  1. (Pretend Stewie says Chicago instead of Florida, and Brickworld instead of Disneyworld) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyywR9GqptA
  2. Thank you, everyone! I'm glad you all like it. The logo is surprisingly sturdy, with only about five cheese slopes falling out if I hold it on it's side - the four upside down near the top, and the one at the bottom near the rear wheel. Now that you mention it, that's probably what I should have done, but the lettering is actually just held in by pressure.
  3. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That's all a matter of opinion. To me, no, one minifig is not worth $25 regardless of what colour it is. To others, $40 would be a price they can't refuse. Value is a funny thing in that it differs from person to person. What I think you're really saying is, "I want a white Boba Fett. Is $25 the cheapest I can get one?" The quick answer to that question is yes. A quick search of Bricklink, Amazon and Kijiji shows that $39.99 is the cheapest you can currently find one online. You seem to want one, so I'd say go for it. If you're unsure, but leaning towards getting it, keep it in the bag for now, and resell it later if you decide you don't want it. I hope this helps.
  4. In the three years I've been here, I've seen a dramatic increase in post quality, but recently I have seen a decline in post quality. Thank you Shadows for putting up this reminder. Additionally, short comments and bad grammar will enforce bad habits in the future, which really won't help you at all. So, even if not for others, you might want to consider reading your comments a few times before clicking the 'Add Reply' button.
  5. Here's my latest truck. It's a classic style Pepsi delivery truck. After my trip to NYC this summer, I decided to build a classic cola delivery truck. I held a vote earlier in the year to decide which company to build. Freightliner FL60 Pepsi Delivery Truck by Ricecracker., on Flickr Here's a close-up of the Pepsi logo. 6. Happy birthday Rick! Enjoy yourself!
  7. It's the same location, and Toy Building Zone absorbed their stock when they left. From what I've heard, the location was determined through a number of 'studies', including TRU's highest percentage of LEGO sales in Canada. I've heard about a potential store in Richmond Hill for a couple of years, but clearly there's been nothing yet. I assume Richmond Hill also has a high percentage of LEGO sales, as well as being where LEGO Canada is headquartered.
  8. I've heard rumours for a couple years from credible sources about stores coming to the GTA.
  9. I stopped by TRU at Yonge and Eglinton today and they had a large assortment of 2011 sets in stock. In no particular order: 5932 5933 7285 Police Dog Assignment 7305 5765 7978 Angler Attack 7286 Prison Transport 7287 Police Boat 7498 Police Station 7325 7326 7327 Scorpion Palace 5761 5762 7288 Mobile Police Unit 5766 Cottage (?) I can't recall the names of the other sets, but I believe most of them are Creator sets. They also had the City Advent Calendar in stock.
  10. Hey guys. The annual Toronto Fire Fighter Holiday Toy Drive began today, and this year, LEGO is a sponsor. For every Duplo product donated, LEGO will match the donation. I went over and talked to the firefighter who's running it and he's a great guy. I believe you can drop donations off at any Toronto Fire Station. There's going to be a promotional event on Dec. 2nd at the Shops at Don Mills which I'm going to try to go to as well, and I was told TLG is going to be there.
  11. Congratulations, Big Cam! Well deserved.
  12. If any of you are or were interested in my Bombardier Sidewalk Plow, now's your chance to get. I've decided to donate it to Creations for Charity, and you can buy it through the link Nannan posted at the top.
  13. You'll need a wheelbarrow, and a portable light tower and concrete finishing blade would be cool! My computer's about to die, but I'll post pictures later.
  14. RTE on Opera 10.52/Safari 5.0.2. Sorry
  15. Bring enough to cover the regular price, and then if they haven't changed it, you'll have change.
  16. Recently, I've had another issue come up. When I have a space between paragraphs, it doesn't always show up, and sometimes it'll take out spaces between words once it's posted . I don't know if it's been happening to anyone else, but it's getting a little frustrating.
  17. As it happens, I'm actually working on a car transporter based on an Actros as well! Here's what I came up with. Using the 1x4 fence pieces as anchors, I attached 1x8 plates as the four pillars. I've used the fence pieces in different ways for the front and the back so you can decide which to use. Both are surprisingly sturdy. The picture shows the upper rear deck at the full angle it can reach, as well as the upper middle deck down as the ramp up. If you need any more pics of it, just let me know!
  18. Here's something I came up with quickly for you. On the left, there is the white round 1x1 plate with hole, and on the right is a trans-clear round plate on the front and a silver round plate on the back.
  19. With the candidate who was elected to mayor of Toronto. ;)

  20. Happy birthday, guys!
  21. Congratulations, Captain! I'm sure you'll do a fine job in your new position.
  22. That's amazing, Selander! Dark Red has got to be one of my favourite LEGO colours, and you've definitely done it justice here. I know you've built an Actros before, and you've captured all of the details to make it instantly recognizable. As Prateek mentioned, using the 1x2 Grilled Cheese for the hump looks great. For your problem, the truck in the picture you've shown us appears to have a three-section upper deck, which is connected to the four columns. You might want to try building the front and back sections stationary, and have the middle section able to fold down to the lower deck. I will try to come up with something tangible and take pictures for you.
  23. I'll add in my praise for the news icons! I know I would've gotten used to them, but the circular plates were confusing at first, especially for quickly browsing. I liked the old ones too, but these ones have a more LEGO feel, and are a fresh change. On another note, it's great to see you around here more often, Hinck, even if it is for the icons.
  24. That's amazing! I love all of the buildings you've got so far, and I can't wait to see how you pull this off. Be sure to tell us where it'll be displayed once you've got that figured out. If you're interested in me designing some cars and trucks, PM me with specifics. I'd love to help out.
  25. That's an interesting set, Grogall. I don't really see the Rockefeller centre as an architectural marvel, but then again, I'm not in charge of LEGO's marketing department . Thanks for showing it to us! The store opened back in July.
