Wow that thing looks crazy. I guess if you're going to go Fantasy...you go all out. I really need bigger pictures to know for sure If I'd buy this or not, but it looks like a lot of fun

The AT-AP, and a lot of the Imperial/Rebel Battlepacks. May get Anakins speeder too. I'll save judgement on the Rogue Shadow until I play the game or read the books

I think the idea of a Rock set would be awesome, but licenced I don't think is really neccessary. To get the likeness rights for bands, especially the top ones, would cost Lego a lot of money, especially considering it wouldn't be as profitable as a movie license. Just make it a generic theme, release some awesome packs, and some sweet minifigs. Hell release a Stage, which comes with a generic rock band, and then release packs which comes with different assortments (classical, metal, pop) which would come with some of the neccessary pieces, and a small stage piece. AKA for the Metal Set, you'd get some Minifigs in black gear, emo and long hair pieces with King V style guitars and what not (perhaps even get guitar Gibson license, and then make a scaled out Lego Guitar like the Ferrarri series do) and like a massive Skull that could be hung onto the stage from the other set. For the Classical set, you could have suited up minifigs, a conductor, and a grand piano with minifigs with violin moulds, trumpet moulds and what not. The Pop Set could feature the female singer, some backup singers and a massive brick built poster with the fictional singers name on it. All of the different sets would have that centrepiece that can be attached to the stage to add to the look. The stage itself would could be similar to the one in the original post. I know the Metal/Rock sets would be easier to come up with for ideas, but Lego would be looking to get the most out of the theme, so mixing it up would be cool. Either way Lego instruments have been long overdue

Cool man, yeah for such a small island that's at least two others who I know who are down here. It's tempting, but the new Star Wars sets will eat up too much money
-
Same man, I'm pretty much in the city haha! Well I won't be complaining if it's $4.50. Great price for an army builder. As for the other sets (forgot to talk about them haha) I'll probably only get the Dwarve's mine defence and the mine itself. MAYBE the seige tower depending on the price.
-
Check where I'm from, I'm a Tassie boy myself :-D $4.50 eh...wish we only had to pay a dollar extra for all of the lego sets X-D

I'm torn between the fantasy elements to be honest. On the one hand I've always prefered the human v human conflict, and with the old school castle sets you had plenty to choose from. At the same time, seeing how great the dwarves look, I don't mind them at all. Ultimately I'd prefer human v human, but if we don't see a bad guy human faction down the castle line for a while it won't be the worst thing in the lego world. As far as civilian sets, while a lot of us on these sites would love them, these days it's harder and harder to appeal to younger kids to sell civilian sets. The Guarded Inn type set is probably the closest we'll get (where you get a knight or two instead of extra civilians) although a Blacksmith set could work well as Battlepack priced extenstion to the Knight Impulse set (Blacksmith & Knight, small buidling, array or weapons) I think there was one made like this before, and it would appeal to both AFOL's and kids (since you get weapons and knights!) or a Stable with two horses, a knight and a stablekeep. With sets like these it's easier to appeal to the majority. The issue now is that most of the Castle Sets are centred on Good v Evil, and as such have both good and bad character minifigs. I presume Lego did their research and felt this sells better, and as such is why we also see the small seige weapons to counterbalance it all. I feel that as long as this style is seen as more marketable, the neutral/one side sets suggested above and by others will be harder to push. Outside of the two sets I suggested above, this is what I'd like to see (also realistically) in future sets: Seige Workshop: A small-medium sized buidling with tools. Two worker minifigs and one knight. Assorted parts to make different seige machines (Think Watto's Workshop style with a better actual building) Depending on how many different possible machines you would want made (maybe not enough pieces for all sorts...to encourage extra purchases >:-) ) could be a relatively cheap set of a middle of the range set. Barracks/Archery Range: These could either be seperate buildings or one massive complex (or just one of them...if so then archery since archers have been hard done by in recent times) with perhaps a Age Of Empires II look to it all (Open practice area with small inside portions) could come with up to 5 minifigs depending on size, maybe 4 archers/milita and one trainer/general Competition Duel Think the sword competition from A Knight's Tale. Not sure if it was really all that historically accurate, but it'd make for a good minifig set. Two knights with swords (with perhaps a bigger variation and an extra one) and full armour, some barriers with flags and perhaps two spectators. Not a big building set, but would be similar to the Joust. Probably not the most feasible, but could be cool regardless. Farm Attack The idea behind this one is to give both AFOL's and kids what they want. A few farmer style peasants (with Pitchforks of course!) working a field, maybe with a small windmill of other storage building, and a few 6X6 plates with crops etc. Then perhaps 2 enemy troops (Orcs, Skellies or whatever the bad guy faction is at this stage) as a raiding party type set up. Again it all depends on how big you want it. Theoretically it could be similar price to the Wizard's building from the 2007 line (I'm bad with names...you know what I mean) with a really big windmill type building with plenty of storage room, carts and what not. It would also mean you could have a 4/2 or 3/3 peasant/enemy set up if you wanted. Or it could be a smaller set with a 2/2 2/1 style. If you bothered to read through all of that, thanks, and thoughts are appreciated. Ideas just kept coming haha. I tried to incoporate the AFOL mindset of realistic, civilian figs/situations while keeping the kid friendly military sword bashing fun. Chuck in some modular wall sets and I'd be a content little lego-er.

