  1. "Go ahead and attack twice, since Cronk's Angel defends us."
  2. "All right, folks, give it all you've got! Cronk and I will keep going, the rest of you have at it!"
  3. I just realized my sig still lists me as Level 15.5. I think I'd better go check and update my stats.
  4. "I've heard tales in the Library of an epic bard who once aided Heroica against a mighty Dragon. Perhaps if we survive, you should seek his--er, her--err, its aid, Bal. The bard goes by the name of Singerson."
  5. OOC: ...and now I should be at 289. "All right, Haldor, heal Cronk. Cronk, you and I will use our Healing Staffs on Tensi. Alexis, you attack the Shard once from the BACK row. No one else attack." The Plan for Round 14 Cronk v. Tensi (Healing Staff) Cronk v. Tesni (Healing Staff) Tesni v. nothing Arthur v. Tesni (Healing Staff) Bal v. nothing Bal v. Nothing Alexis v. Splinter - Back Row Alexis v. nothing Sasha v. nothing Haldor v. Heal Cronk Triad v. retrieve shuriken Gray v. Conditionally heal Cronk if (and only if) Haldor fails
  6. "It's your call. It'd be a shame if the little guy had to miss the whole battle, though."
  7. Ooh, now I REALLY can't wait to learn your plan! (Perhaps a PM is in order? ) Do keep in mind that, once I get back to the Hall, I have a Scroll of Poisoning waiting for me, and if Q43 will finish up I'll hopefully have the Scroll of Luck as well. Plus I'll be making a trip to Arasmyth's grave... As for the Confusion thing, just say that the ally is Confused that Arthur is actually being helpful. EDIT: Yes, you do get Flee; Dak should be able to run away, hopefully before En Sabah Nur makes it back up to the Troll.
  8. OOC: Zeph, that's twice now my Gold count hasn't gone up after I rolled a Shield; I should be at 239 Gold. Between the previous Wren Quests and the way Boomers treats Atramor, I'm beginning to think you don't like Rogues. "Believe me, Sir Cronk, I would revive him if I had the Essence. It's Tensi's choice, though; she has our last Essence, after all."
  9. No, it was already discussed; the Lens allows for "free" scroll actions, like a Hollow Blade allows for a "free" consumable use. Thus, the effect DOES stack with being Hastened; Hastened simply does not stack with itself.
  10. Exactly. Plus, it rewards players who dedicate themselves to those factions (by taking on multiple Quests) for their loyalty. Just like the "regular" Expert Classes.
  11. The Lion Knights give Reputation; why can't the Wren Hunters?
  12. OOC: Going to be busy for the rest of the day, so Arthur's going to reiterate each round that Tensi should not be Remedied until she is at 6 Health or less. Arthur whacks Tensi with the Healing Staff. "Remember, no one Remedy Tensi until it is absolutely necessary."
  13. "No one remedy Tensi, we need her to remain Jinxed so that we can keep Cronk's Angel around." Arthur then turns to Alexis. "Yes, my strategy for you using that Healing staff is definitely not working as I had planned. May I please have it back?" OOC: Once Arthur has the staff back, Alexis' attack should switch to using the Staff of Ennon on the Shard from the Front Row. OOC: Also, for auto-rolling purposes, once Arthur has the staff back, assume he continuously uses it on Tensi.
  14. I have two guesses as to the nature of this "Shawn" character, both equally unlikely. And nothing anyone does can make me say what those guesses are!
  15. Alexis 1- IF SPIRIT IS NOT SUMMONNED: Healing Staff, Tensi; IF SPIRIT IS SUMMONNED: attack Splinter, Front ROW, STAFF OF ENNON Alexis 2- IF SPIRIT IS NOT SUMMONNED: Healing Staff, Tensi; IF SPIRIT IS SUMMONNED: attack Splinter, Front ROW, STAFF OF ENNON "This Round, go ahead and use my Healing Staff on Tensi, so we have a good chance to summon a spirit. Next Round, though, I'll need it back, since we don't want the spirit to overload." OOC: AKA, "you're too lucky" Plus, I can get around 50 gold per round by using that healing staff on Tensi--I might actually get out of debt this way! Also, sorry Peppermint_M, Tensi has to stay Jinxed so that Cronk can give us perma-Angel; you have the Health to pull it off for ten or so more Rounds, but Sasha doesn't.
