  1. My heart says yes but my wallet says no.
  2. Spitballing ideas here... We have seen museums in Ideas, and we have seen museums get rejected. We have also seen 48x32 footprints with AS, so could a museum ala the Egyptian MOC be out of the question? That would be a way to get the dinosaur skeletons that pop up on Ideas into the theme. Alternatively, what about a video arcade with candy store or ice cream shop? Or comic book store, like the one we never got from The Simpsons. I can’t see a game store or even Lego version of Blockbuster video because the theming seems to be a few decades too early.
  3. Maybe now we'll get a follow up to the Disney castle, with a Space Mountain set...? *crosses fingers*
  4. My take is that the Palace Cinema, Tower Bridge and Detective's office are the three at risk of retiring in the next 18 months in that order. You're good on Assembly Square, Detective's Office might be pushing it and the ones not yet released are good to go.
  5. I'd like to see a couple different things along the same vein as we have been getting. Obviously more modular buildings for starters, but I wouldn't mind seeing some international cars in terms of the annual car releases. I mean, we have had 2 VW Beetles, a VW Bus, a Ferrari, a Mini, and by extension, a Caterham yet there are plenty of well-loved cars that are not from Europe that could be a hit. Examples could be Chevrolet Camaro/Ford Mustang/Dodge Challenger, Corvette, Viper, GT40, Shelby Cobra representing North America, Toyota Supra, Nissan Skyline, Acura NSX representing Asia, and so on. In terms of architecture, perhaps I'm biased from living in British Columbia, but I wouldn't mind seeing some North American landmarks too. Here's 3 from Vancouver: Science World (Telus World of Science aka the Geodesic dome from Expo 84) Canada Place BC Place Stadium I also wouldn't mind seeing them take on a Disney theme whereby they make representations of Disney Park rides, to go along with the Disney Castle. Perhaps not a faithful recreation of It's a Small World by any stretch, but more in the same vein as the amusement park Creator sets.
  6. Have we heard any rumors about another Amusement park set? If I recall, there was a brief discussion about a Merry-go-round that may have been delayed to allow for the winter village train or a similar set, but nothing since.
  7. Aug 1st for the rest of the sets. They're up on the CA shop at home site as we speak.
  8. It's a licensed set; they had to pay the Octan licensing fee to Lord Business!
  9. Not to suggest even MORE police, but with next year being Canada's 150th anniversary, how about a Klondike gold rush theme with a sub theme including Lego's take on Mounties?
  10. I'll agree with you there. When I BL'd my Cafe Corner, I tried printing the PDF and that was just a waste of ink! I had to up the brightness on my monitor because the brown bricks blended in with the black and the bley too much, and one couldn't differentiate between the bricks as it looked like a gob of black on paper... And I have good eyesight!
  11. Yep, but that's under the Ideas line. It would be poor form for them to short us both a Winter Village set AND a Creator Expert car in one year, but stranger things have happened. How about a black 1969 Chevy Impala ala Supernatural? Didn't a Supernatural set on Ideas get close to hitting the 10,000 supporters mark only to be turned down or fall just short?
  12. We've had forest police and swamp police, so maybe snow police, deep sea police, volcano police or construction police?
  13. What 60098 has going for it right now, is that it's on sale for $191.98 CAD from $239.99 CAD on the Canadian Shop @ Home if that helps sway you in any way. Free shipping since it's over $75 CAD
  14. The rarest ones are the ones no longer available. The ones fetching the highest value are, in no particular order, Cafe Corner, Market Street, Green Grocer. After that would be Fire Brigade, Grand Emporium, Town Hall.
  15. I think it's due... VW Beetle, VW Camper van, Mini Cooper, Ferrari F40. Some American muscle would be well represented regardless of the make. Although, a Mopar vehicle such as the General Lee would probably be out due to licensing (And a questionable flag on the roof), a Mustang would be more likely due to the popularity. I'll still hold out for a Camaro though and failing to have a 1969, I would love to see a fifth generation version, in order to have a lego version of my own.
  16. I wouldn't mind seeing the 1969 Indianapolis 500 pacecar - An Arctic White Camaro SS/RS, hugger orange (reddish) racing stripes and convertible
  17. My poor wallet... I'm already playing catch-up with the deep sea and construction themes... Now that airport, volcano and amusement park themes are coming, I might as well tell my better half to leave as she'll only get mad at me for buying more Lego.
  18. I'm finally getting around to BL'ing Market Street. The parts that have given me the headaches obviously are the doors, arches and hoses. A solution for the hoses though...? I realized that years ago, I picked up an Exploriens set, 6854 Alien Fossilizer. In that set, there was a white hose and surprise, surprise, it appears that it is the same one as in Market Street! So instead of paying as much as $40 CAD EACH for the piece, I looked up 3 complete 6854 sets (and checked the description to make sure the hose wasn't swapped) and at an average of $14 CAD, I have the parts and a few extras. Now there's just a few more pieces to get, namely the blue torso which seems to be about $18 CAD at least...
  19. As soon as I saw it was Sold Out on the CA Shop at Home, I made a panic-purchase as soon as I tracked one down at another retailer. No VIP points, but I'll have it.
  20. Beating a dead horse but I'm wondering when the designer video will arrive for this and GBHQ. It'd be nice to get some insight from the designers like with previous sets.
  21. There's an awful lot of criminals in the modular series between the DO and BB now, isn't it about time we had a lawyers office? I recall a rumor that there was to be a lawyer office with laundromat but with BB having one, I can't see that happening. I'm thinking a 2-building Boulangerie/Delicatessen, with living space upstairs would be perfect.
  22. Perhaps it will include a brick-built Stay-Puft marshmallow man too? A few years ago in the Star Wars clone wars line, there was a small Jabba's son (Rotta?) minifig. Could that be tweaked to be Slimer, perhaps?
  23. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!
  24. True. I am personally not a fan of Ninjago but I could see myself MOC'ing that set into a classical Chinese/Japanese garden in modular fashion.
