Here's my version. By the way, it isn't meant to be Wall-E, just an old maintinence droid, hence the different colors and number 1 on its chest.

Wow, this is very nice! The design is great, and so is the color scheme! Looking forward to more of your stuff! DSR

1. I assumed that considering you called yourself a "geriatric fan of lego"... It does explain a lot of the post though. 2. Okay, that I can understand. But if no one had said they were TFOL's, would you ever know the difference? 3. Okay, I understand that too. It was quite unnessasary.(on a related note, I never put that in my sig, even though I did find it funny.) 4. Umm, "talent"? Is this sarcasm? You sure use a lot of quotes when you post... 5. I thought the whole point of your post was to say that TFOL's weren't mature enough to be here, maybe I misunderstood? 6. I didn't mean our quantity meant we made EB better. I meant a lot of TFOL work contributes to the site. I agree, we do get a lot of teens and preteens that come on here and muck up the site with l33t t4lk and other things. I am just as annoyed by them as you are, belive me. 7. Wow. You must not know me at all. I know the point of the forums, why do you think I even joined? Also, the forums are for sharing MOC's. I was only sensitive to your comments because they were directly aimed at my age group, therefore I found it insulting. I have a very thick skin, by the way, I don't need to develop it anymore. 8. What is with you and these quote marks? I am very confident in my maturity, thank you. I could have just as easily said something like this: However, that would have been innapropriate, rude, and immature. Instead, I voiced my opinion in a mature matter and I am very pleased with what I have said here. I still feel I have responded in a mature way, and stand by that. Again, If I have misunderstood anything you have said so far, please say so. DSR PS: you double posted, hamilton.

Store Display Models?
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Darn it. I was hoping to get my hands on something, even if it was glued and drilled in to the case. Should I even bother asking about it? DSR -
Store Display Models?
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Wow, that got replies quick! Well, dang, I had hoped they only glued the model to the case, not the whole thing... Its strange though, at my TRU, a Castle display had a few detail bricks on the top of the turrets that had fallen off to the bottom of the case, that's mainly why I asked about that. Oh, well, maybe if I ask about this at my TRU I'll get lucky and find out the employee thet put it together was too lazy to glue the whole model! Hooray for optimism! I wonder why they even bother with making these display cases anyway. They waste perfectly good sets just to advertise the same thing thaat's on the box. And the boxes show more mostof the time! I for one couldn't do something like that to a perfectly good set. Ugh. DSR -
Hey all, I was thinking about the upcoming Clone Wars sets, and I wondered if TRU and the other stores will take down their old Star Wars display models to set up the Clone Wars models. Anyway, what I was wondering was, what do the stores do with the old display models? They can't sell them, right? I've heard a few stories of members getting some display models free from Lego stores in the Sales and Deals forum. Does TRU and the other retaileds do the same thing, just give them away? Do they keep them in the back? Or maybe they give them to the employees? The reason I'm interested is because my local TRU has many Star Wars displays, many of them expensive sets. The glue that they use to hold the models to the display looks like simple hot glue, easily removed with a knife, I think. So, in a nutshell, these are my main questions. 1. Will my TRU give me the display models if I ask a manager? 2. Do they glue every brick together on the models, or just the model to the display case? 3. Will the glue come off easily? 4. Do you think they will dump the old models for the Clone Wars ones? 5. Will the bricks and figs be good as new when the glue is removed? Thanks in advance, DSR

