  1. WOW!!!! Awesome news! Thanks for posting! I can't wait to see pics!!!!
  2. Nice post and I agree 100%. I guess TLC includes these dang cannons to increase the 'play' value of the set, but it adds nothing in my opinion. Of course, one of the greatest things about LEGO is that we can change it. I just built this set as well and I'm planning to make changes. I'm happy they mixed it up a bit and gave us this set. It's not perfect, but it's 85% there and we can mod it as we see fit.
  3. These battle packs are now available from TRU online. I just bought 4 of the clone packs. Here is the link Clone Battle Pack from TRU Sorry that it doesn't help you guys overseas...
  4. Great review and nice photos! Thanks for taking the time.
  5. Wow, that is incredible! I've been waiting to see this for a while. I can't wait to see part two. Great detail and color work. Very nice!
  6. LOL, no I didn't realize that. I just pulled those off of lugnet.
  7. I was at my local TRU this evening and saw the new Technic 8272 Snowmobile and the new 7775 Aquabase invasion both sets looked pretty cool
  8. I checked my local TRU store and nothing yet. I will be in Seattle next week and I'll check the local LEGO store. The last time I was in Seattle, I wandered into the LEGO store and they JUST received the Sailbarge and ISD. I had to destroy the ISD box so I could fit everything in my carry on bag to make it back on the plane. So, here's hoping history repeats itself and the 2007 sets hit stores next week. I'm taking my camera this trip so I can get some decent photos if the sets are in.
  9. Went there yesterday to check it out. They had TONS of each of these sets. Looks like they are well stocked for Christmas. No, they did not have any of the 2007 sets yet :'-(
  10. The ISD is on sale at Target for $89. Not a huge sale, but better than nothing if you haven't picked it up yet. Target Link
  11. Same with me. I love seeing these designs and concepts. Great stuff!
  12. I love the little trans 1x1 45 degree slopes we've been seeing a lot of lately. That does look like a nice set though.
  13. I would love it if they made an interior. 3-5K pieces does seem like a lot for just the exterior. Unless we are getting a highly detailed Falcon. It is one of the icons for the Star Wars Trilogy so presumably, they would go all out on it...
  14. Just FYI, my local LEGO store has had the interchangeable pieces on clearance for some time now: Tires Side panels Battery Packs You might wnat to check your local store to see if they have any accessories or pieces.
  15. Thanks for fixing the picture for me. As you both realized, I had the wrong image. I knew someone would have seen that part before - it was just new to me. Funny thing is, I have all three of those sets you listed. I just haven't had time to build them yet *wacko*
  16. Thanks for the review. I keep looking at this set, but have never picked it up. It does look like a nice little diversion. OK, you convinced me, I'll pick it up this weekend...
  17. Nitro Intimidator Reviewed by Dunamis Set 8682 724 Pieces $49.95 from LEGO Retail Store (Burbank, CA) Build time 4.0 hours The Box: Standard LEGO box with breakable perforated tabs and two sticker seals. It does seem like a departure for the typical printed design though, as it seems more stylish and kind of grabs your attention with some interesting comments on the box. For starters, it says
  18. LOL, Yoda, when I first saw that image, I thought "wow, someone else got a sticker sheet with a corner bent like mine!" Then, I recognized my floor... Sorry guys, no light bricks and I agree that it is deceptive. I'm running a bit behind on the review and it's my wife's birthday tomorrow so it will probably be Monday night before I get everything done.
  19. Ok, here goes (remember a full review will be coming soon, hopefully posted on Sunday.) The box: Notice the 15% more elements than the standard LEGO truck comment and the "special edition" tag. Closeup of the back: Notice the speakers, NOx tanks (or beer kegs if you prefer), video game, etc. Kinda cool. Other views: I haven't opened the box yet (too busy right now) but it does look like a lot of stickers. Enjoy!
  20. Interesting. Thanks for posting.
  21. OK, I couldn't wait and wound up driving to the LEGO store to pick this up (plus get double stamps!). I'll post photos later tonight, but the truck looks really good (at least on the box.) One downside is it looks like there will be a lot of stickers *n* . Oh, and that is not a beer keg in the back, it is the Nitrogen Oxide canisters! Silly me :-P Looks to have a decent amount of Technic and 'hand of God' steering. More info and photos to follow...
  22. Not yet, it's only 10AM out here. Depending on my schedule, I may get it at lunch in a couple of hours and if so, I'll post some photos of the box tonight (in about 12 hours) so you guys can see what I'm talking about. And, yes, I would love to review this set and most likely will. If I do it, look for the review to be done this weekend. (of course, you are sneaky enough to watch my brickshelf and will see the photos in advance *yoda* )
  23. You can't tell it from the photo, but the cover on the truck bed lifts up and a flat screen TV comes out of the back. It looks like a sticker, but the TV is showing a racing game and there are two video game controllers that come out as well. In addition, it appeared that there was a bluish neon glow (although the box didn't mention any light bricks) and what looked like a beer keg (I kid you not!) Definitely not your typical LEGO set and even though it was not something I would usually buy, it was off the wall enough that I might go pick it up today at lunch...