  16. I'm working on it, I swear!
  17. "If we still have the Angel next Round, I'll ask Haldor to Remedy you, and someone can revive Bal." Arthur pauses. "Alexis, I seem to have miscalculated--your skills will actually be more effective in simply attacking the Splinter. Next Round, not this one! could I have that healing staff back, if I am Hastened enough to take it?"
  18. Don't tell me--it's me, isn't it. Yeah, plus AoE helps keep battles from being a slogfest. Kind of useless in a boss fight? Perhaps. But in a fight with a ton of enemies, having a person or two capable of AoE can really help speed things up, keep the pace moving. Yeah, that's one thing I run into a lot when strategizing for Tensi. "OK, do I set her against the strong enemy with the nasty Special since we'll all have to deal with it eventually, or do I put her against the fella who's weak to her and not have her available if we manage to Seal/Poison/Blind/Curse/Whatever the scary one?" Great class, a pain for strategists--through its mere simplicity. Also, Doc, the Druid is there for if WHEN you get Badly Poisoned. And Cursed. At the same time. You're welcome, Sandy. :P
  19. OK, then, new dream team: Atramor, Docken, Alexandre, Hybros, Arthur, Erdathcath. Atramor: already explained Docken: duh. Alexandre (once he has Counterstrike Gloves): Paladin advantages PLUS Free Hit reduction AND pierces SP Hybros: Hastened Assassin, can work wonders with the Sword of Ancestral Hatred, awesome Arthur: Rain of Status, pseudohealer Erdathcath: Perma-Lucky Druid, self-explanatory. Thormy, I really want to include you in this, but I don't know if your strategy would help us in the Fields.
  20. Well, I was going to go with De'kra or Hybros, as Assassins are excellent for this sort of thing (and for the Sword), but then I realized I already had an AoE special in the party, and the more people you have the more Free Hits the Fields will make you take. ...Actually, on that note, if Alexandre uses counterstrike gloves, he would be the single most potent Paladin available to the Fields.
  21. I fixed that for last Round, but forgot to this time. Also, Zeph, Alexis should have +2 Ether, from the Staff of Ennon...right?
  22. Ideal Party: Arthur, Atramor, Cronk/Boomingham, Docken, Thormanil (Raider) Atramor: Deals Fragile Deadly Poison to enemies. Can heal in a pinch. Thormanil: Uses the Sword of Ancestral Hatred, would be perma-Nostrum'ed at Atramor's expense, plus whatever other insane strategy Swils has cooked up ( ) Cronk/boomingham: Guardian Angel and healing Docken: self-explanitory. Arthur: Rain of Status, plus some etherless healing.
  23. The Plan (Round 10) Cronk- Healing Staff, Tensi Cronk- Bash Splinter, Front Tesni- Remedy Sasha (we'll lose her if we don't do this soon, and you're Jinxed anyways) Haldor- Attack Splinter, Front Arthur- Physical Attack, Front Row Alexis 1- IF SPIRIT IS NOT SUMMONNED: Healing Staff, Sasha; IF SPIRIT IS SUMMONNED: attack Splinter, Front ROW, STAFF OF ENNON Alexis 2- IF SPIRIT IS NOT SUMMONNED: Healing Staff, Tensi; IF SPIRIT IS SUMMONNED: attack Splinter, Front ROW, STAFF OF ENNON Sasha- Attack Splinter, Front Row Bal- KO'd Triad- Sword form, Front Row Bal- KO'd Gray- Do Nothing McColt: Arthur, Hastened
  24. OOC: Yeah, and use the Healing Staff on Tensi to do it so we have a 2/3 chance of seeing her again. You should do that continuously, until you are Hastened, at which point you can bash the splinter on your "free" move. The Plan for this Round: Cronk- Healing Staff on Tensi, Back Row (for max odds of Angel) Tesni- Attack Splinter, Front Haldor - Attack Splinter, Front Arthur - Physical Attack, Front Alexis 1- Healing Staff, Sasha Alexis 2- IF SPIRIT IS NOT SUMMONNED: Healing Staff, Sasha; IF SPIRIT IS SUMMONNED: attack Splinter, Front row, Staff of Ennon Sasha- Attack Splinter, Front Row Bal- KO'd Triad- Attack, Shuriken, Back Row Bal- KO'd Gray- Do nothing McColt: Cronk, Hastened
  25. OOC: Lemme do a quick check of The Plan and then re-post it.
