  1. Looks to me like a pirates community build... Same size blocks and all, pirately graph paper. Doubt it's a ship (unless its a really bad one) So I'm thinking maybe Imperial trading post type thing?
  2. This makes alot of sense, but this isnt to say people will be all that happy about it. This'll only make it harder to get complete collections. Anyways, I love this idea. A lot. Those of you who are saying that this is a new idea that could hurt Lego's image are wrong... they've done this same thing before. Think back to classic Bionicle for a minute. The Kanohi mask packs contained 3(?) random masks, you wouldn't know which you were getting. It was a great idea, too. I remember buying a bunch to try and get a full set of Kopaka's masks. Of course I never did, but it's not like they could tell you which figure you're getting. This way is only fair. If they told you beforehand, you'd walk up to shelves overflowing with diver figures while the spacemen and forrestmen sat there on ebay at $15 each.
  3. Great Moc! Really loving how you fit so much into the interior, and the thruster design is awesome! My only suggestion would be to exchange the bley engines in the back for the black ones from Batman 7780.
  4. Thanks for the review! Definitely not the first Atlantis set I'll get, but still looks pretty good to me. I personally don't mind the new teeth, even if they are rubbery... a little variety never hurt anyone, and they can be easily recycled in MOCS. Now if only someone would get a hold of a Neptune Carrier...

    MM Walker

Hey, everyone. Been kept away for a while, but now I'm here with my latest MOC. Sorry for the pic quality... it was dark, and I wanted to get the shots over with already. Overview Alternate View, with pilot Front View Pilot at the controls Interior without pilot. Seat is all tan, tinted by the windscreen. Closed Back Side view Yeah, now that I think of it, maybe I should take some brighter pictures. Anyways, thanks for looking... Brickshelf folder when public: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=407636 C & C Welcome as always!
  6. I'm pretty sure that this is it... after all, they released 2 small MM sets during January of its second year, and then another full summer lineup, so I think we'll see that here, too.
  7. Although the helmet looks large, I think it's just the camera angle. Every minifig shot I've seen from this show has been from the same angle, and each one looks oversized. If you look at the size of the head inside the helmet (On figs like the new Space Police one) you'll see that the head looks large too. I doubt this'll be any bigger than the stormtrooper helmet we have now...
  8. I want it. And none of that "You can have it in the US if you order on this day at 6:34 PM but only if we haven't run out and you don't mind paying $15 overseas shipping and it's raining in Mexico" stuff like they did with the castle advent calendar last year
  9. Landspeeder looks... a bit big Still a great fig selection, though. I'm thinking this one might go for about $20 ARC looks pretty nice too, though similar to the first... I think it is the one from Quest for R2-D2, also.
  10. I used to be a pretty big fan back around when Away From the Sun came out, so I have a lot of memories of listening to them when I was younger... Away From the Sun is my favorite song by them, too Unfortunately, I can't say I liked the Seventeen Days or 3 Doors Down albums nearly as much as their first two... The whole quiet arpeggio verse turning into a wall of sound distorted chorus every time gets repetitive after a while, if you ask me.
  11. Actually... no The guy on the last page was right, Tantive just got bumped back to Oct 23 last night... Someone needs to schedule a town hall meeting with TLC
  12. I, for one, happen to very much like the speeder. It reminds me of the type of maintainence ground vehicles we've seen in the past in sets like the new A-wing and the old X-wing, which are great for rebel hanger dioramas and such. Seriously, though, I'm astounded there are no pictures of any 2010 sets out there by now, except for that tiny Atlantis thumbnail...
  13. From what I can gather, the whole point of the Midi-Scale Falcon was to compensate for the lack of minifigs with detail, sturdiness, and swooshability, things system scale large ships usually do not have. The malevolence pictured looks to about about twice the length of the Midi Falcon, not especially detailed, and... well, hard to swoosh. I just don't see it.
  14. Hate to be one of those skeptics, but I'm actually really doubting the Malevolence :\ The whole scale of it just looks completely off to me. Too big for Midi-Scale, too small for system. Just take a look, the entire right side is extremely thin, barely the height of a Minifig, from what I can estimate from the size of the pegs that cover it. Practically looks like TLC looked at this pic and whipped up a quick lego version (not very accurate too, when you compare them.)
  15. 1. Imperial Shuttle by Baronsat 2. Venator Star Destroyer by thire5 3. UCS TIE Defender by cavegod 4. Emperor's Arrival by Morten Sonne 5. UCS V-Wing by Olog Good luck to everyone!
  16. There's no way to know until we see some prelim pictures... even then, we may not know for sure... I remember a the Battank prelim had a whole base to go along with it, which was cut by the end PS Since you're new, you may want to introduce yourself here
  17. I'm not usually one to complain (Heck, I'm not usually one to post, either ) but is anyone else experiencing a problem with the Rebel helmets in 8038? For some strange reason, they seem to sit a bit too tight on minifig heads... Too tight as in I'll put one on a minifig, and then watch closely only to find it quickly squeezing itself up higher on the head stud, ending up much looser than we've come to accept Like I said, I'm not usually one to complain, but I've been waiting for TLC to make that helmet for a long time, and I'd hate to think that they're all like mine. So I ask again, is this just happening to me? Thanks
  18. When I first saw this I thought "Oh, nice! I'll definitely get that." Then I checked the first post and saw "$200-250 USD" Is this price confirmed? Cmon Lego, looks like a $100 set
  19. Wow, good find... gotta say, it looks pretty legit to me. The guy in the foreground looks like he could be a rebel pilot, but would it have CW packaging then?
  20. Anyone else read that page and see that it states that Obi-Wan fights Luke Skywalker? Come on, Lego, you can do better than that...
  21. I'd made and posted this steampunk MOC a few months ago: It could work as a rebel patrolling the streets of one of the cities? Even Space Police has ONE ground vehicle. I was thinking I could add a small flying enemy and put them together for the $5.99... how about that?
  22. It looks to me like it isn't just fold the wheels out of the way, but that they become thrusters instead. Maybe this means there'll be some kind of greebling inside them, too? So glad GE is out in the US now... too bad I just spent the last of my money on the Castle Market Village
  23. I've got to go with Insectoids... that was my first set, man!!
  24. Nice review! I think I'll probably pick this one up, but it's definitely not on the top of my list. I'm still not a huge fan of the Agents' new armor either... the part around the neck looks way too thick, and raises the head much too much. Thanks again!
  25. Hilarious, as always. Great to see you guys are back, and nice to finally see where all those drawings were coming from... Woah, creepy... I use the same exact drawer unit for minifig parts... with minifig heads in the same spot...