You know, I've found that the internet is the safest place to be sarcastic. Then again, maybe my friends just don't enjoy my sarcasm... Funniest thing I've read on Eurobricks, I think. What happened to the "friendly reminder" aspect? To say you are insulted by "the mere presence of TFOL's" I find very insulting and ignorant. TFOL's do not all have "cutesy sigs", and I also find that very insulting. Also, you cannot judge someone merely by their age. Most TFOL's make amazing MOC"s. I feel I am very mature. I strive to make positive comments on people's work and try to give some constructive critisism, too. Surely, you remember my comments here. Also, it has been shown in this topic that we TFOL's are mature enough to take out the "damn cutesy sigs" as asked by the staff. We obviously didn't find it that important to make a fuss about it, and followed through with what was asked of us. We are not murking up the waters of EB, in fact, considering the amount of us, I feel we are helping our community grow and flourish. I would just like you to know, hamilton, that I am deeply insulted by your comments and I'm sure that my fellow TFOL's will stand behind me here. If I have misunderstood anything you have said, I apologize. However, I do not apologize for my age, as I believe that age does not matter here, for we TFOL's have made the decision to join a mature community and are expected to act maturely. By saying what you have, I now see you as an immature person for being so judgemental when you really have no reason to be. I realize you are entitled tor own opinion on the matter, but I think this one was better off kept to yourself. I feel I have made a very mature statement here. DSR

Because he can. Anyway, nice work as always, SirNadroj!

Really nice. Looks like it holds more than my Crimson Bolt . Oh well, nice job!

This is pretty friggin sweet, KDog. The design is just awesome. On a related note: Holy crap, how did the price go up 20 USD by adding STICKERS! How many sheets does it use? DSR

Minifig Arm Techniques?
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Holy crap, are all your minifigs super brittle or something? I've never broken a minifig arm im my life, nor have I heard of something like that! Anyway, on topic, I haven't been able to find any tubes for this yet. I thought I took one with me for this on my trip, but I guess not. I will find some on Tuesday when I get home and hopefully get some cool ideas! In the meantime, if anyone else wants to try these ideas, please do! DSR -
Thanks for the ideas, Trexxen. Maybe I'll try that. By the way, it actually wasn't intended as a cargo ship at first, more like a private ship for one. But, like most of my MOC's, I started with the wings and cockpit and tryed to make it as sturdy as possible. Then the back "cargo area" just kind of grew out of the rest of it. It's better for troop transport, actually. And I've yet to find any cargo to hold... DSR

Minifig Arm Techniques?
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Ah, thanks Oky! I couldn't find anything on brickself last night except for the BrickFA technique ( the last one). I've actually tried it before (about a year ago) and found it wasn't a very reliable way to customize figs (legs always came out from pressure, couldn't get the legs to face the right way, ect.). Maybe I was just doing it wrong... Anyway, thanks for the ideas! DSR EDIT: Quick quesiton, does anyone know if you can use a cut down peice of the harder flex tube and a regular minifig arm? ( So that the minifig has a regular arm and a robot arm?) Thanks in advance! -
Nice cake! When I first saw this, I was like "what the... what does cake have to do with Star Wars!?!?!? But now I have been enlightened to one simple fact: Everything has to do with Star Wars! DSR

Hey all, I recently came across a few old figs ( the ones with the smaller cross on the bottom of the torso), and I've heard you can use them for a few different arm tecniques. The only one I know of is pushing one of the horn peices (Example. You should see the horn part i'm talking about.) What I want to know is if there are any other tecniques for using the old torsos? I'm trying to make a cyborg Sith character, and I figure that I can use one of the black torsos I found. Any help would be appreciated! DSR

Alright, its gone. Now, how do we get everyone else to take theirs out? Front page announcement, maybe? Just a thought. DSR EDIT: Question for Jipay: Why is it, exactly, that you have a link to Eurobricks in your signature on Eurobricks? It seems a little unnessesary to me, but who am I to argue with your reasoning? Just curious.

2007 Great Knight in Nintendo DS
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to legobear's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
So, is it a custom fig, or did it come with the game or something? Also, pics aren't showing up in your post AND the folder isn't public yet... Waiting NOT on! DSR -
Yeah, well, I didn't look too hard. (runs to look again) DSR
-
Will do! I'm thinking of making a fold down weapons rack or something instead of the lame net in the top dome (it's hollow on the inside of the dark red hump on the top!)
-
Thanks. I agree, it does need more blue. I was working with mostly parts from the Agent's truck and the AT-AP, because I tore them both down and started building.
-
Which one of them is yours? I don't know which one to look at to comment! I'm sure it's great! DSR
