Had to go above average, if only for the boarding ramp-- if they were going to make one without a hinge, they should have at least made it the same height as the King's Castle.

I really have to disagree on this one. Many people complain about the wii gameplay being bad... I actually think that it's definitely the most fun version. It does have that sort of "unfinished" feel to it on some levels, though, which is probably the biggest turnoff. I don't see how they would be able to make a sequel, but I'd probably buy it if they did. I'm pretty sure that they'd learn from their mistakes.

I agree with you SWMAN, a more modernized Forestmen faction would be great... imagine armies of people looking just like me! Then again, if we are getting elves, even if not this year, I would imagine them to be very similar to Forrestmen, so I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get something like them. One could call the upcoming peasants a new human group, especially if they begin to appear in more sets.

I didn't much like them at first, but now I kind of do. I feel like it adds some good variety, and looks more classic than the mail armor torso. If you think about it, (or from what I know), soldiers would not always wear their armor, but sometimes just the kind of shirts they give them now, with the Crownie emblem but no armor. But if they were to change again... oh, now that'd be bad...

The two small subs are both from Alpha Team Mission Deep Sea. The 3 piece car is from those old racers with the box launchers (those guys from Lego racers 2) They had little dinosaur canisters around for a while, which is where that sand blue creature came from, and If I remember right the long yellow racer came from an old technic racers set with another blue one packaged together. It also looks like you've got a mini Millenium Falcon. Hope I helped. Sorry if I've written like English is my fourth language, it's not

This set has always looked rather nice to me, but I haven't gone after it, not for the reason you've mentioned, but mostly because of the terribly poor price/piece ratio. Being a fantasy theme, the mast heights don't bother me, and I haven't expected Lego ships to come with rudders or steering wheels in a while. Lego should tended to those flaws you mentioned, as it would have upped the depressingly low piece count.

You can only start back at the beginning of the level, even if saved. No idea what happened with the boss, though.

I've often wondered the same thing. I guess it's the retro thing... or something. However, fearing Hinckley's axe and death-by-bucket, I never asked. I'm interested to find out how this poll turns out, though.

How can you sleep at night?

I would't consider myself to be a "gamer" but I really like TFU for Wii so far. True, the game has its flaws, (graphics, no AI for multiplayer... although there is multiplayer!!) But I'd really recommend it for the amazing controls and storyline. I'm not done with it yet, but I'm really looking forward to the rest of it! 9/10? Brawl alone should knock 8 points off that... PS The Rancor, I killed you baaad

The Baritones Discussion Thread
Faramir replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Sounds interesting, please put me on the waiting list for Baritones if still possible. Thanks! -
I just got back from a ceremony in my town. I still remember some of it, I was in second grade, I came home early and told my mom we were sent home because there was a "terrace attack"... aside from that I don't remember much. God Bless America

I really have to agree with what other people are saying here. Not to sound harsh, but just make the MOC yourself! Theres not really much point in having someone else build something for you. I read those books btw, not bad, but should have ended after around book 3.

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Faramir replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I haven't seen them, but that means nothing... First reaction: Lots of technic, lots of big pieces. What's with the color scheme? Light green and orange? It looks like it might just be a tint on the whole thing, so let's hope so. -
No problem, it took a few days, but I'm over it now Keep asking for zombie and a certain walrus will find pieces of you scattered all over his bucket... Thanks for supporting my original title, you should be my lawyer!

Not to take credit all for myself or anything, but this is actually my MOC... I guess I meant it as more of an "Apoc" MOC than "Post-Apoc." I kinda built it to be an alien robot that goes around destroying everything, so I guess you're both kinda right.

I still gots about 2 more hours left of the summer partay until school so *thbbtbtftbfhf* Sound like science should be interesting for you...

Isn't purple a relatively new color anyway? I mean, it wasn't around when the podrace sets were released, and instead they had to use that orange... wasn't that the reason? It's strange such a new color would have such a short life. One question, though... would this include trans-purple? The prelim SW sets had trans purple cones... If it includes trans, I'd love to see my Magna Guards staffs shoot up to $50 apiece

Don't make me make an example of you... And thank you!

I guess our only choice is to go back to hunting whales

We would be happy to do something about that... would you happen to have several thousand drums of oil lying around that you might spare?

I can't believe that after what I said people are actually trying to put Jar Jar in a shiny bikini... Please stop, even without pictures I'm starting to imagine it...