Ah yes I use that strategy a bit too. Such a waste to put the armour on an actual castle fig when you can pretend :-D The best thing is you also get the extra helmet, so he won't go without headgear either! So in America they're $3.50 each? I'm guessing in Australia we'll be paying around $6-8 then, which isn't too bad really for what you get.

Thanks for the pics mate, looks like a good little figure. Will go well with the rest of them, although I was surprised at the new design at first.
-
Thanks for all the pics man. I probably won't bother with the Rogue Shadow...at least until the game convinces me to get it anyways :-D nice figures though, great to see Juno has both the hair and hat options. And Kudos to Lego for the battle damaged *vader* helmet. The Stormie Dropship looks a lot nicer than I thought it would too. It looks like it'd be a good surface transport to take troops behind enemy lines or something. Plus *wub* for the cheap Shadow Trooper option. I've commented on the Rebel set about three times now, but I'm loving it. Thank you lego! We can only hope perhaps for an Endor Battlepack now, or some varient type packs.
-
I got two Clone packs and zero Droid packs. Expect that figure to increase rapidly though when the new ones appear
-
Thank you tonnes for the review. My most anticipated figure since the Stormies came out, and I don't think they could have done them any better. Lets hope we get them in different coloured shirts down the track too. The ship is also quite impressive really. The best of the four battlepack ships in my opinion. For it's price I'm going to be splurging on a few I think. *y* *y* on the review man,
-
I am going to buy a bunch of those Rebel Battlepacks...they look so cute. Reminds me of when I first saw the Darth Vader minifig. But then I'll have to buy a bunch of Stormie battlepacks to keep the numbers in favour of the Empire... Battlepacks are going to be the death of my income

Indiana Jones Part 4 - Set Pictures are available
Big T replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hmm these are hard to judge since we can't compare them to the movie counterparts at this stage. The tank thing has me intruiged, especially those two saws on it. Interesting perliminary pics regardless -
Wow that knight is awesome. Defiently going to pick a few up. Good little army builder, and gives you plenty of pieces for variety!
-
I'm really digging the Cargo truck with the forklift...looks like a great set and a definent want for me. The police Station looks phenomenal, but I may not be able to get it due to size/space...although it's very tempting
-
Yeah I've been to the theme parks...bar Wet n Wild...which incidently is the one I want to go to most at the moment. Dreamworld was always my favourite. Last time I was there the Giant Drop had just opened. You ever been to Tasmania?
-
Yeah the scenery is pretty sweet. I was hoping we'd see a patrol officer, or one of the cool sleeved dudes there as well, but it's still cool. Are they Brickarm guns? Good to see no Best-Lock border jumpers :-D

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Big T replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Without a doubt the Stormtrooper for me. They were what first caught my lego star wars attention. Boba and Vader fall just behind. -
It's a little bulky in the back for my liking, but it looks pretty cool, especially considering what you had to work with. Incidently I modded my speeders slightly so there is some room in the back for storage
-
I won't bother posting pics since they in here already, but mine was the Sorting Hat as well
-
He's right it does look like that! Awesome haha. I like the backpacks too man
-
Hollisbrick: Yeah I've been there a few times when I was younger (theme park capital of Australia) and is probably my second favourite state in Australia (behind mine of course) because of the awesome coastlines and rainforesty bits And thanks again to everybody replying...I know I'm going to enjoy this place :-D
-
Well ok here is my Sig Fig: Basically he's the evil overlord type character over my city. You know, the sort that uses the money from taxes to buy fancy white suits. Has a certain taste for the idea of honour in fighting, and prefers to settle confrontations through a sword or gun duel....when the he can win...otherwise he sends his cronies after them :-D Honour when it suits him basically.

My vote goes to the Imperial Flagship. although the figures are better in the Clipper, as far as ship design goes I think the Flagship is the nicer of the two. While it's not as wide, it just looks sturdier. But they are both nice ships, it's a pity we never got a really big ship for either group I think
