Aww, man! I was hoping I could find this in the next few days and review it. Now I want it more, but probably won't do a review. Well, I might if I'm bored. :skull: Anyway, thanks for the review! DSR -

[Comic] Jack and Jessa visit the Archives
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Ah, thanks, buddy! Glad someone likes my humor! The first pic is blurry because the camera I was using sucks and has a hard time focusing on stuff, it was dark so I was using flouresent lighting instead of flash, because the flash always ruins the shot, and because it took literally 20 shots to get that shot, and it was the clearest one of them all! Anyways, thanks for posting so fast! DSR -
Okay, hopefully this one will go over better than the last! THE STORY: Okay, since the last comic, Jack, Jessa and 214 were sent to research in the Archives. The Jedi Council wanted Jessa to learn some basic Jedi history and such before going into battle. This comic shows the events of that trip. The Characters: Jack Jessa 214 Jack: Ah, here we are, the greatest place for learning in the entire Galaxy! The Great Archives! Jessa: I still don't get what we're doing here! Why aren't we training for battle? Jack: Well, there's two reasons for that. One, your not ready for that yet. Two, the Jedi Council doesn't want me in battle for a little while. Jessa: Why's that? Jack: Umm, they said it had to do with my anger problems in battle... (FLASHBACK) (END FLASHBACK) Jack: Hey, where'd that come from! Oh well, let's get inside. Jessa: Whee, a giant museum. Boring! Jack: It isn't a museum, it's the Archves. Just go inside already. 214: Ay, whaddya want me to do? Jack: Uh, just, like, clean and load the weapons. Or something. 214: Ah, I'm never appreciated 'round here. It's always bloody cleaning. I should be flying a V-19 right now! Jack: This here is a statue of... Jessa: No duh, of course it's a statue... Jack: I wasn't done. This is a statue of a nameless, but very important man. He designed many building machines and helped contributed to modern day intergalactic society. Jessa: Oh. Jack: Anyway, lets go look at the Archhive files. 214: Aww, bloody Hell! Tha darn loading mechanism is jammed! Better get Jack... 214: Hey Jack, how do you unjam this bloody loa... *click* 214: Blimey! *whoosh* Both: Woah! 214: Nevermind, it cleared now. Hope you enjoyed this one, guys! DSR

Ha, you posted as I finished the last update! Also, can you take the quote of my update out of your post? It's making the topic obscenely long! DSR -
Heh, I caught that too. On Topic: Nice review, JimButcher! Can't wait to get my hands on one! DSR

Time for my first review! 7673 MagnaGuard Starfighter Peices: 431 # of figs: 2 Price: 44.99 USD THE BOX: Pretty decent size box for the price. MagnaGuards: The Normal Box Stuff: Front of the ship: Back: Open Cockpit: Back of the Box: Contents: DSS (dreaded sticker sheet): First Manual Page (because it's super important not to build on carpet. ) Fig Build: The Magna Guard Head: (IMO it's beautiful! ) The Purple Cone! Cape Box: The Capes!: Just One: The MagnaGuard: Back: The Parts (nicely sorted!) The new Windshield Piece (Beautiful!) The First Step: Seccond Step: More Steps Of The Main Body: The Wing Assembly: (Sorry for the blur) Attached: Opposite Wing: Both Attached: Rear Engine Build: The Staffs. I have mine set up differently than in the instructions. I put one cone over the hump on one end of the staff, and the other in the original spot. Then, to load them onto the fighter, all you do is push the original placed cone down and put it right in. This way, the staff looks better and it works the same! See? It slides right in: Skeletal parts of sides attached: Close Up: Bottom: Both Wings Attached: Hidden Missle Launcher: Raised Up: Another Shot: Staffs Attached: Complete: Side Panel: Side Pods: Complete: Swooshable!: Finished!: Time to complete: >2hrs. Okay, Overall rating time! PRICE: 9/10- Could have been 40.00 USD, but due to new molds, this is understandable. PARTS: 9/10- Could have hade more Dark Red, but thats IMO. Plus, I love Dark Red! BUILD TIME: 8/10- I took my time on this and enjoyed the techniques the designers intricated. Also, taking pics added to the time quite a bit. PLAYABILITY: 7/10- The main playability functions are the missle launchers in the back and the sliding cockpit. My only gripe with these is they don't set right with the other slopes on the top. Also, the inside of the cockpit is easily modded for regular size minifigs. Just pop a handlebar piece in the already provided arm in the cockpit and bam, your favorite figs can have a ride! It also helps keep the Magnaguards in place if they hold it. MINIFIGS: 10/10- IMO, the new molds are great! The only downfall is the right arm on both is less moveable due to the hard plastic turban-thing connected to the head. SWOOSHABILITY: 9/10- The starfighter is pretty sleek, and very swooshable! DESIGN: 9/10- The most important aspect, and this one's a winner! It's only a nine because it needs to have smoother edges in a few spots, but they are easily MODable. OVERALL SCORE: 8.7! I think it's an awesome set. Very satisfying! 2008 SW ON! DSR DSR

I personally thought the entire series was amazing, especially the last movie. SPOILERS BELOW! I really thought Azula had taken out Zuko when she fired her lightning at Katara and he jumped in front of it and wasn't able to redirect most of it. And when Katara froze herself and Azula, I thought she was sacrificing herself. I was really surprised when she was able to waterbend around Azula and chained her. Also, I thought Aang was toast when Ozai knocked him into the pointy rock and it punctured his scar. But then he went all Super-haxx Avatar State and came back stronger than ever! I especially liked the rock/machine gun technique he used. I wonder if Toph could do that... And then, at the end, how everyone found their place, that was cool. Mai went back to Zuko and Ty Lee joined up with Suki's group. Did they ever show what happened to Azula, though? Also, I think one of the funniest/unexpected moments for me was after Mai helped Zuko escape from Boiling rock and Ty Lee toook out Azula, and her face was like "oh shiz wtf did I do that for?!?" DSR

Good question, I've been wondering the same thing. Looks like we're getting pretty close to the cutoff, how long will the voting last? -

Mr. Grenade says Hallo! (Boom) DSR -
Well, do the Jellies really stand a chanse with non-posable arms and crappy general-like things with posable arms? I don't think so. Plus, why would TLC let the "bad guys" (really the protagonists, but whatever) win? DSR

Heh, Ani, responsible...hehe... But yeah, Ahsoka is a new character. You would know her if you saw any of the new commercials on TV for the movie. And: And one more (without Ahsoka) Hehe, Ani is a total badass.... DSR EDIT: Ah, the pure bliss of horriblle Star Wars cosplaying....
-
I might just do that, because I don't have any droids. I might get the Dropship instead, I don't know. DSR EDIT: Whoah, what happened to my original post? Its gone! EDIT 2: Nevermind, a mod fused another what should I buy thread to this one and it kicked my post back a page.

I already gave him that thread, Bonaparte. Well, maybe he'll figure it out now. DSR

Why does everyone wait for sales? The only sale on Lego I've ever seen was an ExoForce Hero Tank at target for half price a few months ago, and the box was crushed. Either that or, like, one-day TRU sales on regular sets that they never advertise. Personally, I don't want to wait two years to save a few bucks on a set. Anyway, on topic, is it for sure now that the RGS comes with an extra set of Assaj lightsabers? DSR
