interesting thought--perhaps we might discover a new race of Elf in the future? I must admit, I think fleshie Elves would fit in with the yellow-skins much better than most fleshies would...
  10. That is a VERY interesting thought--I'll share that with the folks in the Heroica RPG, it'll be most helpful. In terms of favorite elf, I think I'll go with the elf guard, he's nice and generic and his print doesn't extend between his torso and legs, meaning I can use the torso individually in other 'figs.
  11. Shaun would flee once Sycamore was defeated, and would thus be safe from the battle. As for the effect of Phoenix Essence on undead:
  12. "Aunty Sycamore? " Interesting to see that the Zeigfrieds do indeed have a connection to Zoot. I had no idea that I was actually playing into Arthur's familial roots by writing Chaos into his backstory. I really, REALLY wish Arthur could have met Sycamore, though. In other news, I'm shocked that no one sees the absolute easiest way to beat some of the tougher enemies--particularly Sycamore. It's even something Sandy's said MULTIPLE times and even hinted to in QM notes. (Then again, I saw it mentioned--by Sandy--in the Library recently, so... )
  13. Sort of off-topic, but I thought the Fire Temple WAS destroyed
  14. Hey, Bricksandparts, the image links for all of the items you created (particularly the Scroll of Weakening and the Scroll of Frailty) are broken just like your portrait is. Just thought you'd like to know!
  15. OOC: I apologize for the double-post, but I think it's been long enough to justify a new one; the Library needed reviving anyway. Arthur found himself growing restless in the Hall, and decides to return to the Library to ease his mind and his spirits. "Hello, my friend," he greets Byblos, "It has been far too long since my last visit." As was his custom, Arthur perused the volumes of recently-completed Quests; it seemed that far less had happened in recent weeks than had occured upon his trips to Bric'bay and Dastan, but still there had been events of significance. He noted the reappearance of the bard Singerson, as well as his friend Arasmyth's tragic death on Quest 35, and the record of the Quest to protect Lyren and Nuitan held his interest firmly. "I wonder if those journals I gave them have done them any good?" It had been some time since he had attempted to write in any of them; he wondered if anyone besides De'kra still carried theirs. "Probably not," he decided, though he resolved to check in the near future. Arthur returned his attention to the Quest book; the ending of the roed was of particular interest. "So there is hope yet...but the problems of Eubric are beyond my power for now. Only through Chaos can I gain the strength to save this world from itself...to reach my true potential..." he murmured quietly. Turning back to the shelf, he finally withdrew the record of Quest 38. As he had suspected, it was dreadfully vague. "Byblos," he said, "Care for another joint writing session?" ------ Hours later, Arthur closed the book, as Byblos prepared the new, much thicker volume for binding. "It was good to work with you again, my friend," the Sorcerer said. "I promise, if I return from my next encounter with the Lady, I will help you complete the record on her." Packing up his supplies, Arthur left the Library, and returned to the Hall once more.
  16. Hoo-ooo-oooooooooooly crap! Is that...the Temple I think it is? Man, Arthur should be there... Oh, well, I have my evil plans with Thormy to comfort me!
  17. See, that's what I was feeling with Arthur in Dastan. I wish I still had that drive for Arthur, but I lost it sometime during the forum shutdown. You have no idea how much I'm counting on Wren to bring him back up to form and send him on to the next part of his journey.
  18. Green Kimono Lloyd is the exclusive minifigure of the Ninjago Visual Guide; I doubt they'd include that outfit in any other set.
  19. I'm working on it. EDIT: Is that referring to Arthur in Dastan?
  20. Hey, can I suggest that a Hero's "current status" be added to the Hero Statistics? I.E., "Arthur Justus Regulus VII (played by Flipz, currently [in the Hall/On Quest #])"
  21. "Thank you, friend. I am glad I was able to pass it on to a worthy successor." Arthur whispers into Alexandre's ear, and looks longingly toward the entrance to the Fields.
  22. Sensing a sudden warp in space-time and the presence of powerful magic, Arthur sees the two scrolls vanish and reappear in Johon's hands. He approaches the Raider. "So, I believe 80 Gold is the price you are looking for, yes?" At the Raider's nod a.k.a. B&P's post in Rules and discussion, Arthur hands over the Gold and recieves the Scroll of Luck. "Good luck on your quest, Alf--I mean, Johon. I sense you will need it." With that, Arthur returns to Thormanil to continue their discussion...
  23. For those among us who have trouble noticing when we have a new PM, I've discovered a way to restore the old functionality (with a pop-up that appears over the forum when we recieve a new message): Go to the Notification Options and check this checkbox: Ta-da! You have now restored the old functionality! (Be sure to save your settings before leaving the page. )
  24. Dear Ennoc, Etzel! If I had a tenth of your building talent and collection, I'd be working for TLG already. Now I REALLY want to see you and Doc do a collaborative MOC.
  25. So, you're saying Wren is busy watching TV at the same time whenever she talks to Heroes?
